Probably my favorite Mech. At least from MW2. Just got BattleTech and looking forward to MW5. Your models are awesome, it’s funny you making the exact type vids I was looking for. Good stuff and thank you.
I prefer the catapult and madcat for missiles/long range combat personally but tend to go for the Mauler for all around combat. I do like using the vulture for AI allies in games like Mechwarrior 4 since it's pretty good for support as I start off picking off enemies at a distance and then close in since it does better then the catapult at close range while still maintaining plenty of missiles
Had (probably still have) a K'nex model of this mech when I was a kid. I wanted to get all of them. Shame K'nex doesn't make them anymore. Some of them were pretty big. They're not very well documented either, which is kinda lame.
They're the same, but Mechwarrior is the series of games where you play specifically as the mech pilots. Mechassault is the same too but more arcade-like. Aerotech covers the starfighter pilots.
BattleTech is the more lore informed version of the game where MechWarrior was based off of BattleTech usually people are used to seeing the clan mechs because they are more popular due to mechwarrior 2 storyboard.
Battletech was originally the tabletop wargame verison of the game, where you generally controlled lance-sized formations or larger. Mechwarrior was the RPG version of the game, where you played an individual character in the setting (often the titular BattleMech, pilot, the Mechwarrior), that sometimes crossed over with the wargame. As Farseer points out, as far as video games go, in general the BattleTech name was *usually* used for the games that played on a strategic level, similar to the board game, while the Mechwarrior name most usually applied to pilot-sim games, where you were in control of a single BattleMech (one notable exception being the Virtual Worlds sim pods, which were piloting sims, but still used the BattleTech name).
Hellfire, Lupus, Mad Dog MK IV , Matador, Predator, Shadow Cat II, Thresher, and Vulture MK III (the MK III was based off MW4) I found some quadvee's but didn't add them to the list. www.sarna.net/wiki/Category:60_ton_BattleMechs
Me, a casual MW5 player, spitting my coffee when man says "only" 12 double heat sinks
Welcome to the wonders of Clan technology

The advantage of this mech is that it has lots of space and tonnage, only comparable with the Madcat that is a Vulture that does not heat.
I always enjoy rewatching these readouts from time to time...
love these redesigns, very true to the original
What the world needs is a remaster of Mech 2 and it's expansions
Found your channel today. Thanks for your Mechlab about the Mad dog X)
Love the Gaussdog in MwLL....
Smoke Jaguars can handle some heat pff! Although we might be just mad from get go.
Meanwhile my Mad Dog-variation is pretty cool despite only 2x Double Heatsinks.

I remember the depression of not being able to afford them. But yeah, now that I'm an adult and I can, they are gone. I feel you bro.
0:20 What's with animations Only for Some of these ?
sick!)
Did you render and animate the vulture? How did you do it and what app? Awesome work!
fofi fernandez Yup! I used Lightwave.
So is Mechwarrior any different than Battletech or are they the same but with different names?

Do the clans have any 60 tonne mech that ISN'T the Mad Dog?
Technically the glass spider, but it's pretty much entirely forgotten about. There are more but they're mostly ugly later designs.
