For what ever reason, the wet clutch prevents the secondary drive from engaging before the motor has had a chance to rev up. The tighter the wet spring the more RPM it will take to to get the wet clutch to engage. Good idea for big tires
Thx for the update I just got a king quad 700 going to buy a kit for the shoes so I can do this thanks again for your knowledge and time Question: what brand of shoes did you use? A link if u have one. All I find is Caltric brand

I have a 2008 750axi and wanted to know if the drive train etc. is all the same for the wet clutch? I do use larger tires for it and thought it could use something like lower gears etc. Tires are 27in. Do you think I should do the wet clutch or should I do something else. Peace, Mo
