This car, a 2003 Peugeot 307 2.0 HDI, came to me as a non runner...
The transponder was lost...
As no security pin present to program a new transponder, in this video I will show you how to retrieve the pin, and how to program the new transponder in order to start the engine.
In this case, to program the transponder, I will be using the Artipad I, kindly lent to me by www.diagnostic...
But, there is obviously out her tools out there that are capable of the same procedure...
IMPORTANT:
I did a mistake at the end mentioning that the remote needed to be sync etc...
The remote will no longer work, as it was paired with the missing transponder, and during the programming, that transponder was erased along with the remote.
A new and blank remote would have to be programmed.

Plz do some videos on donor units I.e. ECU, Immobilizer, BCM etc, cuz in-field that's what we mostly encounter there are no new units available for flashing, it would be really helpful to learn the trick from you😉

to get the PIN you should have some other ways :) ...but you prefer opening the ECU ... thanks for sharing , immobilizer systems are similar for each brand but all of them has pros and cons ... thanks again making this video ...
I had a little laugh when you said , aah take the EEPROM of and read it . Piece of cake . Two minutes . I have seen at least a dozen screwed up EEPROM this year . If I would have taken count over the years it would have been closer to 100 . Don't take your knowledge and skill for granted . It may look easy but Some people can't get it done . That's why I wrote that I had a little laugh . Job well done as always

Great video. I swapped the fob on my citroen c3 and chucked the old fob complete with the transponder in it into the bin, but heres the impossible thing,I used that key for a few days driving around before it wouldn’t start. ( I know, it shouldn’t start at all with no transponder) I found the spare key in a draw and that was fine, after sussing out what I’d done I tipped all the bin bags out on the patio and went through the lot till I found the old fob and the chip was still in it, swapped over and good to go. I don’t know how I was able to run the car for days with no chip. If I didn’t have to pull out the draws in the house to find the spare key I’d have just thought I got the keys mixed up. It can’t happen, but it did. 😱

But should not once the car is left off for over the latch period...

I sometimes see you charge the battery while you are diagnosing the cars with the battery connected to the car. What characteristics should the charger have in order to do it safely? Is it dangerous for any ECU? Can you turn the ignition on and off, cranck it... etc while the charger is plugged?

What a strange look the pin code has! The first time I see this ... Usually in the form of a hexadecimal. Louis, if possible, show me what the PIN code entry looks like in eeprom firmware. Very interesting :)

There is a pin code reader from the diagnostic box mate that will read the pin in a few minutes even when you have no keys programmed

My 2003 Peugeot 307sw 2CDI Ecu has broken pins. I have a spare ecu on same model of car. Will swapping the eprom from mine to the other ecu mean the ecu will work with the existing bsi and the keys? If not do I need to swap ecu, bsi and key. Thanks.
The swapping of the eeprom should do the trick...

That was a good one, my question is when you read the chip with an Xprog, does it exactly give you the the pin code in that column of chip data or you figure in a different way.

It is a little software... that i can't recall the name now...

Hello 👋 my friend. I have see a lot of your videos.I have a peugeot 307 with 2 keys. The one with fob buttons it start the engine and the second is just a key with coded chip that it mechanical unlock the doors and engine cylinder but won't start car. Is there any issue the bsi or ecu lost the second key code?
Could be that or the chip has failed on the key...
Either way would need test to establish what is happening...

I own a Peugeot 407 2.0HDI with a Delphi DCM 3.4 and recently due to a Jump Start , ECU went completely dead, with no communication to LEXIA or any other Scanners. Symptoms were no cracking and fans going off and on repeatedly. First changed BSM, relay was clicking with fans, and it was the same. So I bought used ECU, now car seems normal, it cranks, no fans spinning🙂
Now Lexia communicates ok with ECU, but says it’s locked🙄
I try to read with Kess but says protocol no supported. Should I verginize ECU? Thanks a lot for help, keep up the good work. Greetings from Portugal.
Yes... virgin the ecu and program it back to the car...
You will most likely need the pin from the car...

I have a Peugeot 607 and its high-frequency remote control is not working. I can start the car using the key, but cannot lock or unlock the car using the remote control. Already tried to reprogram the key but it didn't work. What could the problem be ? Blown IC inside the BSI ? I replaced the signal receiver inside the car too. Still doesn't work. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
What does the live data shows?

You shouldn’t glue the transponder to the key. I did that using superglue and transmitter broke 😅 Try using double sided tape

Best option is probably flash the ecu with a virgin/reset file, and then from there you can program it with PP2000 or any other capable tool...

You wont be able to use that remote now as the carbon chip and remote board are matched. The remote logic is in the carbon chip. You have to purchase as a matched pair. Usually aftermarket remotes dont work either as it's just a remote board and 7936 carbon chip without any remote logic.

There is no remote logic in Carbon chip, only in keys that use integrated chip in the board most of these can be reset and reused with the correct tools
@@geerux these are the older PSA remote systems... remote and chip are separate but are matched at the factory when made. The chip has the remote logic inside. This is why the remote will no longer work as the paired chip has been erased from the BSi memory.

Yes... there is glow plugs on this... was a 2.0 diesel...
The economy mode disables certain non essential functions on the car... like electric windows, etc...
To save battery to start the car...

@@LMAutoRepairs the original key is no longer submetting any signals and is no longer recognized nor being able to reprogram it , i got a second key reprogramed it , every thing is ok except for the ecu is locked , cranking but no start
no BSi was changed at all every thing is original , the car stopped in the middle of the road suddenly

That car was probably struggling to start because there was too much fuel in it, you normally only get cars to repair that are running on empty
