Hello Robyn, I plan to bake this for my son's birthday. Can you also please share the recipe for the base funfetti cake? I cannot seem to find one anywhere that would fit a 13*9 inch pan. Thank you sharing this wonderful tutorial
Thank you Theresa! I actually hated this truck as I was first putting the fondant on, I thought it was gonna look funny but every piece I added I fell more and more in love with it. It was definitely one of my favourites as of late and was extremely fun to put together! I just kinda winged it and it worked out! I get lucky like that sometimes 😆
Ready to hit the store for everything I need to make this for my grandsons 3 birthday party tomorrow! First time making a truck for this grandma! But know I can do it. Anything for the grandkids!!
😄 That's awesome! You got this grandma! With that attitude I know your gonna do an amazing job! What a lucky boy!🥰 If you need any help I'm just a message away!

@@jayshreepillay6563 you don’t have to no. Modelling chocolate is another great and tasty option but is a little more expensive and slightly more difficult to work with as it is more temperature sensitive.
Found this amazing recipe which I’m going to try for my sons 3rd birthday 😻 May I ask what kind of cake you used? Is it a “sponge” cake? Can I find this recipe somewhere on your page? And the fondant too? Thank you 😊

how do you get the tire fondant to be such a dark black or does the icing dye display a lot darker in fondant. I use Wilton icing dye for icing on cakes and it never gets very dark no matter how much dye you put in it. And when you have the layers of fondant do you need to wet it a bit to get it to stick to the layer beneath?
Lovely cake ♥ I want to make one for my baby. I'm from Brazil, Ashley we don't use butter cream on the cake. Do you have the recipe from this cream? I would like to make here. Thanks for sharing your cake.
Thank you!! It was created from a 1/4 sheet cake (9”x13”x 2” cake pan) which typically serves about 24. So after trimming and sculpting 15-20 servings sounds about right to me.
I’m sorry, the tip I used doesn’t have a number on it🤔 peculiar. And it came in a random set of mixed tips. I just found something similar and linked that in the description because a lot of them looked suitable for this application as well.
I used a small measuring cup greased with shortening to shape them, then I covered them with fondant and used a Russian piping tip to make the pattern for the center of the wheel.
I used one, 9”x 13”x 2” cake layer. First I cut it straight down the middle to make two, 4.5” x 13” cake layers, then I a tacked those with some buttercream filling. Next I just eyeballed it and cut the portion off the back where the truck bed would be and used that chunk that I had just cut off to form the front of the truck.
Thank you so much for the demo. It immensely helped me create a beautiful dumptruck for my 3 year old

Is the cake pan a 9×13 8nch pan?
What are you putting on the tires (white) before putting on the black fondant?
Just a little buttercream to make it stick🥰

Hi. Can you tell me the size of your baking pan? Inches or cm. Thanks
I used a 9”x13” cake pan to bake up two double batch layers so they would be nice and thick.
Can we use marshmallow fondant for this?
I don’t see why not!🤷🏻♀️
It’ll taste better too! ☺️
