Do you know if there is a little extra space around two of the nuts on the side that attach the bar? I'm trying to figure out if I could attach a couple bolts for a saw mill attachment. I see space on one side in images. I'm also trying to figure out the size of the nuts. I think its 8mm like most. I'm trying to get it during the weekend sale otherwise I could contact them. Thanks.
Need to sharpen the chain. Should not be producing sawdust. After watching a few videos of this saw, it seems like it has enough power, but could definitely use a substantial chain like an Oregon chain and sharpened by someone who knows what they are doing. My $0.03
Aw, shucks. After I posted that thought what a smart alec (me). Should have kept to myself. Tx for being gracious in the reply. I do have a question if I can... I just received a Timberpro which I gather is the same as the Chinese make?? In the manual it states to use 95 octane fuel (just received the Timberpro 62cc engine). I stopped before doing anything so I could ask... 95 octane is racing fuel. Do they really mean this, or is this a typo and does the manual really mean 85 octane, at 25/1 2 cycle engine oil ratio? Any insight would be very helpful.
@drh3rd, no problem. I use the timberpro cs6150 with 95 octane and a ratio of 1:25 or 40ml engine oil in 960ml fuel. I am also with the manual, they mean 95octane (but i think it would make no harm if someone uses it occasionally with 85octane). It makes no damage to take the higher octane quality.
drh3rd 95 octane is the lowest grade petrol over here in uk and europe, most common, we have 95 & 98 as a rule,,, certainly not racing fuel,, standard road fuel,, i would guess if you have 85 as your standard then it will be ok,, the manual is printed for the uk & english speaking europeans i guess! hope that helps!
+Michel Lahmann Jepp. Die Maschine ist, für ihre 119€ (60cm + 50cm Schwert und Kette), ziemlich gut. Allerdings war die Kette schnell abgenutzt, mit einer neuen, bzw. mit dieser geschärften hier, ging es danach dann auch besser
+wkualum wkualum, yes it is dull, i´ve already sawed a half of this big tree. What i wanted to show was, that a chainsaw (24") for 140€ (about 150$) is able to saw a good as one for 1000$. Off course, maybe not for professional use, but for occasional work where someone needs 24". (Later i sharped the chain and i would go faster threw the wood, but beech is really hard and it abrasive a chain fast.
