I'm so obsessed with the 15 room dollhouse. The finished piece should end up in a museum like Bentley House Mini's Addams Family Dollhouse and the Captain's Quarters.
Whitney! I love how your imagination works! The painting of the wardrobe to reflect Miss Salt’s outfit is just genius! It’s great to “see you back.” I had no idea you were out with surgery. I don’t do Instagram or Facebook, so maybe that’s how I missed it. I’m so glad you’re up and about and creating! 💙💙. My husband is at the end of his post back surgery recovery ….it’s all quite the process, isn’t it? Thankfully, he’s doing well too. I can’t wait for your future installments! Oh, I also wanted to mention (as a retired children’s librarian who adores Dahl’s books - another creative genius!) - in case you don’t know, Roald Dahl’s childhood was just beyond terrible! He was in English boarding school and was tormented, abused, etc. His autobiography details this horrible, horrible aspect of his life. I think his imagination had to have come from his loneliness and also being terrorized - it came through as his imaginative private escape and imaginative revenge as well. We just never fully know what life has been or is for others. All the most reason to be kind and thoughtful - as you are on your channel! 💙 Enjoy the rest of the week! In our snow-surrounded forest here, I am ensconced in my little art studio working on my fairytale dollhouse - specially on the Jack and the Beanstalk room - such fun! Takes good, good care! 💙💙. Kathleen
I'm loving learning that you were a librarian! I loved reading as a child, so many great series come to mind! Thank you for sharing about Roalds background, I did not know that but I have written down in my notes to research more about him and now you have further inspired me to do that! thank you. This room is so fun and wild, it will never be accessed of being boring! Your Jack and the beanstalk room sounds so charming. I'm happy to be back!
@@WhitneyLaBrie my childhood was similar except the boarding school. I'd spend my time in a cuboard reading books that was a great escape from the real world. Shame I can't fit in a cupboard now though lol x
This was so much fun! Always a pleasure to see you and Tiny Whitney! I love the egg and the fish/fish heads😂 you are always thinking outside the box and it’s such a joy 💕
I'm glad you enjoyed the fish heads! They were my favorite part of this armoire. Their little faces made me giggle! The egg in the pillow just really made the piece come together for me.
Great to see you back, so good to have you and what a way to burst back onto the channel! Love your interpretation of Wonka stories, thank you so much! ❤
Wow, Whitney how fun is this room! I love this childhood classic. I had no idea you had surgery. So glad you are back and recovered. Hopefully it went well and beneficial. I had no idea so many of us were on a leave. This room is most Nostalgic. The wall paper is my favorite ❤🥰
What a cute an interesting idea to represent Veruca Salt. It’s so clever! The fish turned out so cuteeeee! I didn’t know about the surgery. I just saw you mentioned it on the community tab over a month ago. Hope it went well. It’s great to see you back.
Whitney, I had no idea you had a surgery! 😮 I am glad you are okay. Hugs. I apologize for not knowing. The room is turning out great! When you said about not knowing what type of fish? I immediately thought of “Swedish Fish”, of course! LOL I want to read the book you keep referring to about behind the scenes. It sounds so fascinating. Glad to see you back. 😊
It’s been a whirlwind, but I’m so happy to be back! I only made one short post on YT about the surgery because several people had asked me why I hadn't done longer videos lately. It wasn't a major surgery it was just located between my upper leg and lower abdomen and so the stitches made it hard to get around easy. The book is called "the making of willy Wonka" by Mel Stewart. Its been a fun read.
Hi Whitney!! This a great video,Verica Salt is my favorite brat🤣 The fish skeletons are brilliant. Aww,there’s Tiny Whitney! You know I have A crush on her! 😅🥰😉
BTW,there was a band from the 90’s,called ‘Veruca Salt’. I used to wash the windows of one of the band members mom’s house🤣 The band is from Cleveland Ohio.
Really missed these videos Whitney! Happy you have recovered from surgery and are continuing work on the 15 room dollhouse! Thank you for all of the history on the making of Willy Wonka. I didn't see the 2005 version for several years either. I din't think it would be anywhere near what felt magical about the version Gene Wilder was in. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!
@@heathermartinez8640 Johnny will never come close to playing WW the way gene wilder did. But I can certainly my appreciate his attempt at playing the role differently, I can’t imagine trying to fill the shoes of Gene Wilder. But anyway I am loving this crazy room and I’m so happy you are here on this mini journey with me! 💜💜💜
