It feels so weird to travel without our RV, but I don’t think we would all fit so we have to rent a cabin every once in a while. Hoping the grown kids will get RVs of their own😂. Do you vacation without your RV? Oh and did you see the the hidden turtle? Now we have the check for it every year!

That cabin was great looked really nice and in such a quiet and peaceful area. Those two hikes were perfect they werent too longmor strenuous but looked really cool. Oh my gosh our little minnie went crazy at the big screen when she heard red she was barking and barking at the big screen and she went up close to our screen talking to him she could tell he was stressed it was so funny! Looks like you and the kiddos all had a great time! Nice touch with the Magnet!!
If you make it to Ohio someday you won’t want to miss out on that area. I’ve been renting a cabin there every year for the last 9. This year i suggested to change it up and rent a beach house instead and the kids looked at me like I was crazy and went on and on about how it was a tradition! So I guess we will be going next year too 🤣

We stayed at the KOA in Mackinaw City when we went to see Mackinaw Is. It was cheaper than some of the other campgrounds in the area. The shuttle came to the office to take you to the ferries and brought you back at the end of the day or when ever you came back if you stayed on the island overnight. It was quiet and nice campground.
All the ones we have stayed in have been nice, but pricey. I would feel better about paying the high price if I was using the amenities but we rarely do. We have 4 different ones booked for this year. Sometimes you can’t beat the location.
We were blessed to have kids with us. The hiking is pretty amazing. There are many trails. We only went on two on this trip. Thanks for watching! - Mike and Shelley
Looks like a fun trip! We were there a few years ago with the pups. We stayed at Red Fox Retreat (same company as your cabin). We chose it bc if the wrap around porch (we didn't have to worry about the dogs wandering off the porch) & the outdoor covered fireplace area. It was a great weekend, but the parks were CROWDED!
Yeah we go once a year but we try to go during the week because the weekends are so crowded. Some of the other trails aren’t as crowded.
