Anybody else stunned that Puma gets no love from 99% of runners despite the Nitro line being incredibly good? Just bought my first pair ever at nearly 60 years old! Been running off & on since I was thirteen.

This is my daily trainer (easy/recovery runs). I agree with what Kofuzi said; once the shoe breaks in, it is so great to run into.

Great video as usual. I got the FR Nitro last year and been using them on and off. They spent a bit of time out when I got the Boston 12s, but now realising that the FRs are better feeling at that easy pace, and the Bostons can be a bit stiff. Glad to see Puma are getting the recognition they deserve for a range of great shoes. Prices have been good too - often reduced shortly after release.

I’m a neutral runner, always have been, but have been suffering a double whammy of an insertional Achilles tendinopathy and post Tib overload following my last marathon effort in Chicago!
These have been fantastic in supporting my heel during runs. I have quite narrow ankles and heels so I had to use all the lace holes to have a proper lock down.
    The ride is very smooth

The FR nitro is one of the easiest to recommend to other people, blindly. It's a stability shoe that doesn't feel restrictive. It's also a shoe than can handle easy, tempo, to threshold paces.
I guess my only gripe with it is the snug fit, especially in the toebox.

I have 500 miles already in these shoes. They still perform great. After 350-400 miles they have loss some of the outsole in the outside area of my heels, since I underpronate, but they are still good to go. I bought them 9 months ago when I started to train for an Ironman for my easy runs/recovery days. I can say that they are well above any of my expectations, and saved me a lot of money

@@sigitnugroho7523 Yes, after 200 miles started to lose some rubber. And after 350-400 miles it reached the foam part. But they still are good to do some light work. Now for my long/easy runs I use the velocity nitro 3

Thanks for the review 👍 I'm a stability shoe user, flat feet and heel strike. I've only ran 7 miles in my pair so far and they felt a bit clunky so glad to hear that they will break in a bit. I normally use Asics GT1000/2000 and Kayano but they have not been so good lately (older models, not tried current models due to cost), so have been looking at other brands. I also have Puma Deviate Nitro Elite as my first pair of racing shoes so was already aware of the Nitro foam. Just need to use the ForeverRun more now 😉

I only have old versions GT1000-10, GT2000-10 and Kayano 28.
GT1000 is fine for shorter runs or some speedier runs/workouts, nothing too fast.
      GT2000 much the same.
Kayano is good for long runs, I did a half marathon race in them after I got an injury with Neutral racing shoes.
All are "ok" there's nothing special about any and don't feel as good as the older Kayano 25 and 26 I had.
I want to get a pair of the current GT2000 when they go on sale to compare as they are meant to be a jump up in performance/feel.
I have other shoes like the Puma ForeeverRun Nitro, New Balance Vongo v5, Mizuno Wave Inspire that feel better (to me anyway)

Not a great fit in the ForeverRun initially, but hoping changing the insoles will do the trick. After trying 2 different insoles, managed to buy one with some give in it, and used a combination of the Puma insoles and a Scholl insole underneath to achieve a close fit.

Hi Kofuzi. Oddly I had the opposite experience with this shoe. Felt fantastic out of the box and for the first 40-50 miles then I began to fall out with it. It began feeling’big’ and clunky’ and the upper rather than mould to my foot shape seemed to get baggy especially around the heal where the material was ‘gappy’. I wondered at that point if I should have gone down half a size but the shoe length was ok. In the end I stopped reaching for them and sold them on in near perfect condition with around 70 miles on them. Ian 🇬🇧

I was on the fence about getting this one after already owning the Magnify Nitro 2 ( which , as a heavier runner, I absolutely love!). But then found a pair of the white with neon pink and yellow Futrograde colorway on clearance at DTLR for $29.98!!!!! At that point it was a no brainer . I've used a couple of times now...but I think I have to break them in a bit more. At this point they feel a bit dead. But hey for $29.98 +10.95 shipping I'm not complaining. (DTLR's horrible cust service notwithstanding).

I absolutely hated the Foreverrun. I found it slappy, had heel slip and terrible lace pressure on an oddly thin tongue that bunches. I really like Puma and also think the Deviate Nitro 2 is fantastic. I'm onto my second pair. The Foreverrun though, I don't even think the foam felt particularly great, but was probably the best part. I'd take the original Magnify Nitro over this anyday. I actually prefer the original Magnify to the Magnify 2 as well, but that's a different issue.
Just my completely subjective experience of course and the person I sold the Foreverruns to is apparently happy with them.

Not a shoe on my wish list so commenting mostly for the algorithm. Interesting that the nitro changed inside of 100 when I've put well over 100 in my DN2 and it still feels fresh. So nitro ≠ nitro. It has to be a different formulation.

There are a lot of variables when it comes to supercritical foams. There is the core puck of material (could be Eva, could be Peba). And then there is the gas. Nitrogen gas gives us nitrogen foam. CO2 (and nitrogen I think) gives us hyperburst.

I just picked these up at Ross today for 40 bucks! This is only my second running shoe (using the ghost 15 currently), hopefully these work for me

Hey Kofuzi, I'm a big fan💖Hope your'e having a awesome day. Please help me out here- I have a budget of buying only 1 pair of running shoe, and I have to do everything with whatever shoe I'll buy, from doing daily training, and speed workouts, to running half-marathons. My personal best in Half-Marathon is 1:30 min and i consider myself a speed runner. My next goal is to finish half-marathon in 1:10 min. Which one pair of shoe should i grab?

Using this as a walk shoe, another over marketed very average shoe by the shoe tubers… 5/10

I might suggest that you look for walking reviews. You might find more helpful advice there.
Alternatively, try running in the running shoes to see if any running reviewers have similar or different running experiences to you.

I mean, honestly, they look more like a gym shoe.
