I’m a knitter who dabbles in crochet. I’m glad I’ve found the crochet community because there isn’t the “ look at what I’ve got/ not acrylic (sniff)”, I’m crocheting a granny square blanket from all the leftovers from the socks I’ve knitted. It won’t end until I can’t do it anymore but every sock I’ve knit for anyone is there . Here’s to health and happiness in 24 and we all embrace where we are in our journey xx
Happy 2024. I knit and crochet there is nothing wrong with being bistitchal. I lean more to crochet than knitting. I wish we had a craft reuse store in Des Moines. Will any of those type of stores in your area ship?
I started with knitting in 1964. I taught myself to crochet in 1968 because there was nobody to teach a lefty to crochet. I do nearly as much in crochet as I knit. I use both in some projects. I spin my own yarns, and knit and crochet with them - and have sold my yarns to other crafters to knit, crochet, and weave. If you want to see a professional yarn crafter who crochet with fancy yarns, look up Lily Chin. She's awesome in so many ways. I am so glad to hear that you are going to do both Premier and Lion Brand weeks again this year. I had so much fun in 2023 with your projects! Can't wait to see what you come up with this year. Huge hugs from Texas.
Happy New Year🎉🎉🥰🥰 I wish you great health in 2024 and forward you have done such a great job controlling your diabetes continue doing what your doing so proud of you. Love all your hats and I so love your channel. Thank you for who you are.
Good morning, Jennifer! (it's a.m. here) Your new hat is beautiful and so are all your creations using the Fair Isle yarn. I've made up my mind that I will have some this year. I crochet and knit but it happens that right now crochet makes me happy. 2023 was a real kicker, wasn't it? That year started out, first thing, with another emergency surgery for me then proceeded with held breath waiting for the other shoe to drop. It didn't. Yay! So, you just keep doing what's been so good for your blood levels. Soon you'll be across that plateau with your goal in sight. Hope you're having a grand vacation. Enjoy your children...they grow up so fast. Happy 2024!
Just wanted you to know that this old lady not only watches your presentations every day but I'm also watching each of your previous shows, too!❤ Just know that I love you, Jen the person, as well as Jen the teacher.❤🎉 You're simply an all around GREATER woman that you realize! 🫶 I send you big hugs at least twice daily...you just have to accept your value and wonderful ness for me and your other fans. ❤❤❤ With a wink in my eye and much love in my heart, 🫵 your Jewish mother has spoken❣️ 😂😂😂😂😂
You've got this, Cinnamon/Jennifer. My husband was diagnosed 4 years ago with diabetes. His late biological mother died on the OR table re: amputation and she had WAY out of control diabetes. Thankfully, he's got it handled and is doing the right things. PS one of our adult kids gave us an American Diabetes Association Desserts cookbook, substituting frozen fruit juice or applesauce in lieu of white sugar. Made brownies using applesauce and unsweetened baking cocoa, tasted the the regular real thing. Oh, and gluten free! Hugs and happy New Year!
I appreciate you being here every day Jennifer, to keep me company and entertained! I got inspired by 2 of your tutorials, and I enjoyed them so much! You look good in greens and neutrals, which are my colors. Peace and Blessings and the Best of Health this New Year! 🧶
If your daughter wants to do something with you when she's 18 or older. Don't worry, she'll always want to do something with you. For the rest of her life, it shows that you are her best friend in the whole wide world. Little man wants a play button because he wants to be just like his mama.▶️🐻
I know what an issue it can be to stay on top of your help. I am 80 and have had 40 surgeries. I love to crochet. Learned when I was 7. Happy Healthy New Year to you.
Have a Happy and Healthy 2024 to u and your family! You deserve a nice holiday break. Thank you for all of the tutorials and videos u gave us in 2023! ❤ Looking fwd to your upcoming vids in 2024. 😁
Slow and steady wins the race Jennifer. If you continue to work as you have slow you will keep it off much longer. I am a big beautiful woman and my weight is holding me back. I am going to concentrate on me this year. Little by little we can do this! Happy Healthy New Year to you!!
