So beautifully done ✨.. I'm just imagining how your brain was working while playing this solo with the lots of theory to play while playing most times it feels hard to use the theory 🥲. But this won't seem the case as you.. Those harmonics chords you did 🔥
Jens - I could listen to a lot more of that. You and Rotem should make an album together! You’ve got a ready market among the subscribers to both of your YT channels.
😮🥰 my two favorite teachers jamming together! Ah man, I wish I was there to witness the magic in person...great teachers, great players, great humans 🤟
We don't often get to see how much of an absolute monster Jens is outside of digestible demonstrations. Haha! Very cool to hear some of your voice, Jens! Spectacular playing by Rotem as well, of course. Absolute masterclass gentlemen. 🔥
Really enjoyed this duet! It's a piece I'm working on myself. A great tune to drift in and out of whole tone scales. In fact it's been a breakthrough of sorts for me. These guys did such a great job with it.
I had to stop listen and smile and get a few goose bumps... really nice guys... I just see the synth .. I wonder how he likes it.. I didn't notice a "wrong" expression note :-).
You guys sound great together. I would love to see more of these collaborations. Solos were burning but it was the comping that amazed me. So much movement.
Wow. Great stuff. Your playing is always so tasteful, melodic and musical, Jens. Your friend Rotem offers an interesting contrast of personality, as well.
Awesome! As great as your lesson videos are, it’s also nice to just hear you jam to see how all of the pieces and parts that you explore in your lessons come together in the fabric of jam. Good stuff! Perhaps this video could become the basis for a lesson on comping and single note lines on this tune? Thanks Jens!
I just got my hands on a “ lawsuit” Electra 2267 maple pro - I had to do a little work here and there, but it is a beautiful guitar- curly maple, trapeze , tree of life inlay, and has the same “ harmonica” tune o matic like on your ibenez- I watch , and then I practice! Still waiting on my 355 to ship- cheers Jens
Gotta say, ive been playing a lot lately, and ive learned a lot from you. After 20 years its making sense. Take a look at the few things I have if you're inclined. Phrasing, tone, techniques, frameworks, (and more than a lick or two haha) thank you!
love the contrasting styles, you really rip it Jens! Rotem is a little more fusiony I feel like, but very balanced/restrained and most importantly in a jam, you two go pretty well TOGETHER :)
I checked out Rotem's page. Very different teaching style, but there's no fluff. You can tell he doesn't perceive the world the way most of us do, but that is the seed of artistry. Can artistry be taught? Well, he seems to try. The first three vids I checked out got me thinking differently about scales and chords.
Hope you like the slightly different type of video! 🙂 More like this?
Check out Rotem's channel: th-cam.com/channels/h6bu62Kt5LzjuwGbFOop9Q.html
Sure, more like this will be very welcome. You're a musician, not just a teacher.
Yes this was great. Now we see you can make jazz to. And not just teach!
@@Xeroagua So I guess you didn't see the clips from Taiwan or Spain?

@@buwovwitega3723 Thank you! I don't think about theory when I play. That is for practicing
Thanks for having me man!! so fun (as always! :)

Yes I second this. I loved your solo on the Paul Davids collaboration. The world needs more of your awesome music. 🙏
You could make literally hundreds!
I’ll second that!

Don't be tempted to quote Star Trek when playing this tune. It will get you kicked off the stage. Learned the hard way.

Actually, it is pretty much only mids?

Great playing Jens 🔥 buy it with all " wrong" notes.
I like it.
so nice! Jens are you using some kind of overdrive or smth? If not, how do you get that kind of distorted/saturated sound? I love it!
Thank you! I think Rotem had some OD pedal on, but I don't know what. Just ask him 🙂
you're smiling, Rotem's face is AS IF HE'S IN PAIN... SOUNDS GREAT!!!!!
