One correction: at the hospital, I was able to hold her on my own once someone brought her to me (but for a limited amount of time because of the pain I was in). Once we realized she wasn't latching properly is when Jeremy had to hold her to me both in the hospital and at home.

Thank you to everyone who leaves a comment with resources for VBACs! I really appreciate it.
I went back and forth about whether or not to share the birth story but what helped me the most was hearing other people's experiences (especially on youtube). So I'm hoping this will help someone else process what they went through and to realize they are not alone.
Thanks again for watching!
I never realized how intense an emergency c section could be. You did great and i'm so glad all went well. No matter how a baby arrives it is always so amazing. Congratulations to you , Jeremy and Rosie... Such a beautiful family the three of you make 🧡💛💗
thank you mama❤️
Hey Trista! First congratulations to you and Jeremey for your precious, beautiful girl. That is quite a birth story, and I can imagine how intense this must have played out for you. I am so happy everything worked out, and little Rosie is safe and healthy! As time goes by, your life will be filled with such great memories, and the labor part will be a distant memory. Do not be so hard on yourself for not delivering vaginally. Even those deliveries are quite hard and scary for some women. You are strong and now have your own birthing experience to share with others! One thing is for sure, no matter how much we prepare for our first time giving life, it is most often not how we expected it to be! 😊 I am excited to meet this little one. When you are ready let me know and I shall come for a visit! ❤ Auntie Rosie
Thank you for the kind words auntie Rosie! We're so happy she's here and healthy🤍
So proud of you, brave mama❤️ I had the similar experience except I was able to dilate with my induction after putting medications back to back for 69 hours. I was able to deliver vaginally with the help of a vacuum. Everybodys body is different, everybody has a scary/painful story to share, end of the day you got to hold your beautiful baby in your arms❤ Take good care of yourself😊Congrats🫶🏼
thank you for sharing❤️