I am new to your channel this year and so glad I found you. I learned to crochet about 23 years ago , mostly the wrong way with lots of frogging and undoing because I didn’t have the internet tutorials to help me when I needed help! I tried knitting a while back but I didn’t do well with it! I burned myself out crocheting afghans for all my family members. Longstory short, I took it up again about a year ago with review tutorials of swatches and stitches and then trying dish towels, wash rags and scrubbies! Discovered I could do patterns much better “ watching”the steps than I could reading patterns. I am such a visual learner!! Thank you, thank you and other crocheters for all the work you put into your tutorials and patterns. I have improved so much and have branched out from all the straight things to wearables like summer tops and sweaters. I am a 79year old grandma with crooked arthritic fingers and joints…and sometimes they flair up and I have to pace myself. I am working on a cardigan made from the Lion Brand Jeans yarn that you reviewed. I hope to send you a picture of it when I finish it! You and others with you who have you tube channels have inspired me so much. Again, thank you so much for your support and your love for your craft! Enjoy your time off with your precious family! !
Hi, I knit I crochet and I was a spinner who raised corriedale wool from Penny my sheep. Because of life getting in the way, my spinning wheel was given away. I was heart broken. I'm saving up to get a new spinning wheel so I can spin wool into yarn. I'm learning to use a drop spindle and spin merino / silk top roving. The hat you showed and talked about that you love and washed with dish soap. Try washing it in shampoo and rinse with conditioner. Dry flat. It will be soft and smell so good. I love spinning my own yarn so much!! I love your videos . Happy New Year. I'm proud of you Jennifer with your progress with taking care of your diabetes and your health. I too am diabetic and have problems with my hands. Eczema is horrible. Take care. Love you bunches !!
My goal is better self care for 2024 , I’m always doing for others ! Which I still will , but not at the expensive of not caring for myself , and lose about 4-5 pounds ! Same as you ! Happy New Year Sweet Girl !❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉
Happy New Year Jennifer to you and your family and all of the cinnamon buns! I cannot wait to see all of the beautiful things that you have made! I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and New Year vacation!❤ happy early birthday Mr cinnamon! Jennifer you been doing a amazing job working through the whole diabetes thing keeping us updated on your progress❤! I think the fact that Juju wants to spend the time with you I don't think that's going to change because I think it's about how you have raised her she is going to be one of those children that always want to spend time with her mother and father! I think the Hat with the Fair Isle yarn is beautiful and the headband are gorgeous!❤ the hat made with the hand spun yarn is gorgeous!
Mounjaro. I was 379 a year ago. Today I am 215. My goal is 160. If you are diabetic, which you are and have medical insurance you only have to pay 25.00 . Good luck sweetie. And the 60 pounds you lost?! That is fabulous! ❤
One of the tips I remember from weight watchers is that if you hit a plateau, switch up what you eat for breakfast and lunch.. Have your lunch for breakfast and your breakfast for lunch.
Happy New Year, Cinnamon Family. So proud of all you've done this year to improve your health. You inspire me to do the same. Also, I love the special yarn hat, its gorgeous. Have fun with your family.
That 'hand spun' hat IS gorgeous! I tried spinning, with a drop spindle, years ago. I got raw wool from an 'ag' class at a local high school, washed, carded and TRIED to spin it. I managed to get maybe 25 yds of yarn until I gave up. It was an interesting experiment and while I loved the challenge, it was so very frustrating and I finally gave up. I crocheted the yarn into a square then packed everything into a box and put it all away. I dont even know where it is. That hat is beautiful, the yarn was fantastic looking and it was wonderful to see what you did with it. It would be my all-time favorite hat too! I pray you and your family are having a great vacation! HAPPY NEW YEAR!🎆🎉🎊
You inspire me with your crochet and honest outgoing personal goals reportng, since my car accident recovery and health problems, t o renew my goals of health care, also love crocheting and great therapy
Hi Jen, Happy New Year to you and your family. I remember when you told us about your diabetes diagnosis .You have done a remarkable job managing it. 2024 will be even better 😍
I absolutely love the hat with the spun yarn, I'm like you I see the craftsmanship of it and you picked the perfect color for the brim. You kicked diabetes a$$. I hope you're giving yourself the credit you deserve. You get more views because we've come to love you and your family 💞 you're the best 😘
Love your video.yoyr hair head band look amazing.you doing good on your Debates.it run in my family.i have to be careful.❤❤ love and prayers God Bless everyone.
So Funny that you mentioned that you never make anything for yourself. I never think of crocheting for myself, it I recently purchased some yarn to make a blanket for my friend. I love the yarn so much that I think I’m going to make a blanket for myself.
I made mittens and a beanie with the wool ease fair isle and love them!!! This yarn is great and my daughter is putting in her order for what she wants me to make her 😊
Jen so proud of the way you have handled your diabetes and weight loss. I am widowed and so glad I feel like I have a friend speaking to me every day. I love your tutorials for knitting and crocheting and you are such a good teacher and the way you speak about the yarns and the tips you give Make me challenge myself to make more. But..... I am becoming a yarn adrift and have to curb myself this new year and use up all this yarn!!!! Keep up the good work you do and I am so glad I found your channel.
