Present Mumbai airport is old and ailing. Overhauling will start next year while another is being built in Navi Mumbai.
This airport was built recently about 10-12 years back. The one you are referring to is Terminal 1A at Vile Parle, about 5kms away from this one (only for domestic flights)
The one you're talking about getting overhaul is the CSIA terminal 1, terminal 2 ( in this video) is relatively new
