    the table is gorgeous...you'll refine your technique as you progress & youre already really good at making things better than they were. love your content & your innocent naivety, it makes me laugh constantly. thnx for sharing.

    That stuff on your hand is primitive GRAPHENE !! And that finish as is, could be turned into wicked guitar bodies.

    Good thing that bit came in a protective box, throwing stuff at it like that! I liked the cue music stuff, I cant think about that while filming. You are taking your channel to a new level this year!

    That's really a clever setup for flattening the blank. The leg design is very appealing; it's a beautiful piece!

    Very cool table. The single leg seems to defy gravity. Cleaning up those epoxy flakes must have been quite a chore!

      Yes. I agree it did take some time. Some did not fully go away though. Maybr i need to do some polishinh?

    Hi man! Very beautiful table! Can you send me a picture of the bed? I would like to see its wooden structure, seems nice. Its funny, I remember to play that game when I was young! Merry Christmas and happy new year!

    Andris, I enjoy the way you use power tools in unconventional ways with your different jigs. No sense in buying a planner if you are not in the business of using one all the time. Great work. I used to go down the dark hole of playing video games and after going to bed at 4 AM a few times wondered if there were other things I could do with my time...like watching people build things on youtube. Happy New Year and keep the projects coming.

      Thanks man! I agree i dont need a 4000$ planer if i only need do flatten couple of planks per year. I do also play videogames if i have free time. Currently playing cyberpunk as i write this comment, hehe. Take care my friend.

    I have seen in other videos, that there are special finish or polish liquids for an epoxy surface available. I often have seen people sanding the epoxy surface to a fine level and afterwords with the finish it gets crystal clear again. Similar to metal surfaces when you sanding them smooth and afterwards use a polish paste.

    Not sure if you already know, but a common technique with burning the wood surface is to a hand-wire-brush. Don't know exactly what material the bristles should be but you only get rid of the burned/dead material. The difference ist that you don't get the smooth colored surface but the grain really comes out very nicely.

    A very interesting experiment. That epoxy work sure is more difficult than many of the youtubers make it seem. How is that scheppach dust collector btw? Been thinking about buying one to hook to a dewalt lunchbox planer for a while now. All the best and happy new year!

      Ta on piisavalt hea, tolmukott on väike ja saab ruttu täis, aga igati oma hinda väärt. Tal on mingi sõel vahel, enne labasid, mis tuleb eemaldada kuna paksusemasina laast tõmbab toru umbe. Ma ei saa aru miks see sõel sinna üldse pandud on, ilusti saab ilma ka hakkama :D

    To get rid of the lines where the wood is a lighter color you need to sand them out. They are caused the router cutting deeper on some of your passes with the router bit.

    looks great with a light shone on the top, not very practical to have a light on all the time. just enjoy it. i love the magic floating table effect!. for PS1 try changing the input to the other options red yellow white doesn't work out on our nintendo Wii with colour properly on modern TV i can't explain how i arranged it but i think it's set on "component" not AV on the inputs on the TV

    • @Ants_Pants
      @Ants_Pants  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The problem was in the TV, 2 of 3 component ports were not working, the scarf adapter worked fine, got color and sound. Thanks for the info!

    Now that you have burned it you can sand blast it or wire brush it to give it that aged 3 d look. Make sure to wire brush out all the charced😅 carbon. Then epoxy.
    In college I pissed the wood shop teacher off for taking it over to the welding shop which pissed him off, Until they started to see that delightful driftwood look come shining through. They smiled at me then bro !!! And I only used marine grade varnish on it. I gave it away to an old girlfriend and she put it on her patio uncovered. Years later it was still in good shape . And it all started from pulling some 2x6 s out of a rain gully. Lol😅

    I would be very careful with a table like that with young children around, the thought of it toppling onto them terrifies me.

    • @Ants_Pants
      @Ants_Pants  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Don't worry i thought about that, i decided to anchor the table to the floor with 4 screws, it will not fall over, haha.