Dear Jen, I have Type 2 diabetes to, when I was diagnosed, and started all the things we have to do for diabetes, I cried to, I cried a lot, it’s a shock, a worry, you also grieve to. It’s a loss of what your life use to be before diagnosis. It’s a hard pill to swallow. I’ve had diabetes for 11 years and I still get sad and scared having this. So don’t be hard on yourself it’s not easy. I struggle to, with the diet mostly, plus 2 years after my diagnoses I lost my sweet dear mom to cancer it was very sudden, and she was my rock and emotional support through my diagnoses, she would listen to my fears and let me cry, she new how I felt. Your doing good with the weight loss and with breaking your ankle it’s a setback and as soon as it heals a 100% you will be able to do your walking. I have back problems and it’s getting worse and a right foot problem not diabetes related it’s metatarsal damage so it’s a struggle with my walking but I persevere and do the best I can. Hang in there sweetie.
Happy New Year 🎉🎉!! I loved your video and wish you a healthy and happy 2024! My prayers for you are you succeed in all ways of health. Your channel is a favorite of mine. I miss you on weekends. Happy New Year and continued success with your channel.
The mental adjustment that goes with the diagnosis of diabetes is challenging! I have never had an insulin pump either. I watched diabetes kill my sister! I have arthritis and heart issues and it is hard! I deal with mood swings and I have a son rejecting me right now because he sees me as obsessed with health issues but I have told you all of them plus cancer I have been through!
I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with hand dyed yarns. I have a few skeins and always looking for ideas on what to do with them. I've really enjoyed the patterns I've worked of yours.
The year before my heart surgery I broke my right ankle and had multiple plates and screws to reconstruct it! That is how we found the heart issue! It saved my life! If we would not have known about THAT, the stroke would have broken lose and killed me! Since heart surgery, I have dropped 30 pounds but have more to go! I want to be around to see grandkids graduate high school and build memories!
I can’t believe someone said that to you about knitting. I have been in a bougie yarn shop and been treated horribly once they found out I crochet. There’s no excuse for snobby attitudes either way and you are certainly not snobby! Hugs
Hi Jen, Happy New Year to you and your beautiful family! Great goals for the coming year - I went hog wild purchasing yarn in December - especially on NYE….because my January yarn ban starts today! (Except for one trip to my favorite LYS on the OBX mid-month). 🤪 Planning on tackling my stash. Also focusing on self-care, health and finances this year. I believe in you, you can do it! You have a lot of people behind you. Thanks for your videos and for sharing. Just FYI, you are responsible for my Koigu habit. Luv it. ❤
Happy New Year Jen! I love Hannah too! She is so talented and that little Nova and Noah are doing cute! Glad you are getting some family time and get away plans! Thanks for all your hard work to record videos for while you take some much needed time off. Thank you for all you do❤ you have a super job with managing your diabetes and weight control!
It was a pleasure to watch and listen to you all through 2023!! As you faced each hurdle head-on crying or not, and overcame it with humor and flair, I was truly inspired. Thank you for adding some fun, interest and knowledge to my year. Wishing you and your beautiful family all the best of everything for 2024 💕💕💕
My mother taught me to crochet when I was eight and when I was 20 a friend taught me to knit, I love them both equally and for different projects, but crochet holds a special place in my heart because of my mother. Im 78 years old and I make alot of things for people in my life, I give them away, I don't sell anything, it makes me happy to gift people my hand made things❤
Hi Jennifer! Happy New Year! Wow, I can't believe it's been a year already since your diagnosis. It seems like just a few months ago that you were telling us about the rude phone call you got telling you your diagnosis. You are such an inspiration and I'm so incredibly proud of you! I watch a lot of your videos, but I'm really bad about commenting on them. Thank you for a year full of fun, knowledge, and all you do for your Cinnamon Buns. I love and appreciate you. Have a fantastic and crafty day!
I'm so sick of saving my ”good” yarn for something special that I have stopped buying big box yarn. I have enough yarn. Now I want to learn stitches that accent the yarn and design some things I want.
Loved this video. You have awesome goals and I am hoping you achieve all that you desire. BTW, the green looks great on you. I am loving it. Happy New Year.
