the Accidental! In music theory this special note we hear is a note that is not in the key, technically the "wrong note" is being played but its called an accidental. So where there is usually a D natural being played, right there is a D flat just in that one spot and it makes it amazing somehow.
I LOVE your edits/extensions of these themes, dude, BRAVO (even made me tear up once)!! Out of curiosity, have you listened to tracks 19 (Nightsong) and 20 (The Power - Choral version)? So, here's my request: extend those 2 back to back for 30 mins. It would be glorious. Thanks for all the work you do! :)
It's about some couple who were once together but some of them decided to leave because other changed badly. Then this person who left other person trying to make the person who was left to love again and to repair their relationship. Tower means something they built in their relationship metaphorically and it's in danger to crumble forever if love is gonne. Yes it could be about friendship or lovelife with companion, if you donne evil stuff companion will leave you but it can also forgive you.
Do you have the unexpanded version? The song was updated for the full release and this is the only copy I can find of the EA edit as Mr. Slavov privated his original video and I'd like to compare both versions to see how the song evolved over time
Sry this was made over 1 year ago and I already deleted the file. The unedited ending part of the song start at 32:10, you should be able to recover the whole song by some simple edits.
This is truly the end of a memorable adventure. I had my gripes with Tactician but I beat it without a guide and felt accomplished when I climbed the powercreep ramp at level cap and slayed two dragons. One undead wyrm and the one atop the netherbrain. Helped that it was my third playthrough and I was trying something new. There's so many different ways to play the combat section of the game and it rewards you greatly for creative thinking in that context, but act 2 and 3 are really not as good as act 1 when it comes to literally everything else besides combat, or even avoiding it completely. I have no intention of doing the now added "Honour mode" playthrough since Tactician was hard enough. The dialogue choice parts of the game are ruined by 25-30 checks that do nothing but encourage savescumming (reloading a prior save until you win) more than any game I have ever played and even some scripted 99 checks that auto fail even if you roll a natural 20. So I can't remember anything the characters said because of the constant dice rolling when KOTOR 2 did this better with simple character stat checks over 20 years ago that were way more fair and didn't waste people's time. Larian took the D&D mechanics a bit too seriously for a video game adaptation. I can still remember a few quotes from most characters in the KOTOR games while I can't remember anything that the entire cast said because "OOOPS YOU ROLLED A 1-10, time to reload the save again, you're softlocked forever out of the rest of this conversation/questline!" OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER. Its fine IRL with friends playing tabletop D&D, a video game is not the place for this BS that any remotely decent GM would mitigate the story around with alternatives somehow. If you are anything short of a lawful good character or a complete psychopath/Chaotic Evil character, you are going to notice that the overall content is sparse outside of a dev intended path and most of it is still somewhat bugged and won't trigger properly because of remnants of tons of cut content that is still in the 100+ GB install size. Hopefully they will patch in the upper city for act 3 and raise the level cap back up to 20 from the nerf to level 12 since they did go back and add the epilogue cutscenes that were not there at 1.0 release when i beat the game the first 2 times. Its a genuinely fun game and the writing is nowhere near KOTOR 2 levels of Western RPG dialogue but its fun in its own right and mostly respectful of the source material. A rarity these days for sure. Multiplayer is still broken 5 years later so don't bother trying to play this with friends. Its playable for the combat sections but open world exploration, but there's no shared dialogue for multiple players like SWTOR did via flashpoints back in 2011 and no "follow player" or "teleport to player" function for people who get lost easily. Not even Diablo IV fucked up that badly and it has town portals so you can just go right to where your friend is. For some reason fully modeled nudity in a game with no explicit sex scenes was a priority over this.
Maybe I am reading too much into this, but if you are implying game soundtracks are generally of lesser quality than the ones from movies, you have been playing the wrong games :)
This shitty Nightwishy excuse of a score for a game calling itself "Baldur's Gate" makes me physically sick. There was so much potential in using michael Hoenig's original thematic material or coming up with something original truely great, but they blew it all... This music sounds like it was done by an autodidact. Will never play it because of its music. Thanks for saving me my life time, Larian.
Its the humming that gets me everytime.
That certain chord progression gets me every single time.. you know the one
Yup 💯 my favorite part

This album is amazing, I can't wait for it to drop. It's awesome that they're releasing a game along with it.
This game hit every single mark. Graphics.. music.. characters.. choices.. combat. What a gem! I find this track particularly inspiring.

A process known as turning off the music for immersion sake?.. I assure you, IT IS TO BE AVOIDED.
Me gusta en instrumental, con voz, en coro.. que maravilla de musica y de juego

For some reason it reminds me Divinity original sin 1 main menu theme at 0:34
