But rather than heads on their hands I can see them being shoulder mounts and they have normal hands in which they carry the massive sword from victory and the cannon from Zeed in the other hand but as a more... Bazooka kinda feel
Well, it's only logical explanation why there are so many Greymons. It's because there are so many Agumons. (It's lame, I know) I can't wait for purity/sincerity and light evolution ranks, because Karn's rage against some digimon will explode. 😂

I don't know why but I've never had the same sort of nostalgic attachment to OG Greymon that I do to Garurumon. He always looked more goofy to me, which is weird because I love Tyrannomon that has basically the same proportions. I do love a lot of its relatives though. The 2010 line is probably my favorite. I feel like it and Geogreymon really should be swapped in regards to being variant vs sleek redesign though.
Woah I just had a brain blast, RizeGreymon into Blitzgreymon has such a cool evolution line flow. Also I think Ancient Greymon is probably my favorite just because of how unique it is. It really captures that feel of an ancient almost primordial dragon
Will always love the OG wargreymon. He has such a distinct profile which he shares with black wargreymon. I absolutely love victory Greymon as well. He looks like he traded his claws in for a huge sword, and who doesn't like a dino man with a huge sworld!
Especially as a kid i loved the hole story around BlackWarGreymon in the 02 Anime. It was so cool and fresh to see the antagonist "win" all the time rather then that they got beaten every time like in Pokemon. And this hole "existential crisis" thing especially combined with the digital Digimon just gets me to this day.
I think the problem with modern x Antibody designs by Asmaria like Itou mode is that the colouring makes it look super busy, even more than it would be if its uncolored or its CGI model. If they get in other games like they were in rearise I'd like them more. I dont dislike itou mode or crazy new x antibodies but for me the coolest thing about Gaioumon was that his swords became a crossbow so removing that loses a lot of coolness. I love how Rizegreymon has the GeoGreysword attached to his gun arm too. And Victory Greymon's wings looks like a butterfly wings (not sure if coincidence though). And we almost got a SkullGreymon X Antibody cause he was I the X vpet contest! It kills me that it never happened!!
Glad to see the love of Victory Greymon. As someone who only recently got back into Digimon, I love this Digimon. It takes, in my opinion, the best parts of WarGreymon and just makes them better

I've recently gotten back into Digimon and yours videos have definitely helped that- This series is extremely important to me and I remember binging the two casette's we had of the original Finnish Adventure dub as a kid. When I was watching Digimon back in the day, it was on Serbian tv and it always had this ad about this product, Pashteta and its branding...Karnex! Thus your channel hits double the nostalgia!! Keep going mate
My favorite childhood Digimon is WarGreymon too. His brave shield can block any attacks from any Digimon, dramon claws were definitely dangerous and absolutely slicing his enemies in half (take Machinedramon for example), and Terra Force (aka Gaia Force) is a huge fiery ball that does tons of damage to any Digimon that will tore a hole inside of them (take Vemon Myotismon for example).
Because I never get to bring this up, I love how VictoryGreymon (with it's horns shape, the wing shields becoming more triangular/v shaped, the V-ictory in the name) is basically the midpoint of WarGreymon and Ulforce Veedramon: almost like the two different Greymon designs that branched into their own things have recombined into one mon.
I have a weird relationship with Metalgreymon: In the classic 90s Kenji art and art with similar proportions, I think he's super cool, one of my favorite DIgimon, but the proportions the anime uses that a lot of the games and other media has for it, where the snout is made thicker and rectangular, he's given a potbelly, and he has lanky, longer legs really makes me not care for him. Gaioumon is also one of my favorite Digimon, but asides from them (and Metalgreymon X, I love the more angular cyborg elements and the energy wings) I think the greymons are just generally okay. I WISH I liked Wargreymon, claws are some of my favorite design elements, but they always seem a bit too stiff and him too humanoid: The Digimon Shodo figure boxart where he's more hunched over and his arms are angled out looks really cool.... also, I think RizeGreymon > Blitzgreymon work really well: Both are gun themed and have red armor pieces, I even have a recolor edit that makes Rize even closer.
Love these!! Do Gauru next ;) For whatever reason I've always been very underwhelmed by OG Greymon, but Metalgreymon has been my ride or die. I think Greymon would've clicked with me more if they kept the Kaiju-esque proportions he had in the Digimon Adventure OVA

Fr agree with so much on this list. I'm more of a fan of Rize greymon x(This is my first time seeing him) he is EXACTLY what I thought rize greymon should've been. The Original feels like an incomplete android compared to a cyborg dionsaur. But above all else I love that wargreymon x statement. Like bro he looks like a 12 year old made him. He is too small for all the extra stuff he has going on and even then non of it adds anything. He has so much junk I can barely see his figure anymore and even then its nothing but extra spikes and a beat up helmet. I don't get how they made metal garurumon x ( who also has enough edge to kill a man but atleast is different enough to warrant it all) then made omega edge greymon.

Karn, I just want to let you know that I'm currently working on my own digimon fanfic, and my protagonist's Agumon eventually digivolves to VictoryGreymon.
My favorite Greymon’s are RizeGreymon, RizeGreymon X, Metal Greymon alteros mode, Metal Greymon X, Wargreymon X, Shinegreymon, Gaiomon, Victorygreymon, and Blitzgreymon, wish they make a marine greymon or ice greymon to fit Snow Agumon.
You know I gotta ask but does the Red Greymon from the movie count as its own Greymon??? I know it doesn't have its own page, but design wise its kinda a mix of OG and Geogreymon, making it much more dinosaur shaped than the others muscled in the lower arms and neck but still got a gut on it, plus its got its own unique moves and does stand out when compared to OG greymon.

