I went to Disney on my honeymoon and it was epic! No I’m not a Disney adult - I’d only gone once before in high school and hubs had never been. You’re treated like royalty and they know you’re on a honeymoon and there’s all kinds of surprises you get!

We have a AAA membership and they plan out trips too (dinner reservations, etc.) and all for free. Now I’m just torn between Disney and Star Wars, and Universal and Harry Potter!!!!
For those saying the OP should have said something about going to Disney, he stated in his intro, I've never really liked going to Disney and Jess knows this. So he's NOT the idiot. I've been to Disney twice and am not a fan. First time was my senior class trip. I was bored. Second time was when our kids were little. I was still bored, but hubby and the kids enjoyed it, and we did go to other places as well. Last vacation my late husband and I took was to an area I wanted to visit. We both found places we wanted to go and had a nice trip.
It wasn’t hosted by OP where is everyone getting this. It was a generic family gathering at her parents house. I get being disappointed but if nobody knew the announcement was coming in advance the sister did nothing wrong. OP strikes me as a very unreliable narrator here with how jealous they are of their sister
I like another commenter who said “ don’t announce it at a family gathering just post it on social media”. The family can wonder why you tell friends first! 🫢
Apartment story: ESH. OP is delusional and irrational. She doesn't want kids but he does. As someone also childfree by choice I'm confused why she thinks they have a future together. Unless she intends to change her stance, they aren't going to be together, happily, long term. Also, what in the heck does her opinion about him buying an apartment have to do with his parents giving him money for something he wanted? And the boyfriend is a terrible decision maker if he bought an overpriced tiny apartment knowing he wants kids in the future. Just baffling all around.
The apartment purchase is a bunch of red flags rolled into one. OP is a bit silly for thinking she should have some kind of input on whether his parents give him money, but everything else is solidly something she should consider before keeping him around. He says one thing and does another, makes decisions while ignoring the input of the person he claims he wants to spend his life with, doesn't make decisions with the long run in mind, makes her go way out of her way just to visit him, and is pretty sus on the subject of kids to top it all off. That relationship is doomed. Only question is how long it takes OP to work up the courage to get it over with.
She seems wicked controlling anyway.. Heck she even tried to control his parents! hence her being upset his parents gave him the money even though she told them not to.. like her opinion meant anything in that situation.. Its probably the reason why he started looking at apartments without her, according to her, her opinion is the only one that matters.. Which is also probably the reason why he bought an apartment instead of moving in with her.. She sounds like the seagulls from nemo... "Mine, mine, mine" 🤣
The commentors would lose their collective minds if the roles were reversed. I think the Disney husband should just make plans for where he wants to go. THEN ask his wife if she wants to go too.
stealing the thunder story... sure, by OP's description the sister is the golden children. but as someone else described, they were in a generic dinner, which OP and Pal were not hosting -- so there was no "thunder" to be stolen! it would be a completely different scenario if OP invited everybody for dinner at her place / to a restaurant which she was paying for.
I thought the same thing. If OP would've announced, cue everyone bashing OP for stealing the golden child's thunder. OP can't win for losing with this family. She should just go NC.
Nta. Dump him. He decided without talking to you to buy a place less than half the size of the one you already have. All bc he doesnt like the gym around. He can go by himself to the place and leave you to your nice place. Free to meet a sane person
Oh Story one in the comment where we need to stop blaming the affair apartment and blame the parent. The affair partner knew that he was married with a child so that comment is stupid Story 2 someone's trying to relive their childhood over and over and needs to grow up and have an adult relationship or it doesn't involve childish trips to Disney
Second to last story. Why is OP still dating him when his view on having children has changed to him wanting to kids while she’s still child free? I’d be worried he’d sabotage her birth control at some point to baby trap her. He also is refusing to compromise on anything. He is expecting her to sacrifice for him. They are no longer compatible & should break up.
Update on Disney story. OP actually communicated with his wife and found out the resort wasn't super Disney. So it was a compromise on her part. Which he found out when researching the site. They are going.
