I said, Keeping red aro in black tank shows more intense colour but for tanning the arowana, white tank is always preferred for better result

Full black or full blue is good. The combination you are telling is new to me. Black verticals with blue base. I think and feel it will work and may be it will help to enhance blue tint/hue in aro's scale. I guess.

For silver arowana width should be minimum 2.5-3 feet for plain background and for 3d background 4 feet mini.
Whereas for asian arowana width 2.5 feet minimum for plain background & fpr 3d background 3feet