Risegreymon X straight looks like a Digimon version of either the Destiny Gundam or the Victory 2 Gundam with its freaking wings being energy shaped like the crest of courage!
funny thing about acient greymon and garurumon normally greymon line are more sword oriented and garurumons are more gun but the acient greymon and garurumon has it flipped with acient greymon with guns and garururmon with swords just like blitz greymon and cresgarurumon,
I would say Gaiomon itto mode is less mode and more akin to like a crimson mode for dukemon, and I always viewed him as the black version of victorygreymon with his name even meaning victory song king
I saw quite a few Greymon variants I'm not familiar with and that really cool. Definitely wish VictoryGreymon and ZeedGarurumon had an anime relevant debut and the fusion of those. But I must admit, as someone who watched Medabots on Fox Kids in my childhood, ALL THOSE MEDABOT COLLABORATION INSPIRED DIGIMON LOOKING CHARACTERS LOOK AWESOME AND I LOVED THEM. I always like to hear your rankings Karn, everyone has their own opinions on all Digimon and it's nice to hear other's likes and dislikes. Perhaps you could give a thought to ranking all the angel and demon digimon as there are quite a few that don't get a lot of attention.
This video has a lot of potential as a (admittedly smaller) series, looking at other species with somewhat bigger rosters and ranking them. Garurumon is obvious, but also Tyrannomon (I don't know if it gets covered in this one. I'm about to hit play) and others.
I would say my favorite greymon is blitzgreymon mainly cause it's basically I got range now B but my second favorite would be risegreymon I really do love that big old revolver it's got
I wanna say i feel the polar opposite about x-antibody forms I like that they look like more powerful versions of pre-existing digimon without completely changing everything about it But thats just me. Wargreymon X has become a huge favorite for me recently

I agree that the Agunimons should be here. They are the descendant of Ancientgreymon for crying out loud.
My favorite Greymon’s are RizeGreymon, RizeGreymon X, Metal Greymon alteros mode, Metal Greymon X, Wargreymon X, Shinegreymon, Gaiomon, Victorygreymon, and Blitzgreymon, wish they make a marine greymon or ice greymon to fit Snow Agumon.
You know I gotta ask but does the Red Greymon from the movie count as its own Greymon??? I know it doesn't have its own page, but design wise its kinda a mix of OG and Geogreymon, making it much more dinosaur shaped than the others muscled in the lower arms and neck but still got a gut on it, plus its got its own unique moves and does stand out when compared to OG greymon.

I like GeoGreymon's line more the OG Greymon's line. Also I consider Agunimon's line to be Greymon.
Risegreymon X straight looks like a Digimon version of either the Destiny Gundam or the Victory 2 Gundam with its freaking wings being energy shaped like the crest of courage!

I'm sure someone else pointed this out but iirc the omnimon medabot is not actually a fusion but rather a robot made from omnimons data
funny thing about acient greymon and garurumon normally greymon line are more sword oriented and garurumons are more gun but the acient greymon and garurumon has it flipped with acient greymon with guns and garururmon with swords just like blitz greymon and cresgarurumon,
I would say Gaiomon itto mode is less mode and more akin to like a crimson mode for dukemon, and I always viewed him as the black version of victorygreymon with his name even meaning victory song king
geogreymon, rizegreymon, shinegreymon all originally come from agumon S from Digimon Data Squad
I saw quite a few Greymon variants I'm not familiar with and that really cool. Definitely wish VictoryGreymon and ZeedGarurumon had an anime relevant debut and the fusion of those. But I must admit, as someone who watched Medabots on Fox Kids in my childhood, ALL THOSE MEDABOT COLLABORATION INSPIRED DIGIMON LOOKING CHARACTERS LOOK AWESOME AND I LOVED THEM.
It's the first time I see them and hear about them and OMG MetalGarurumon has a Medabot looking variant too?!! I love it!!!
Also Metabee and Rokusho are my favorite Medabots and that Omnimon looking fusion looks so cool!!! Love it!!!

Something myself and a few other players of the mobile gundam breaker game started doing was building mockups of digimon using gundam parts....my personal favorite are metalgarurumonx and blitzgreymon i built....they are truly epic

I like Blitzgreymon and Cresgarurumon, when I was drawing Blitzgreymon for my book, it took a while due to having too much detail and I had a massive pain at the back of my head from working too hard
I always like to hear your rankings Karn, everyone has their own opinions on all Digimon and it's nice to hear other's likes and dislikes. Perhaps you could give a thought to ranking all the angel and demon digimon as there are quite a few that don't get a lot of attention.

This video has a lot of potential as a (admittedly smaller) series, looking at other species with somewhat bigger rosters and ranking them. Garurumon is obvious, but also Tyrannomon (I don't know if it gets covered in this one. I'm about to hit play) and others.

I would say my favorite greymon is blitzgreymon mainly cause it's basically I got range now B but my second favorite would be risegreymon I really do love that big old revolver it's got
Oh and I would absolutely love to see a model kit for blitzgreymon like how machine dramon and wargreymon got figure rise model kits

I like that they look like more powerful versions of pre-existing digimon without completely changing everything about it
