THANK YOU these looks so good and I appreciate that you throw your learnings in here as you go (wooden spoon, keep the other tops in the freezer as you work etc.) Also really nice to see that lactaid will work!!
I made this today and the matcha pastry cream is absolutely delicious! When I get thai tea, I'll try the Thai tea pastry cream! So good! Thank you for the tutorial!!!
am usually just a ghost consumer on youtube but these were so good that I just had to comment my appreciation... I found this ~3mos ago on subtle asian cooking and used the recipe for my second attempt at cream puffs and they were AMAZING. I'm back to bake em again now -- thank you guys so so much for this!!! also side note~ I didn't have thai tea in the house so I made lemon cream and earl grey cream along with the matcha, they were a big hit!
Thanks for taking the time to comment to let us know. It's great to hear your cream puffs turned out amazing! Lemon cream and earl grey cream sound delicious!
We just like spending time in the kitchen 🙂 haha. Yes, please give it a try and let us know how it goes! They were intimidating for me too, and now I love making them and creating new fillings.
Ohhh! I always wondered what type those cream puffs were! These look divine 😋 I would suggest to fold in some whipped cream with the pastry cream to make it lighter but, that’s just how I like them
There could be many reasons why it didn’t rise, moving onto the next step too soon (butter and water mixture not hot enough before adding flour, or flour mixture not cool enough when you add the egg, or opening up the oven too soon to check on the puffs and letting the hot air out).
They are full of such great flavor. I love the color of the cream. YUM
Thank you! They’re a great pop of color

Would it be a good idea to pre-cut the craquelin tops before freezing them?
I didn’t think of that, but that sounds like a good idea.

I uploaded a new video welcome to visit thanks..
Thanks for visiting!
how come my puff didnt rise, the height is only half of yours
There could be many reasons why it didn’t rise, moving onto the next step too soon (butter and water mixture not hot enough before adding flour, or flour mixture not cool enough when you add the egg, or opening up the oven too soon to check on the puffs and letting the hot air out).
@@jasonandangie7730 thank you for your reply! I will definitely try each of the steps you suggest
