This is a really neat video! I wanted to tell you some other things about 64: 1. 64 has DI but it's like the SDI seen in Melee onward. 2. In 64, Fox can cancel a jump with Shine, and if you release the input before Fox touches the ground, Shine gets automatically cancelled. So you can Shine after leaving the ground and release the input before touching the ground to cancel it, making it pretty quick. By doing this, Shine becomes an onstage offensive tool and a platforming tool. You can also do multishines with this!
I ended up pre-ordering a box-style controller under the same reasoning, and I can definitely advocate for Handheld Legend. A while ago, I got a Gen 2 Pro-Con from them that didn't work on assembly, which made my heart sink. They were quick to send me a replacement after getting it checked by a vendor and sending some images.
I love watching all the videos that have sprouted up the past few months of people's runs at supernova :) Very interesting seeing people's story lines going into it, unfortunate that you got (respectfully) dumpstered on in melee though lol When you're completely unknown the bracket is basically all luck anyway, there were definitely a few people I saw playing tourney sets which you probably could have beaten but oh well, it seems like you'll be exponentially better by the time next year rolls around Also I think I might(?) have played a friendly session with you but idk, if I did, ggs, hope to see you there next year :)
Yeah Melee was really hard haha but I'm picking up the game pretty quickly all things considered. Supernova was so much fun, hopefully I can afford to go next year as well.

I've played melee for 5 years maining fox, still get 0-2 on a regular basis. If you main fox, you need to know the falco matchup, he currently is the character with the most reward to effort in the current meta game, but once you know and practice all the ways to kill him early and make him work for his combos, you shoot up in skill in melee, I'm telling you.
Fox has a case for best smash character of all time, but only cus hes in 5 games. Diddy Kong has been S tier since his introduction in brawl. I’d also say pikachu could be higher but that’s debatable
Good luck with Orcane. He got massively nerfed in the last big patch and is arguably the worst in the game. He is still really fun to play but just be prepared to grind, as an orcane main I still have faith in him so I’m curious to see how you do with him!
I've already mained him before the patch happened actually! (These videos take way too long to make). I really loved playing as him and mained him for Heat Wave which was a blast

Absolutely! I do know that SDI is a thing in 64 but I chose to not mention it for the sake of the pacing in the video.