When I was younger I enjoyed brighter vibrant colors but the older I become I find the richer jewel tones and earthy colors to be what I gravitate towards. Sometimes our personalities can make us choose colors that match, however, I would rather my personality to stand out more than the colors I'm wearing. I a great time with your family. I think it's great that you are dedicating this time to be with your family and not splitting the time with your channel. I have no doubt that Chris, Juju, and little man will love that you are spending quality time with them and not recording anything. Happy New Year to you all. Safe travels in that nice truck.
You are such a warm and loving personality. I love your channel. I was delighted to learn that you live in a town where I once lived. I hope someday to go back and see how much it has changed and would love to meet you. I love the sweet glimpse of your adorable family. Watching you always puts a smile on my face.
Just a suggestion, I have to loose weight and don't want to become diabetic so am doing "dirty" keto. There r awseome recipes out there that r really good and my family likes them w/o knowing they r keto. much love and have a happy New Year❤
The fuzzy yarn could be bison because it’s really soft and fuzzy and warmer than superwash wool. I love it I made a crochet hat and scarf with the bison. (don’t tell the bougie yarn shop I got it from)😅😊
You know what's really great about you Jennifer? You are so real about who you are and what you think. My 40 something son is diabetic type 2. You are right it changes your life. I was hearing everything you were saying sure lots of scary stuff but great stuff too. I think you just hit a levelling off and you'll start to lose again. The important thing is doing it the right way for you. I get the sense you don't think Juju will be around much or in your life much but remember who raised her I think your wrong about that you kids are great. I can't read a pattern to save my life. My mom taught me to crochet and she couldn't read a pattern either. I can't drive a stick auto. I don't have it in me to learn it. I've tried I can't. Safety first so automatic it is lol.i hope this year bears the fruit you plant, your hopes and dreams. Wishing you the very best every day for you and your family. Happy New Year! ☕
Hello Jennifer, you have had a year, let’s hope it only gets better, stay positive, love you girl! Loved your makes and your stories! Love and Hugs!
Your makes are gorgeous! I'm loving the hunter green thing, you look great in it, Jen! 😊👍🧶

Jen,
I love your videos! I completely agree with you. Self care is so important! Bless you and yours in the New Year🎉
I can’t believe someone said that to you about knitting.
Luv it. ❤
Love the hat.The yarn is amazing ❤
Happy New Year Jen! I love Hannah too! She is so talented and that little Nova and Noah are doing cute! Glad you are getting some family time and get away plans! Thanks for all your hard work to record videos for while you take some much needed time off. Thank you for all you do❤ you have a super job with managing your diabetes and weight control!
Happy New Year, Jen and the cinnamon family! Thanks gor sharing your ❤️
It was a pleasure to watch and listen to you all through 2023!!
Hope you and your family have a Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to you and your beautiful family!
Jennifer you are so sweet. Huggs😊
Happy New Years 🎉🎉
I wasn’t going to do this, but I did it all in about 5 days. Knitted 11 hats and crocheted 5 hats. Plus I made a baby/toddler size dress.
Hi Jennifer, Happy New Year to you and your family. Stay safe
I'm so sick of saving my ”good” yarn for something special that I have stopped buying big box yarn. I have enough yarn. Now I want to learn stitches that accent the yarn and design some things I want.
Happy New Year. I hope you an your family have a great year.
I absolutely LOVE your videos!
I love it all. 🩷🩷🩷 little man chose a great gift. Hope your new year stared out beautifully. Love you 💜
Happy New Year to all
Loved this video. You have awesome goals and I am hoping you achieve all that you desire. BTW, the green looks great on you. I am loving it. Happy New Year.
Happy New Year 2024
Morning 😊😊❤❤
Morning!
Happy New Year Jen from my family to your's love ya and God Bless.
Love the hats so pretty. My middle daughter turned 20 today!!! Time flies. Hope you’re having a wonderful morning!!!❤
Happy New Year! My new years resolution is to get all of my changed to daylight savings! Lol
You are such a warm and loving personality. I love your channel. I was delighted to learn that you live in a town where I once lived. I hope someday to go back and see how much it has changed and would love to meet you. I love the sweet glimpse of your adorable family. Watching you always puts a smile on my face.
Happy New Year 🎉🎉
Health is a tough goal! You keep that up, Girl! I am right there with you!
I truly love your channel.
Thank You & Happy New Year
Happy New Year! Praying that your health will be excellent this year and that you reach your personal goals!
Happy New Years I love all your videos thanks for sharing everything you made looks gorgeous
(don’t tell the bougie yarn shop I got it from)😅😊
Happy new year.
I love watching you each and every week!
That hat is amazing!!!
Thank you
Happy New Year to you all! Happy 1 year of surviving and thriving! Happy birthday to the Mr!
