There was no disco music in the 80s. Disco sputtered and died in the summer of 79 and then there were about 2 hits that fall & it was over. Not being from that time period, you wouldn't know.

I was a teenager in the late 70's and YES, I loved Disco. When I heard this song playing in another room and immediately stopped what I was doing as if I was under some type of mind control. At first I thought it was Vicki Sue Robinson's song "Turn the Beat Around" but then I realized it wasn't. The few seconds it played during the commercial instantly took me back to the fun loving happy times of the past. So, I had to find this song. Thanks Häagen-Dazs for using "Midnight Magics" song. It's got a funky disco-ish feel to it. "Beam Me Up" again. I Love It!
Same here! I was living in Mexico as a foreign exchange student in summer of 78. Many disco songs were out there before here in the states. Clubbing every night was so fun!

This song is so catchy and charming. I heard it on a Häagen-Dazs commercial and immediately went searching for it. I thought it was a Disco song I'd never heard, so I was pleasantly surprised when I realized it was modern.
I wish more bands made music like this. It has such an unforgettable, timeless beat. The singer's voice is just so magnificent and alluring. She's beautiful too.

I must say, the commercial totally hooked me with this song. I never heard it before. The production is a nostalgic journey for me back to 1978. Exactly like something you'd have heard at Studio 54. I'd love to hear it in a dance club. We need to go back! Badly.

I know I'm mad late but this is one funky bad ass song. Just heard it on the Haagen-Daz comercial. For a moment I thought it was Alicia Bridges, the old school Disco Queen that sang "I love the nightlife i got to boogie" sounds just like her, I thought maybe missed one of her records from the 80's... Usually you don’t hear “the 80s” and “disco” in the same sentence. By 1980,, disco was pretty much over. The likes of Xenon and Studio 54 soon followed.
