Thanks for the video! I'm "attempting" to look for VAM's on my lot.. some of them are so minuscule my old eyes can't make out even under a digital scope..enjoyable nonetheless. I would of course rather have none cleaned coins but if it is and doesn't have scratches etc..or appear polished..I dont care, doesn't matter. It's become damn near impossible to buy any that are guaranteed un-cleaned anymore.
The Morgan you want the 111 on... I'd be hesitant to send that in because of the mark behind the head... to me it kind of looks like a D and ANACS might call the graffiti!
Oof. Good call…. But IF that is a 111 and they don’t label that graffiti…. That’s worth a lot. Unfortunately because I can make out the die markers…. I kinda doubt it is…. Not sure what it is tbh, it doesn’t match up 100% with any of the listings. Could be non variety or a new variety 🤷🏼♂️
great coins
Thanks. I’ve fallen behind on this “series” but I’ll get some more out soon. Work has been overwhelming all summer.
I agree with your misgivings about PCGS. things have certainly changed there. Not for the better

It does seem to be a challenge. I’m only looking for the top varieties at this point. That still took me a couple months going through 1400 Morgan’s.
Spring for a 2K microscope upgrade, Clarity is much improved over the earlier models. They're reasonably priced, mine was around $130 off Amazon
No 8 tail feather 1878?
Not on this one. Had one already but it’s the only one I ever came across.
@rockysramblings
Did you sell it?
How much more valuable are the 8 tail feather variety 1878 Morgans?
@@DUNPEAL01 Nope. Its PCGS Certificate # 45924080. Hard to say value wise. Mine is only a VF35

In F12 it’s over $3,000
If it’s a 111. Unfortunately I dont think I’m that lucky

The 1878 s vam 111 you'r.. the s mint mark on yours I little to low
.. so it's not vam 111..
I got this back from ANACS and it was not VAM 111. That one was a long shot for me. It was more of a “worth a try” since the VAM 111 is worth a lot.
