They used playback a lot, but the songs are good, and they could engage a crowd or camera. It doesn’t hurt they were the most comprehensively attractive band I’ve seen.
@Fadel Annaba; Which one of them? The background singers or Lynn, the girl on the keyboard? Lynn was the lead singer of that group (Ace of Base). As far as I know, she later decided not to pursue her career as a singer and asked to stay in the background and Jenny, her sister then took over the lead vocals. Later Lynn left the group for good. There must be a documentary on youtube about it. That's all I know....🤷♀️

In my opinion, the song does not reach the same quality as the previous songs, which was also part of Linn. It's very monotonous, a constantly repeating refrain without any idea or surprise. it's something like ABBA without Agnetha or Frida, it just won't be that good again ....

Orchestras makes this track and all the album Flowers so special! LIAF sounds better than any The Bridge of Happy Nation track, and it sounds much better “Whenever you’re near me” version.
The song has a very simple pattern and many repetitions - nevertheless it is very catchy and has that certain something. I've never had a close relation to Ace Of Base (too poppy and too commercial) but I've always liked this song and it evokes positive feelings - still after 25 years.
It's one of their best songs actually. This and their cover version of _Cruel Summer_ are amazing songs. Plus, contrary to a lot of their precedent songs these two sound very current and still fresh. _The Sign_ has aged as sour milk to me.
