      My jerkface cat EATS my succulents. Little shit chewed my elephant plant down to nubs 😭
      I bought a hanging shelf from Temu that i’m going to mount grow lights to & hide the plants in my bedroom & start over again.
      I used to be able to trim the elephant plant & it would grow back. I think its too far gone now.

      Not all will re-root like that, but if she calluses the "beans" and puts them on top of the soil they will 9/10 root and begin a new plant

      @@nicolesymonds2349 I had a hanging plant that lost a lot of leaves midway down multiple stems during our move. I cut the stems where the bare spots began, let them all callus and stuck them in a new pot with new soil. I’ve had great success doing this several times but of course it’s not full proof

      We had an enormous burrow tail for years that hung about 4 feet. If anybody touches it ...RAIN ! The only thing about these plants is that they should be planted in a pot with a rounded rim so that when they get longer and heavier that the stem doesnt snap from the weight

  • @sofiamalin9684
    @sofiamalin9684 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    It’s dropping leaves because it’s overwatered! Succulents are desert plants, so the leaves should be VERY squishy before you water them again. The soil might also be a bit too organic and thus water retentive, which also may lead to ”overwatering” even if you water it very infrequently. Your soil should be dry again about three days after watering 😊

      @petrescuework-difficultcas6581 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With Sedum, like Sedum burrito, just place the dropped off leaves on the top of the soil and mist them regularly. They will start to grow small plants for (nearly) each bean.
      You can also try Kalanchoe, like K. tubiflora. They grow tiny new plants with roots and everything on the sides of each leaf. If the leaf wilts, the baby plant drops on the soil and starts to grow. If you want to, you can get hundreds of plants out of one mother plant quick and easy. They are very hearty.

    • @deathbloom27

      @@petrescuework-difficultcas6581 I found a pot of kalanchoe in the trash at work a few months ago. It was 3 plants in one tiny pot. The blooms were dead and I'm guessing they thought the plant was dead. It was definitely overgrown, but still very much alive! I cut all the blooms off and all the giant overgrown leaves, I now have like 13+ kalanchoe babies I dunno what to do with and one of the main plants actually just bloomed again 😂 I couldn't waste them knowing what they could be!