Last story.. She sounds like the seagulls from finding nemo... "Mine, mine, mine" 🤣
Disney story: I’m friends w/MANY Disney adults who are still happily married & here’s how…Disney trip every other/2yrs! And they’d go to every Disney park (international included!) before repeating UNLESS a major attraction opened. On non-Disney years, they went all over the globe. OP knew his wife was a selfish person & still married her…oh well.
Why do I always see a comment about ‘a baby shower for your third?? I don’t get it’. Where do people only have one baby shower, ever? I don’t understand that logic. I certainly didn’t keep everything from the first baby for years and years on the chance I have another.
The baby shower is meant to celebrate the baby and for the friends and family to gift the new parents things for the baby they might not have thought of. So once you've 2 or more babies you should have your own routine/style that you know what you like/don't to know what you need/want for your other babies. And you don't keep everything from your children but clothes, blankets, and some toys can be kept and passed on to the next child. So unless the child is the opposite gender of your other children it's weird to keep having baby showers.
Wait his parents giving their child money against OPs wishes. Why do you think his parents give a sht about your thoughts on how they spend their money. Just leave, you both want different things. Getting into the market is the biggest hurdle, prices just get higher. You might hate it but it's a good stepping stone. One he doesn't have to keep forever and better than average chance he is spending less on his mortgage than rent so it is a financially literate decision.
Disney Adult: I'm baffled that so many people are putting this squarely on OPs shoulders for not saying anything for 9 years when neither did his wife? Any adult with even a modicum of understanding of interacting with other humans would have the presence of mind to say "where were you thinking for vacation with year?" or "where should we go on our honeymoon?" Sure, OP needed to grow a spine sooner but the wife needs to be held accountable for her total lack of consideration for her husband.
The 3rd story, is the YTA commenter the sister or mother? It sure sounds like it. OP kept quiet long enough. Why should she have to have every moment ruined because of the princess. And a baby shower for a 3rd child? Yeah, OP may be bitter but she has reasons to be especially when her sister is the golden child who can do no wrong in mommy dearests eyes. I think it would be better for OP if she didn't invite her sister or her mother to her wedding, maybe go low or no contact with them and she just lives her best life with her soon to be husband. OP is NTA.
Disney - OP NTI. Why does it seem everyone is blaming OP ? Does the Disney princess not have the ability to read the room ? Seriously, your supposed to know someone before you marry them, and I think the princess married OP for his money and ability to make her dreams come true.
Disney fan: Going to Disney in Paris or Tokyo is a good compromise, and could be the first step towards broadened horizons. Try Moomin World in Finland, but read the books and cartoons first!
Disney story. Nta and all the commentors calling you one are the Disney adults they are talking about. It doesn't matter if he was sick of Disney in the past. He's tired of it now and has voiced it now in a positive way before she made plans on her own.
Disney story: if shes gone to the florida one...theres Universal. Like....shes the problem. I can understand going to disney multiple times. Just spice it up. *disney in Hawaii* Ugh.
He gives you no consideration for your future. He's not marriage worthy & will be too much trouble to have a relationship. Ugh. Let him make his own mistakes. Give him the ring back. He screwed your future. Bye. He made the relationship IMPOSSIBLE.
Story 3: Both OP and the sister suck. The sister for pretty obvious reasons, but also the OP for deciding to use a family dinner planned by the parents as her announcement party. If OP had told the parents that she had an announcement in advance it'd be a different story. Then for the outburst at the baby shower, I get it but it's still being an idiot.
I mean, this was a baby shower for a third child. That alone makes the sister wrong in many ways. Baby showers are to prepare the family for the new step in their life. Second baby you already have big ticket items. The only time a smaller shower (often called a sprinkle) is socially accepted is if the child is the other gender or has some form of special needs. Third child? Unless there was some major tragedy and they lost EVERYTHING so they need replacements but they lack the financial stability to do it themselves... That's just a snooty, selfish gift-grab and attention-seeking.
“Hey mom and dad, I have a special announcement I want to make at the party to the family. Can you guys give me a moment to give it at X time?” It’s really not that hard. If nobody knew you had something planned and someone else makes an announcement before you it’s not their fault nor malicious.

