sure that's sth i'm actually in the midst of. HIMS is one of 2-3 different positions i'm looking to add more too in 2025. Spend majority of spare cash last 2 years on SOFI and a bit on Palantir lol. That's a great idea. I was initially looking at 29th Jan but its Chinese New Year and I'm not sure whats my family's plan like and whether I can get away otherwise will start in Feb.

Your spot on with most things, but way off on a few. The loan platform business is simply SoFi referring everyone they turn down. Borrowers apply through the app and the ones that are turned down. Now can be picked up by our partners. 0 chance it's cannibalistic.

Its definitely not cannibalistic to loan originations as you've rightly pointed out. thanks for clarifying!

I’m new to investing and chanced on your channel due to having the majority of my position in SoFi and have been trying to find out why its price has struggled to bounce back to +£16 after the Fed Rate cut news. A lot of the other companies I watch bounced back almost overnight but not Sofi which seems to have got stuck around 15.80. Would you have any idea why this is? As for live stream ideas, selfishly I’d love a beginners guide, but now I’ve liked and subscribed I’ll watch anything you do and try my best to follow along and learn. 👍🏻
Hey thanks for the support. happy to do a beginner's guide in future. As for the stock price. it depends where you got in. my average is in the $8 range cos i've held it for the last 2 years. It has ran up a lot and stocks tend to consolidate after a big move. and these areas will become support in future. so wouldn't be too worried about it being stuck at this range. If they come in with strong guidance in Q4 this year it could climb further but we'll have to see how the market interpret their data :)
With a live stream,how new user count pans out with product uptake,are new users up taking more of the product line up,or do they take time to expand their usage?
depending on your time horizon honestly. I didn't expect Nu to fall back to these levels. I'm more in tune with the US and Singapore economy. So I am still looking into the reason behind Nu's drop. From what I see, it doesn't affect their business fundamentally. Just unsure about recovery timeline, but as a business they are fantastic and I do hold some, just not as much as SOFI.
Even there is a recession, it can at best slow the momentum of SoFi, going down to single digit is silly talk. Whoever says going to $8, obviously has no understanding on SoFi and spread fud. These are people wont admit their wrong prediction.
