Stayed at the Hard Rock back in 2021 great hotel. Resort is quiet the Indian across the road from the hotel is fantastic the best ever Indian restaurant I've ate at
Went to Bahia Principe over 15 times and always went for a walk up the Main Street. It has certainly come on since Hard Rock opened. Not been there for a about 5 years.
Bloomin heck . I stayed here probably 35 years ago. It inly had about 3 hotels and nothing else. There was a lido at the bottom of the hill but no beach. Lots of work was going on and its totally different now. Wow
I lived in Paraiso for a few years back in the early 90s, mainly in Paraiso del Sur, and yeh, there were just the 4 towers back then. Plus 2 pubs and a few places to eat.......but you know what? I'd rather be based there in Beirut as we called it, than in the toilet of Las Americas. It's the first time I've seen it since 1995 so I feel a bit emotional to see my old home again to be honest
Stayed in one of those tower blocks in early 90s. Nothing there then apart the 2 buildings, a karaoke bar , some volcanic rocks and the sea!! Absolutely nothing to do. We walked along the rd to nearby Callao Savaji, superb views then. Nothing much at Callao Savaji then but it was nicer than Paraiso. Have you been to Costa del Silencio yet Kev? Its a bit of a one horse town lol but interesting. Ten Bel first resort early 60s now a shadow of its former self
It is only possible over a cliff ‘walkway’. It takes over an hour and is pretty rough terrain. Not for the faint hearted but views are amazing as you pass all the bays where the Katamarans go for trips.
