Keep playing as they did the last game. We had no goals but it was finally a good game in my eyes. Sometimes you need some luck and we didn't have any combined with canucks doing a great job at collecting our rebounds.
Sweeney should have gotten scorers last summer. Too late. It wasn’t a hand pass. He fried to get stick on puck and looked like puck hit right where stick was in the glove. Not even close to a hand pass.
I'm so thankful for your coverage of my beloved B's. It takes a bit of the sting away with every loss. I hate to say it, but you've changed my mind. I think you're right and the good old days of the BBB are over. It may be time to blow it up and start fresh next season.
Yes we got held off the score sheet but honestly we can't expect our offense to win us games. I thought we played a great game and just got unlucky. We ran into a hot goaltender and they blocked like 25+ shots. I can handle us losing like that. We need to continue to play like that and the goals will come. We are playing 100% better than we were for the first 18+ games.
I think Pasta knows the abilty or the lack of it for this Bruins team. The goalie can be fabulous and the defense is great but you cannot survive in this league if you cannot put the puck in the net!
I can't fault their effort last night as they brought the game to the Canucks. Lankinen, their goalie was the difference. They generated enough opportunities to win. Last night also showed the importance of sinking the chances the B's created when their offense is as bone-dry as it is right now. They barely have an offense to get ahead let alone come from behind.
Lysell was drafted with the rep and hype of a sniper. For those wondering why he's been overlooked for a call up by the likes of Merculov and Mclaughlin, his stat line of 2-5-7 from playing in 14 of the Baby B's 17 games might be the reason. Still, we'll never know what he can do until he gets a shot. Not a one and done. Give him a few games so the club can see if he has any knack around the net, if he can get that close because much bigger than him on the Bruins can't seem to get in their and screen the other goalie's vision. Isn't it about sh!t or get off the pot time for him and the management?
I'd like to see them switch wingers to off-hand sides. Marchy on RW, Pasta on LW, etc. Give these guys new looks and the off-hand wing opens up offensive opportunities. Not just one-timers or whatever, but to be in better position for rebounds. Puck doesn't have to go across the body to get on the strong side.
@@bruinsdiehards 100%. Even if it's an in-game decision by the coach, it should be implemented when the effort is there but pucks aren't going in (like last night). I think Pasta would benefit greatly from being on LW. Put Pasta - Lindholm - Zacha and I guarantee that scoring goes up for all 3.

Roll with that for 2 or 3 games.
Again, I stated it last video, we need potra back with our 4th line. That line was so good when he was with that line, why do you break it up? Or put him with the top line with pasta and Marchand. Just my thoughts
They've been of the mindset for years now that you can pair bottom-six wingers with top-six centers, and the wingers will elevate their game (or the centers will elevate the game of those around them). The problem now is, they don't have top-six centers to pair with their bottom-six wingers....so all you have a team full of 3rd liners. Ever since Nathan Horton left, there was a revolving door on Krech's wing that they never filled; and 12 years later, they still haven't filled that hole, but they are now playing with less skilled centers.

Apparently, their goalie is 8-0 on the road , after last night. I didn't see any real scorers available last off season, I didn't buy the hype about E. Lindholm scoring ability, he was overhyped , not a first line center and he's overpaid 😛. I would get rid of Geekie and I like your ideas. Ultimately Coyle has to go his deal is up end of the year and he just doesn't score much and he's overpaid, I would trade Zacha , he's too soft and cannot seem to score also overpaid. Somebody's gotta go to bring new talent that can score and skate well. We will see if things pick up by January.
Agreed. Team play is great, but the need to add scoring has been there for too long. They need to add someone with finish, which I think will ease the pressure on Pasta, Marchy, and Lindholm. I was wracking my brain for a while who they could realistically get, and then word come out about Kreider. I think Kreider's game would be a perfect fit for the Bruins, it's just a matter of who they need to trade to get him (see my post on the previous video, too lengthy to rewrite here).

