Great video! The local S2K Ontario Canada group uses your videos as references often. If only you guys were closer there is a lot of these cars left up here.
John, the DBW cars with the return-less fuel systems seem to run liener than most. Their valve adjustments seem to tighten faster over time more than 00-05 cars. The ECU happens to run a liener tune as well. What Billman250 recommends is inspecting those cars every 40-50k miles of normal use.
If there is one thing I am drilled with more than any other from the people I work with, it is because I over-explain things and tend to talk to everyone in a way that sounds like I am teaching. Sometimes it makes others feel stupid, but occasionally you find someone who understands and talks the way you do and next thing you know 6hrs go by on a phone call in what felt like 45 minutes. These are always the people I enjoy most in life and every close friend I have in my tiny little world is also this person. I imagine most if not all of us who watch your videos are talkers who appreciate your explanations ;)
John, I had a similar reoccurring cylinder misfire code on my 05 S2000. After going though all that we found that the alternator had a voltage drop when first starting the vehicle that caused my misfire codes. my SES light wouldn't come on right away so if the light comes back look into that.
Hey LHT quick question, have you had any S2000’s come in with a high pitched whine from the rear end ? Sounds like it’s coming from the diff. No play and no large chunks in fluid when changed recently with valvoline. Ap1 120k miles. Thank you
We have very few issues with Diffs until higher HP. I would change to Mobil 1 90-140W and see how it sounds. If no change , Contact Ben from Puddy Mod racing.
I have a lean code I can’t figure out. It seems to be intermittent because some days I’ll feel the car at idle more “stumbly” then others. I did get the car tuned and so far no CEL. I do notice it’s still stumbles. Compression and leak down is good. Is it possible it could be a sign of beginning stages of a possible burnt valve? I’ve replaced almost entire fuel system and looked for vacuum leaks and still can’t seem to figure out.
Hi my vsc and abs lights Don't go off,I just changed to a used one..due to my aftermarket upper camber snapped in half ,I took it off because it was stretching the abs sensor when I installed it back my abs vsc lights do not go off,I even change to a used oem one help?
Hey LHT, are you familiar with Ap2 07 28k miles first > 2nd gear clunk when cold? Not grind, but clunk. Clutch fluid clean, cmc, Honda transmission fluid
Excellent work as always John, George and Esther.

Your explanation of 6 on the phone is so me. One of the reasons I’m not on them. True passionate folks totally get it.
You’re the man!
excited for mine soon
Henry. Got it.

What's up lht ? Nice artwork
What type of cleaner do you use during the flush?
John, did you end up doing a valve job on that motor? Do you keep rebuilt heads on hand for exchange? Did you see Man U vs. AC Milan? ;)
It’s scheduled to come back. We don’t stock them. But can build one a head of time
“Excuse the crudeness of the drawing, it is not to scale”
BTTF reference?

@@LHTPerformance thank you for the quick feedback
So once the valve seats are burned are you just SOL? Does this affect AP2 too?

I would perform a valve adjustment. S2000s are very sensitive to this and it can make a big difference. Worn valve guides too,
@@LHTPerformance I’ve had 3 valve adjustments and nothing. Hmm maybe I should replace my valve guides

I would have someone plug into the ABS system and check it’s reading all the sensors. The abs issues will also kick a VSA code too
Anyone across the pond you guys would recommend, I'm in the north east of England? Thanks
I don’t, sorry. I left the Uk in 93.
@@LHTPerformance np, thanks for the response much appreciated
We need more old hondas around here man........ef?
can burnt valves also cause oil burn in F20c's?
Maybe. We’ve seen burn valves caused by worn guides, worn guilds will burn oil

After a couple of shifts, 2nd gear smoothens out
I have similar issue with mine... ‘07 w/22k miles. It’s combination of a clunk and very slight crunch on mine sometimes.
I’ve used amsoil transmission fluid with good results in my si.
@@JBaek24 Try the Royal Purple trick I talked about on a past video. Makes a world of difference.
@@JBaek24 same here crunch
Hi john
*Cough * SOS SC S2K soon please *cough*
You own right. Lol.
@@LHTPerformance Yes. Doesn't mean I can't learn tricks to make mine better. Duh. Also need a new video on return fuel system *cough* * cough*. 😀😂
Did Georgy die his hair ? Lol