The Disney resort in Hawaii is a compromise, though it’d be better if she agreed to spend at least one day outside of Disney. Story 3- Another soft YTA. I can understand why OP did it but the time to stand up for herself was at the dinner.
Story 2: It does say "I'm honestly beyond sick of Disney, and I never really liked going in the first place. Jess knows this." So, he has mentioned that he didn't like going but she insists anyway.
Story 3- YTA. It was a normal family dinner. IT DOSEN'T MATTER THAT WENT 'I WANT TO SUPRISE EVERYONE'. The dinner was not about Op. PEOPLE HAVE THE ABILITY TO BE HAPPY FOR MORE THAN ONE PERSON AT THE SAME TIME.

There is a difference between being an adult who enjoys Disney and being completely obsessed. The wife is on the obsessed side, which can apply to anything someone gets obsessed with not just something you find childish.
@@patrickdix772 ya, that big of an obsession and not caring for anyone else is really childish like other places have amusement parks but it has to be that one
Being an adult obsessed or passionate about anything is fine. So long as they find partners who matches and/or embraces their specific flavour of freakishness, and they don't involve anyone who doesn't consent to their particular passion and beliefs. This can also apply to sports-fans, people who adore specific celebrities/music artists, people with chosen special diets/subcultures, militant activists and the zealously devout religious, among many others. Be whatever you want so long as you respect other people's wishes and lifestyles.

I mean OP does sound jealous but if Rachel actually stood up to announce her baby after OP was already standing she sucks.
And to an event hosted by OP. Like OP said, Rachel knew what she was doing.
It wasn’t hosted by OP where is everyone getting this. It was a generic family gathering at her parents house. I get being disappointed but if nobody knew the announcement was coming in advance the sister did nothing wrong. OP strikes me as a very unreliable narrator here with how jealous they are of their sister
@@lorilancaster5917it wasn’t hosted by op
@@corvuscorax7451 Agreed. Not sure why she feels they have something worth holding on to.

S1: Affair partner’s husband sounds PISSED, not crazy. Affair partner and father are the only crazy ones here.
Merry Christmas,XO and fellow followers!! 🎄🎁
Merry Christmas 🎁
WTF Is with those YTA comments no the Disney story
*MISANDRY!*
Either sarcasm, or they didn't read that op'swife knew he hated Disney!
How does a man dare to have feelings of his own and not just submit to his wife's obsession? lol
Merry Christmas XO! 🎄
Hijacked engagement announcement story: OP, you are NTA. Don’t invite all those people backing up your narcissist sister to the wedding.
Baby shower for the third baby?
🤫🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔YEAAAAAAA. Who has 3 showers.? Good catch
Full on greed
Stolen thunder: guarantee if OP had announced right after sister, OP would be an even bigger villain to the family.
I thought the same thing. If OP would've announced, cue everyone bashing OP for stealing the golden child's thunder. OP can't win for losing with this family. She should just go NC.
We went to Disney 9 times lets go to Hawaii!! Omg the privilege.
Disney: why would he plan a trip to ANYWHERE that has a Disney location at that point?
Nta. Dump him. He decided without talking to you to buy a place less than half the size of the one you already have. All bc he doesnt like the gym around. He can go by himself to the place and leave you to your nice place. Free to meet a sane person
The Disney one not the idiot
Disney: Dude go on your own trip. Post 1000 pics.
Oh Story one in the comment where we need to stop blaming the affair apartment and blame the parent. The affair partner knew that he was married with a child so that comment is stupid
Story 2 someone's trying to relive their childhood over and over and needs to grow up and have an adult relationship or it doesn't involve childish trips to Disney
Apartment?
Second to last story. Why is OP still dating him when his view on having children has changed to him wanting to kids while she’s still child free? I’d be worried he’d sabotage her birth control at some point to baby trap her. He also is refusing to compromise on anything. He is expecting her to sacrifice for him. They are no longer compatible & should break up.
She's a disney freak who for nine vacations never compromised, but OP is on the wrong? Alright then... That's totally normal😒
#1 story, OP would have been YTA if he prioritized a tournament than a medical emergency... But since there are mitigating circumstances, NTA.
Update on Disney story. OP actually communicated with his wife and found out the resort wasn't super Disney. So it was a compromise on her part. Which he found out when researching the site. They are going.
Last story..

