    This was great video! I’m in my first 6months and heater at home went out and this was the exact case! You’re well spoken and I will definitely continue using your expertise!

    You explained the entire process like a Professor. In the future, adding a wiring diagram with this video would be $$$ TY for your time.

    Finally ,someone explaining the process correctly. Good job sir. Many think it so called Magic, but it's easy when you know what your meter is telling you.. Not sure if you mentioned it, but contacts should close from bottom to top. Not sure if you had that happen. Again great job.

    Your videos are awesome. This is my first winter in the trade and this video got me through a few service calls this week. We don’t get too many heater calls down here in south Florida

      @@TaddyDigest I will share your channel far and wide. I was able to change the sequencer out factory Nordyne. The part that was in there had some wires to other poles not used. I was wondering what caused the awful smell the sequencer?
      Have a wonderful evening. Peace

    Gotta love mobile home AHU’s. It’s really fun when they overflow the drain pan and burn up all the wiring in their cabinet and you have to wire it back without being able to see where anything went. That’s how I learned electrical the hard way

      Had one yesterday that was exactly what you describe. Nearly every wire burned up. Sequencer burned as well as fan relay and transformer. The limits were also bad. It’s so much fun to do this all while lying on the floor.

    Thank you for the helpful videos. I've run into an issue with my electric furnace that happens atleast once ever couple of days: The thermostat will call for heat, but the furnace never comes on. While testing, the only way i've gotten it to work again is jumping the fan wires (R & G) for a second or two. 5 seconds after I do that, the furnace will kick on again and go off at the specified temperature. Do you know what could be causing this and how to troubleshoot? Last time this happened, jumping R and W did not work.

    @TaddyDigest - Your videos are great stuff. I had a neighbor who was a HVAC tech.Learned some from him. When he move away, he came, or talked me thru things over the phone. He's since passed away. Now your videos got me thru diagnosing a bad (Zettler) Sequencer.
    Have you experienced a Sequencer, brand new , (in my case Packard HS24A34-4) that right of the box was slow to switch on, later than 30 - 90 in the first few cycles?... like it needed a 'break-in' period?....?
    When a (ancient) limit-switch goes bad, does it go entirely bad, cutting power to both heater elements? ... OR ... go 'half-bad' where it cuts power to one heating element but not the other?....
    I've got a cheapo analog meter, i'm going out now to check the levels now that you showed me how....

    Thank you for using terms us beginners can understand. Sequencers are deff not common around my area so when I do see them it can be confusing but knowing the concept makes it much easier. Do you have an intro video of how you started in this business and how long if you don’t mind us wondering?seems like you’ve done it all and still in your prime

    I’m still a little confused on how it works last winter I was having heat problems at my house we have a furnace that’s a 96 model and our heat is only warm not really hot but there is a new sequencer that I put in I’m trying to get into this lie of work I’m only 23 and I won’t to learn about this stuff any suggestions?

      So when I get off work I need to go home and check this out which idk why it wouldn’t be working I have new heat strips and a new sequencer so idk what the problem would be unless it’s not getting the 24v from the thermostat.

    • @tylercarter9675
      @tylercarter9675 ปีที่แล้ว

      But before all this when I’m heat mode the furnace would cut on and off randomly ended up changing the transformer and that fixed that issue then noticed whenever the power was on and it was in heat mode the strips would come on and not shut off don’t know if that had todo either transformer or what but everything works fine just the heat isn’t really that hot
