But charging smash while running with spellbinder gets him everytime. Time it after his dash and you get him 95% of the time interrupting his combo even when he extends it late game. He didn't manage to pull his specail move on me. Because I kept my distance. I think close range fighting prompts him to do it.
@@estee9290you can also interrupt his giant aoe blast and jump in the air with the wind vessel which knockbacks or hitting him with a 3 or 4 focus swing doing it. Or other ways to knockdown like the baby head. During his combo strings you can also avoid his attacks mid combo using pillar stance

Some tips for fighting Yellow Loong. 1. You can use the bell vessel from chapter 2 to knock him out of the flying state when he changes phases, but you have to use it before he does the first flying attack. Same for heavy attacks with 3 or more focus, but it's unreliable. You can also use Azure Dust to tank the entire attack chain. 2. He has three movement patterns, one for each phase. They are just extensions of the combos from phase one. Don't rely on the same punish windows. He will give you plenty of time between combo patterns to recover, but it's also realistically the only time you can hit him. 3. The Stone Monkey spell is very useful, but he will try and command grab you after you parry him, so be careful. If you can dodge the grab, he has a large punish window.
Little tip: Misty step is op for the Yellow Loong. Just doge the first AOE then use misty step and the rest of the combo hits your dummy. meanwhile u can charge up your heavy too
Yellow loong has 3 move sets. The second one triggers after the flying lightning attack and the third one (where every combo is doubled), after his health is below half. On phase 3, he is invulnerable to thrust stance's charged attacks, but pillar stance's ones can get him anyway and sometimes stun him. Bit by bit, I recommend using pillar's stance once his health gets low (it took me 4 hours to understand this lmao).
i love knowing im not the only person who does this stuff with spider bosses in games, i also have HORRIBLE aracnophobia, i look at the ground, take a step outside and just mash whenever i encounter spiders in games, i know how it be afro. Lock out man, lock out

I have my fear under control for a certain amount of time (like a meter) due to not having someone help me in certain situations where those enemies popped up in other games. What i do if i encounter it in a videogame is: 1) Make the room brighter 2) Not have my feet touch the ground 3) Abrupt the immersion deliberately in some way (have one headphone out or play a random video while dealing with the situation) Outside of the videogame however, I stay away from it as much as possible. If it ends up getting close to me, i will k*ll it

I too forced myself to use spell seal to beat him. It took like 1 and a half hours. Try the back step to instant stab in the middle of the combo.. he will just keep swinging at the end

Took me a solid day to finally beat yellow loong. What worked the best for me was the thrust stance and always using the tactical retreat move. When he starts to fly I used my cloud step and let me cook lol rinse and repeat. Also the weaver needle worked great with him too!
