Ballast Tank Construction||Composite Component

- In this weeks video we go over and show how we used composites to construct a ballast tank in our race boat. This tank is designed to fill the front most tank first and then spill over into the back tank once the front is fully filled. This design helps with weight distribution of the water in the tank. We used 5lbs core, 25lbs core, 1708 fiberglass, 16oz carbon fiber and polyester resin to complete this construction. We also utilized carbon fiber tubing we made ourselves in replace of regular fabricated fittings.

Nice design and I always enjoy watching someone who is a pro doing glass work! Keep up the good work.
what type of board is this
Any progress on the boat?
What type of putty? Bondo with fiber glass?
I'm really disappointed at how clean and meticulous y'all are!! I mean, you could easily add 10 minutes to the length of these videos doing the 'oh glorious sanding' all the other Vloggers do! ;) :)
