HOW DID HE NOT WIN? Hot favourite crashes out with race at his mercy!

- There was a remarkable late twist to the mile race for two-year-olds on the third day of the Killarney Festival when hot favourite Green Triangle threw away victory in the final strides.
The juvenile, trained by Joseph O’Brien, was sent off at 11/10 to follow up a win at Roscommon last time out and was several lengths clear, with victory in the bag, when he suddenly decided he had other ideas with the winning post in sight.
"Astonishing" said commentator Jerry Hannon. Both horse and rider were fine. His antics opened the door for Lambourn, a newcomer trained by Joseph’s father, Aidan, to score at 6/1 under Wayne Lordan. O’Brien Sr has trained thousands of winners, but none can have been so fortunate as this one.

Paddy Power did the decent thing and gave punters who were on the favourite their money back as a free bet with no maximum. Paddy Powers, do this sort regularly when freak incidents occur when your horse is home and hosed. I've seen Paddy Powers do this many times. I backed the horse in Boylesports. They didn't follow Powers' example. They never do. They have no respect for their customers. If I'm in a town that has both companies, I know which one I'll be backing with. One of them has a reasonable level of respect. The other one treats their customers with contempt.

@AlanKelly-ff7tk I know they're all scumbags. However, Paddy Power gave punters some bit of consolation for losing on a stone walled winner, and Boylesports gave absolutely nothing, and it's not the first time I've seen Boyles behave like this. They have enough in their favour without collecting on favourites running through rails in the last 50 yards. Free bets aren't money, but it's a decent thing to give the punter back something in such freak circumstances. Powers came up with the goods, and Boylesports disappointed once again. Boylesports only show Philidelphia horses aswell when there might be 4 American meetings on in powers. Its a strategy to reduce choice and force you into backing crap. Powers let's you back 3 or 4 meetings. Powers are on a different level to Boylesports in terms of respecting customers.
I thought Paul Mulrennan had the worst ride of the day award in the bag after his effort on On a Session this afternoon. Turns out I was wrong.

Horse didn’t like being whipped well clear. Head was throwing about once he pulled the stick when well clear. Wayne tho was trying to straighten his mount.

The jockey whipped the horse too much and too strongly at right side . Obiously was not a good jockey, because it was no need to do so, as the horse had won far enough.
Too much wiping should be suspended 😮
You can never wipe too much, but you should use plenty of cleaning liquid, too

He was running around under him he was trying to keep his mind on the job they can pull up on you especially as he was all over the place you'd never think he'd go over the stands rails
How? top jockeys go natural with the horses, not like a machine. for some horses you can't whip or even shake reins due to their characters or sensitive mouths. Remember, many people still have no clue why Oefevre lost the Arc when Soumilion manipulated his reins hard on his neck and then vigorously handed in.
Had this switched race off when miles ahead and refreshed balance never got winnings checked y and was disgusted when seen replay on sporting life 😢
