Hello Another Nick, I saw this movie over the weekend with my mother & we both loved it! The storyline was great, the performances top notch, the CGI & visuals were amazing. The characters were engaging. Raka & Proximus Ceasar were standouts as well as Noa. Loved all the callbacks & Easter Eggs connected to the previous "Apes" films. In my opinion, it is one of the best films of the year as well as the best of the modern "Apes" movies. It deserves an Oscar. As for the people who haven't seen "Kingdom" yet, see this movie on the biggest screen possible. You won't regret it. I look forward to the next five "Apes" films. I hope you are too.
Great review Nick!!! I just discovered your channel thru this video, but you gained one new subscriber as a result 😊. Like you, I LOVED the original trilogy and was excited when Kingdom was announced. As a movie I thought it had some pacing and world-building issues, but overall I still loved it and the direction they are taking the franchise. As for my favorite species of Ape, I’d have to say Orangutan as well. Keep up the great work!!!
I really don't understand how ppl find this movie mid. As a huge fan of the PotA trilogy, I'm completely happy with Kingdom. It does justice to the previous films and it can be so seen it was made with heart. And what a terrifying amazing villain Proximus is. Just give the following sequels to Wes. No problem with it.
The movie was good. The only thing i dont like about it is that its not the same without ceaser, and that noa didnt save the gorilla, and the hair model for the girl ape.
for the gorilla, i think it makes sense for him killing his father. for soonya’s hair, i believe she’s a bonobo due to the middle part, which is kinda weird looking but not unrealistic
I saw the movie on the Saturday night before Mother's day with my mom and we both thought the movie was amazing. The only throwbacks is that my recliner was broken and Proximus Caesar didn't have enough screen time.
SPOILER WARNING: I felt that a lot of the characters were underdeveloped. Raka's death was framed like a fake out but he just was legit dead. Proximus Caesar had like one scene? That human who was helping the apes got murked without ever really doing much. Overall the writing was a bit off for me. Movie was two and a half hours yet didn't really seem to have a story to tell the way the first three did.
Im sorry this movie was mid af. Keep wes away from the franchise. EDIT: Im not being sarcastic. There were higlights for sure, but overall it was underwhelming. Dont even get me started on the the actress for Mae/May whose accent kept going in and out between British and what I think was supposed to be an American accent. Noah/Noa was alright. Highlight was Proximus. He was awesome. CGI is great. Everything else was okay or mediocre
What is your favorite species of ape? Mine is Orangutan.
Bigfoot or gigantopithicas
Definitely chimpanzee in the Planet of the Apes movies.
@@Bigfoot0saurusBigfoot isn't real though
Raka was such a pleasure to be around.
He really was. I’m gonna miss him.
Fr, I wish he didn’t get killed off so soon
I honestly just have to say...
*WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY!*
“WONDERFUL DAY!”

Absolutely. A 9 film ape saga sounds fantastic!
It's actually set at least 300 years after War for the Planet of the Apes, not just "a couple decades".
Yup
W vid
You made me change my mind about these movies
W comment. thank you

I can see it being like Dawn of the Planet of the Apes where it just gets better and better and more and more loved over the years.

I don’t think there was much Noa could do for the gorilla. And, the gorilla would probably never stop trying to kill Noa, so I think it makes sense.

In the movie, it said many generations later when we went straight to Noa's timeline. It takes place 300 years later
it is really a banger
Gibbons
This made me laugh and want to watch the movie!
Thant's awesome! You should absolutely watch the movie.
Are you implying fall guy was a flop????

I disliked this movie for reasons that I don’t seem to see other people mentioning.
Means it’s just your opinion
I’m curious. What did you dislike about it?
@AnotherNickMovies too quick on going from point a to b needs to slow a little down
Mandrill
Mandrills are pretty sweet

Bait used to be believable
What a wonderful day!I see the movie as decent does have its flaws
The first movie of the reboot had this problem because it was set up for the sequels