Baby shower story: slip sister a couple plan B's in her drink/food.
Who has a baby shower for a third kid. Nta. Mom wouldnt be invited either. As well as the cousins. Rachel can just pop out another kid next year
What was with the cons for the Disney thing like especially the last one it's more or less sounds like all of those people were also Disney adults
Because trolls love to victim-blame the OPS
Apartment purchase: Break up with him. Yall are incompatible
Anyone else feel like this is Stephen Fry narrating?
Nah. Sounds like Rupert Everett aka Prince Charming from the Shrek franchise
*disney in Hawaii*
Ugh.
I stay at Disney resort because they are free
Do you jump the fence?
Shame you didn't marry an adult. Its called a vacation woman. Wow. How was her emotional growth stunted. You make the reservations fool.
Throw an engagement party w friends only. Publish lots of pics. Celebrate w those who care.
He gives you no consideration for your future. He's not marriage worthy & will be too much trouble to have a relationship. Ugh. Let him make his own mistakes. Give him the ring back. He screwed your future. Bye. He made the relationship IMPOSSIBLE.
My 990sqft apt is small for myself.
The baby shower nta
Aulani is a beautiful resort. I prefer Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort in SC
Story 3: Both OP and the sister suck. The sister for pretty obvious reasons, but also the OP for deciding to use a family dinner planned by the parents as her announcement party. If OP had told the parents that she had an announcement in advance it'd be a different story. Then for the outburst at the baby shower, I get it but it's still being an idiot.
it was a surprise you don't give the person who is suppose to be surprised a heads up by telling them
I mean, this was a baby shower for a third child.

@@PlasmaPony from the sounds of it, it was malicious
1: I mean YTA...how many times can you be let down Charlie Brown!?
Love how you're over looking the fact that OP is a child and blaming him for wanting a fucking relationship with his father
@classicrockkid345 a loser father who has let him down every single time!! He's Charlie Brown & he thinks Lucy (the dad) is not gonna swipe the football away as he attempts to kick it. He doesn't come to a bday, then graduation, then his wedding, then the birth of a grandchild...he has to called an AH before he learns!?
@@boybawang1981 Which part of "kid" don't you get? Until around 25 all of us have to work with an not fully developed brain. In younger years we all get a lot of things wrong. We are all influenced by society and media to love and trust our parents. Give him a break.
I agree with both sentiments honesty. The other commenter is right about him having the right to want a relationship with his dad....but, personally I think he is TA to himself cause I would have dumped him after the affair came out. But especially after he put me in danger
@stanleyphinazee5354 what about the constant abandonment!? OP says numerous times but he keeps falling for the "yeah I'll be there"!! Then disappointment, now everyone is on me for calling the kid an AH!! He is letting himself get abused by the constant abandonment from his dad for the dads new family!!
Story 1 - NTA OP’s dad is. He cheated on his wife, knowingly put his son in a dangerous situation to what? Protect the stepson?
Story 2- A soft YTA. In the 9 trips to Disney did OP ever suggest somewhere else or flat out say he wants to go somewhere else? The Disney resort in Hawaii is a compromise, though it’d be better if she agreed to spend at least one day outside of Disney.
Story 3- Another soft YTA. I can understand why OP did it but the time to stand up for herself was at the dinner.
Story 2: It does say "I'm honestly beyond sick of Disney, and I never really liked going in the first place. Jess knows this." So, he has mentioned that he didn't like going but she insists anyway.
@ Must have missed that. Thanks.
It's not about sister's baby's gender, either!
@@nancyomalley6286 that's BS. There was no spotlight to "stea;". People talk about their lives TO FAMILY, AT A FAMILY DINNER. You're very dumb logic is that the sister knew about Op's suprize, how ?. The sister read Op's mind and went " i can't let her have the spotlight" /s.
@@k70freeman Then why aren't you giving a YTA to the sister?
Oh I would have said, sorry I'm late my Fiance was buying my wedding dress, you know something yours can't afford.
Disney adults are dumb. Grow tf up.
You know what's dumb? Judging people based on their interests.
There is a difference between being an adult who enjoys Disney and being completely obsessed. The wife is on the obsessed side, which can apply to anything someone gets obsessed with not just something you find childish.
I think football adults are far worse. It is only a game you idiots! At least disney adults don't have an alcohol problem by default.
Disney. NTA. Unlike the aholes giving the YTA. So, OP has been accomodating and tolerant and, no doubt, has made comments, yet been steam accommodating and now he puts his foot down, he's the ahole? No, the ahole is the one who does things without regard to their partner's wishes. That is the wife. I can only think that the YTAs are from similarly narcissistic abusers who do exactly what the wife does and doesn't give a damn about their partners' wishes.
