I may be being abusive, but for me, Genesis are my favorite band of all time. That's why it's good to know that there is someone on Planet Earth 1.0 who values the work left by Genesis. Everyone did very well, so I wish the best success for the group.
Wonderful! What struck me (being a drummer) is how well the snare drum is tuned! Oh boy! And the way the drummer plays it gives the sound a Bill Bruford edge. Damn! I love it! Now speed up a fraction and it's perfect. Many thanks guys!
Awesome❤. This song ( and The Lamia of Lamb lies álbum) is my favorite of Genesis. Just an observation: the songwrites are Gabriel- Hackett- Banks- Rutheford- Collins, not only Banks- Rutheford- Collins. In the credits this video it is incomplete.
Yes. Most sources (eg. Wikipedia, a printed score...). list the whole band as songwriters. Quite a common practice for bands in those days, to get equal shares of the copyright fees to all the bandmembers. Some sources suggest otherwise. The end credits cannot be changed, but modifying the description is easy. We'll check this.
With proper transport dolly and enough helping hands, it's never been a problem. On a good surface, only one person is needed, but on stairs and when loading into a car, 3 people are needed. on very steep and narrow stairs, you need 4 people to carry the Hammond. Mini-moog is problematic if the weather is too cool tuning is not very stable. then.
@@afterglow_band I play in cover bands (not Genesis, sadly) and I use a full software solution. Two midi controllers and one MacBookPro. GigPerformer and dozens of VSTs
No 12 strings guitars ??? 😅 we’ll give you a pass just because you guys did such a great job. Not an easy one to play, but seriously, you guys need to step up that pace 😅or Tony will come and bark. Thanks again guys. More like this please.
Sometimes we have a guitar player with a 12 string guitar. Not this time. so the alternative to have about similar sound, we used guitars + piano playing the intro.
@@Roman49837 Thanks. In the mix, I took the guitars in the front, the piano is kind of hidden in the background, but if it's not there, the chorusing sound is not the same.
great performance of a great masterpiece, but it loose its magic when you play it at daylight, it should be much better on a dark environment theater which help you travel with the music... just my opinion.. but great performance
It just happened to be on the setlist, cameras rolling (and some cellphones recording the performance, too). It was a good version, so why not publish it? We cannot control the natural light, in the summer the sun doesn't go down here....
My favourite Genesis song, performed faithfully and beautifully. Thanks
Thank you guys
Other tempo, but the right spirit!!! Felicitaciones! Hay que mantener vivos estos clásicos!
One of my favorites Genesis Song, Great Performance
Absolutely brilliant. Thank you guys!
Thanks ❤
yeah man...a charming version..👍
Excellent! Your scenic backdrop looks a little bit like a picture of the layout of the centre of Dublin City….
That backdrop was painted on the wall a few years ago, I thinki it was made for a theatre performance.
It's not easy playing one of the best rock tunes
Awesome guys awesome
Thanks!
Superb thanks for keeping Genesis alive
Would have loved to be there. What a nice atmosphere and what a beautiful weather!!
For some reason the weather is always good when we play 😅
10/10!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you, we do our best though it is hard, and always from original pitch😅. I can say that after 21 years being the singer.
Spot on!!
That's a Bruford sounding snare if I've ever heard one! Great job!
Wonderful interpretation ! Bravo à vous Tous !
Merci :)
Splendid!
Superschön
Vielen Danke 😊
That opening riff always sets my soul to "inspired"
Great. Thanks for doing that. Great pace on thd end perfect time.❤
Thank you ❤

Was spot on, the feel
Awesome performance 👍
Love you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
❤
Cosmic, well done, I loved it.
Not often you get to see / hear a genuine Hammond B3 and MiniMoog! Love that.
..and interesting to hear that solo done on a mini moog rather than an ARP pro-soloist which Tony Banks seemed to prefer. Sounds just as good to me.
Just as long as the end result is that trademark Genesis sound.
Happily I hear what I came for.
Belo trabalho. Muito obrigado pelo presente. 👏👏👏👏🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Kiitos ❤

Always enjoy Genesis covers: including this one, but thought they played it a little too slow
Yes a little slow, and I’m sorry the drumming is not up to par. I know Collins is a hard act to follow but cmon now.
❤
Lets all move to Finland. Oh but wait, looong winters and an imossible language! Well played my Scandinavian brothers.
Hah, welcome 🎉

Simple improvisation but very nice
Loppusoolo oli huippu! Saundit kyllä pro!
Kiitos.
Yhdyn mielipiteeseen!
Ouch guys... How is hard to carry a real Hammond and a minimoog on stage? My compliments for your bravery and your skills!

I got you but have you listened to the end solos? ...and this was our live interpretation of the song this time.
We are brave Nordic men 😅
After about 4 minutes in 7/8, the tempo changes into 4/4. but with kind of 8/8 feel. A nice way to cool down after a long instrumental solo section.
Matti, what is the name of your guitar? ...thanks
it's a Fender Stratocaster with Jarno Salo Pickups.
Non ci siamo!
You're doing it TOO SLOW ! Apart from that, absolutely brilliant !
:) huominen passaakin mainiosti!

12 strings with different tuning 😅 great idea from Mike Rutherford
