Head prestige for me. I love that as well as the babolat pure strike. But for the most control definitely Prestige is your friend. If you have power then all you need is control so you can swing big.
I play with the Pure Strike VS, same mold, same everything as the Pure Strike 97. Just put 2g of lead at the 10&2 and its great for less than half. String it at 21kg or less.
Good List imo. For me, I'd prolly swap the Head Prestige Pro 18X20 for the Blade in the #1 Slot (but opinions vary). Thx for the post & Happy Holidays☮
good list. i use cx200 tour 16x19, which maybe u didn't try. a little less power and launch than the yonex 95 but for me it was better on slice and short balls.
I dunno if you played with the Percept 97D but claiming that it’s less stable is a bit daring. It’s very stable indeed and especially with that 18x20 string pattern it beats the 97H in many fields. The control is much better and slicing is on another level compared to its heavy brother.
Mold, weight, weight distribution, pro is glossy, thinner beam and It plays totally different. I love the Blade pro, but some do not because of its weight and Balance. I love rackets on the heavier side and the 18x20 plays better than the 16x19 imo.
Hi! I watched your video on your most favourite racket of 2024, which includes the tecnifibre TF40. But im just curious why you rank the TF40 as one of your favourite racket but did not rank it in this "top control racket" video, because you also mentioned that the TF40 is known for a control racket. So isnt it supposed to be in top 5 best control racket as well? I'm confused, so is TF40 a racket good for control or not? Im looking for a new control racket myself. Thanks
Hey Grisha, what do you think of the Dunlop CX 200 tour 18x20? Im a huge fan of control rackets and blasting groundstrokes at the baseline and I find this racket having the most control, feel and precision than other control rackets I used
While It is clear that the coupon code does not work for TW in the u.s but it also does not seem to take off anything if one orders from TW university europe from The U.S . Is this by design or an error ?
Hey guys I am amateur tennis player (3rd category) 29 years I have these two raquets: - Babolat pure drive roddick cortex 2012 - Yonnex vcore game 2018 Any suggestion? I am more an aggresive player
Doesn't blade v9, even 18x 20, has a bigger sweet spot than Pro Staff 97 v14? Just a tiny comment, PS 97v14 is 315g unstrung weight. I came from ncode 90 sq in 320g and just bought 2 x PS97 v14, cant wait to have it strung and try it out🎉🎉
Pure strike is far more precise than the percept 97 regular if using 16 gauge poly in both rackets . The cosmetics 100% does matter . If it did not matter to co.panies and consumers, companies would not keep changing them to increase sales .
For 2024, control-oriented tennis rackets focus on precision, feel, and consistency. These rackets typically feature smaller head sizes (95-98 sq in), thin beams, and flexible frames. Here are the top control rackets of 2024: --- ### **1. HEAD Prestige Tour 2024** - **Head Size**: 99 sq in - **Weight**: 320 g (unstrung) - **Highlights**: The Prestige Tour blends the iconic precision of the Prestige line with a slightly larger head for improved forgiveness. Perfect for advanced players who demand pinpoint accuracy. --- ### **2. Wilson Blade 98 v8 (16x19 & 18x20)** - **Head Size**: 98 sq in - **Weight**: 305 g (unstrung) - **Highlights**: Exceptional feel with *FortaFeel technology*. The 18x20 offers ultimate control, while the 16x19 adds spin potential. Great for baseliners seeking consistency. --- ### **3. Yonex VCORE 95/98 (2024 Update)** - **Head Sizes**: 95 or 98 sq in - **Weight**: 305 g (VCORE 98), 310 g (VCORE 95) - **Highlights**: Known for its control and spin, the VCORE series combines a flexible frame with the stability to dominate aggressive rallies. The smaller 95 is pure precision, while the 98 is more versatile. --- ### **4. Babolat Pure Strike 98 (2024 Update)** - **Head Size**: 98 sq in - **Weight**: 305 g (unstrung) - **Highlights**: The Pure Strike remains a staple for control-oriented players. It offers excellent feedback and is ideal for aggressive shot-makers who prefer sharp directional accuracy. --- ### **5. Tecnifibre TF40 305/315 (16x19 & 18x20)** - **Head Size**: 98 sq in - **Weight**: 305 g or 315 g (unstrung) - **Highlights**: A low-powered control racket with a buttery feel, perfect for players who like to dictate points. Both string patterns allow for customization based on playstyle. --- ### **6. HEAD Gravity Pro 2024** - **Head Size**: 100 sq in - **Weight**: 315 g (unstrung) - **Highlights**: Despite a larger head size, its thin beam and low flex rating make it highly control-oriented. Great for players who prefer softer feedback and a consistent stringbed response. --- ### **7. Dunlop CX 200 Tour (18x20)** - **Head Size**: 95 sq in - **Weight**: 305 g (unstrung) - **Highlights**: A classic player’s frame for surgical precision. Its compact head and tight string pattern cater to advanced players who value accuracy over power. --- ### **8. Prince Phantom 97P** - **Head Size**: 97 sq in - **Weight**: 325 g (unstrung) - **Highlights**: Ultra-flexible and arm-friendly, this is a dream for players seeking feel and control. The thin beam provides incredible feedback for touch shots. --- ### **9. Solinco Whiteout 18x20 305** - **Head Size**: 98 sq in - **Weight**: 305 g (unstrung) - **Highlights**: A rising star in the control racket category. The dense 18x20 string pattern provides excellent directional accuracy for competitive players. --- ### **10. --- Let me know your playing style, and I can suggest a more tailored option!

nice video does that mean top 5 rackets for power is next?
Not sure yet!
I think the ProStaff 97 comes with a tan synthetic replacement grip that resembles genuine leather.
Yes
Head speed MP vs blade v9 ?

How much lead did you add to your blade when you were playing the tournament?
I didn't add any. Just feel like I would if I were to switch to it.
1. Head Prestige Pro 18x20
2. Tecnifibre TF40 18x20
3. Wilson Blade 18x20
4. Tecnifibre Tfight 305 18x19
5. Diadem Elevate Tour 16x20
18x20 is too much of an acquired taste. Just will not suit 95% of recreational players. Its even fallen out favor with pro players.
Yap, because they dont need that much control. They are looking for more help :)
18x20 went extinct with the dinosaurs....
@@gavlatennis2824 18x19 new wave !
Prestige in 2024 💀
I use the PureStrike 100 16x19 with RPM Rough for an older guy like me is Chef's Kiss. Very easy on the arm.
Rpm rough is soft and powerful. Good choice

good content! What would you recommend to replace the Head Liquidmetal Radical MP racket nowadays?
So do you still prefer Gravity over blade ?
Все по делу :)
Роскошно!
Prince Phantom 100 p, i really like it and it’s armfriendly as well
