Sydney Sprint is such a bop, Nintendo had no reason to go so hard on the Tour songs
Rushdown characters are probably the most respected architype due to most people love seeing characters scrape.
64 Fox is still my favorite version of Fox.
Melee Falco being a spirited successor in sorts to 64 Fox, is great because he just doesn't have to just rush down but also can zone people out
"Think Cammy from Street Fighter, or Chipp fron Guilty Gear."
**shows footage of Chipp getting his ass handed to him**
the music you use and the editing is good
Thank you!
Great edits like always!
I always viewed ultimate capt falcon as a bait and punish, since Nintendo is hell bent on not letting the man turn around and his initial dash is so bad
Melee Falcon is for sure a rushdown. After that lol who knows
Any character designed to be rushdown in ultimate is better off playing bait and punish.
@@ahmadkazan5473 it's especially bad for falcon cause of his goddamn inability to turn around and his miserable initial dash speed
Ultimate's meta prior to DLC
Nothing like another honest content video. Truthful content even
Seeing the thumbnail, Pikachu never came off as "Rushdown" as much as "good All-Rounder who excels regardless of system changes or nerfs, *_frustratingly_* annoyingly so at times" and he's always had one or more edges in every game:
+ good-to-great framedata cross the board (run speed to jab to normals & aerials)
+ Thunder Shock's usually a flexible tool for zoning, stage control or flinch for a combo starter
+ Skull Bash & Quick Attack are both great recovery tools (don't go quite as far as Green Missile or Robo-Burner, but still more than enough)
+ Thunderbolt's always come out pretty early for its damage or kickback potential, how much real estate it commands, it's a lot
+ not to mention the fact he's always pushed by TPCI as a mascot for the highest-grossing franchise *_on the planet_* might play some role in why Pikachu's always a high-tier, but I wouldn't be shocked if that's the case among TPCI's other bugbears, but I digress
Side-Bar: whatever the next game is, I hope that enables the Smash team to experiment with less "safe" picks
+ keep Pikachu & Puff as Original 12 members, sure, but dive down for weird picks vs all the humans & other bipeds
+ different picks for Starters, more of the 18 types & less double-dipping, weirder body types, really go crazy like they did with Plant if they have ideas!
I would say on Pika it depends on the version of the character. Ultimate Pika feels more aggressive compared to the rest. I understand what HC was saying about Pika being "poor man fox" in melee, they were kinda similar archtype wise, but fox for sure has less trouble in certain matchups compared to pika (like pika vs puff is dogggg water compared to fox vs puff)
Very high quality content makes me wonder how you post so consistently
I'm half robot. LOL
10/10 video as always ❤
I know some people will like Fox the way he is in Ult more than what I got.
I wish he still had Auto Cancel Lasers and got something else taken away. I just think its cool that Fox can mix between aggressive and defensive playstyles.
They sure rushdown the heat of the matches!!
Now to talk about Zoners, before they get to the point where they’re the most disliked they’ve ever been in Ultimate because they actually have close-up moves *on top* of their defining projectiles
I would say their are multiple types of zoners from spacers, who are trying to space with a disjoint to mid screen zoners who can't fully zone but can keep you out most of the time(Lucas) then full on zoners like Samus or the Belmonts
There's also just no built-in counter to the really good projectiles. Reflectors are more likely to put you in a bad position than the other way around.
u deserve more subs
Surprise you didn't talk about mii brawler who's also a rushdown character.
Good video! Do you think you could do the Pitfalls of Wii Fit Trainer? Thanks!
Pitfalls of Little Mac coming soon for sure. Maybe WFT in the future
Surprised you didn’t mention mythra that caharacter is the best example of a true rush down character in ultimate
anybody know the name of that last song that plays?
"sans" from undertale
@@GoldenTokenZone THANK YOU! I've heard that song on so many videos now and i swore someone else said it was from undertale but I couldn't ever find it when scouring the ost.
