Hyper Racing 600 Speedweek came to an end last night at Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway. Haylee joined the field of 85 cars for the final night of racing action. The long week of racing unfortunately caught up to Sophya as she was not feeling well enough to take the track, sometimes it’s better to rest than push to hard when your body is telling you no.
Qualifying:
Haylee went 40th quick in Flight B
Heat Race:
The team was looking to make improvement from qualifying and Haylee did just that! Starting 10th and finishing 7th. A few more laps and she could’ve easily passed a few more cars!
B-Main:
Due to a different race format the winner of the b-main transferred directly to the A-main with the remainder of the top 6 going to the last chance qualifier. Haylee started 9th and finished 7th missing the transfer spot by one. However, she was fighting hard for that spot!!
So proud of the team for finishing such a long and trying week of racing. A true testament to their hard work!
