I fucking love Giles. I remember when they first appeared on Gogglebox everyone was like " Who are these two weirdos?" 😂 now no one can imagine the show without them.
My first thought was more, oh! How boring. But I paid closer attention and was / am fascinated by the ‘English upper class idiosyncrasies’
I adore these two. They are utterly charming and so entertaining to watch
I love how they alternate between calling each other by their names and Nutty.

The number of things Giles does that set Mary off is hilarious.

I am pretty sure Giles plays up to the camera by riling Mary. He knows full well what irritates her but she is not aware that he is doing it fir the benefit of us viewers to see how bossy she is to him. She treats him like a child.

He said "Ramsbury Post Office"! I was in Ramsbury last part of December beginning of January. Went into the Post Office it's so quintessentially English! They sell great greetings cards - bought loads - laughing my head off. The lady who runs the place is so nice. They even have a WORKING PAYPHONE IN THE RED PHONE BOX - IT'S STILL IN USE AND LOVED BY THE LOCALS - IT HAD SOME CHRISTMAS LIGHTS AROUND IT! I love Ramsbury - it still retains it's essential charm from the 60's when I went as a child on holiday's there. Now live in USA - for 30 years - but Ramsbury, and Marlborough are in my heart. Love this couple too!😃

Although their house or clothing doesn't look posh, they actually are. They are very close friends with Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Giles is an Artist, and Mary is an Etiquette expert. I think they just like living an eclectic lifestyle without the trimmings.