I simply can't get through to internet fans that scoring starts with your goalie. When they shrunk The gear, the role of the goalie changed. I was goalie coaching then. I lived through this transition. So you can criticize somebody for being a lower level goalie - but they start these changes with us before they hit the NHL We lost a lot of goalies because of the expenses and changing the equipment.. You couldn't trade in used gear for new anymore. Had to buy new, lot of it was garbage, expensive and had to be backordered I skipped a lot of freakin' meals to keep my kid safe, in proper legal gear and a new back up throat guard in the vehicle at ALL times! I was part of this growth in the game. They started in the lower leagues first, two years before the NHL made many of the changes official We had to go through it first in the lower leagues. And we're not millionaires! This has also contributed to why USA does not produce elite goalies. We produce elite players, yet the best goalies are coming from Europe! ARGUE WITH THAT! I even heard Patrick Laine talk about the fact that he was a goalie until he was 10 or 12 years old, and his father couldn't keep up with the expense so he made him skate out. And according to Patrick's age that would have been exactly right, the changes we saw in the USA. Public arenas, beer league teams, anybody and everybody were scrambling for goalies at that time - some arenas even helped me keep my kid in the proper gear in exchange for letting him play until midnight having to get up for school the next day! That's the only way I would have been able to afford it, and how my kid got so much experience so fast with so many different leagues When they changed that gear, they were looking for higher-scoring games - and it worked, fans were so stupid they really thought hockey players got better at shooting.....? The overall NHL GAA went up 40% in one season, nobody noticed!! DUH? shrunk pads, blockers, trappers, helmet, restricted the size jersey a goalie could wear measured their tape job to make sure it wasn't too thick Goalies will take every millimeter of advantage from wearing a larger Jersey to double taping their blade to get that extra millimeter to stop that puck The league caught on to it This meant goalies needed to be much larger and more athletic. Smaller goalies had to move more, get pulled out of position.. they had to work harder to stop the puck, they couldn't sit still, maintain their angle and get ready to flick the rebound out to their defenseman. Moving way too much, injury-prone Can't tell you how many kids blew out their knees trying to keep up with the butterfly More precise angles lead to more control over the rebound. Hybrid style worked best, not blowing out young goalies knees with the butterfly They're standing up more, their pads are up and angled - they are helping the forward lines when they control their rebounds to the point that they're flicking them out as passes, like Rask used to do Linus is huge and strong - had the strength to use the boards, help transition the puck up quickly - handed players breakaway opportunities they blew If NHL stats went back to include who actually sets up plays that lead to goals, go back one more touch of the puck, goalies would have a lot more assists on goals Linus has three assists on goals, got two with the Bruins Rascals somewhere like 17 or 19 assists on goals, but he came from that older League where that was more unusual. If they would go back to the fourth touch, fans and sports jocks would see exactly what they do. Where goals come from Then fans could play with those numbers. But they don't know what to look for in this new league unless they're fed numbers, stats. They don't have an eye for detail to see the stats that don't make it on the board - a lot of my support behind Charlie Coyle is the same thing. Nobody else sees it! He's the fourth touch of the puck setting up goals, his work doesn't get rewarded nor appreciated So it's not worth spending any more time discussing why the Bruins aren't scoring because everyone still thinks that Jeremy is the future of the Bruins So there's no conversation to be had Just picking apart specific players and lines once again - Scoring starts from the back end It starts with your goalie. If korpisalo could gain more experience with this defense? He'd be the fourth touch off of more goals I don't know if korpisalo can keep up a starter schedule. But I suspect, we may not win them? But we would have higher scoring games with a more experienced goalie like Joonas I won't harp on this anymore. But I'm having a real hard time watching the same same comments, same approach - with the same results - that's the definition of insanity.
Last night they had 13 high danger chances and had no puck luck. I see what your saying about touches but I to have been around the game for a very long time and scoring touch is needed as well.
@bruinsdiehards when your goalie creates quick transitions, chances are opponents are going to be behind the play going back up to their d-zone It doesn't matter what combination lines you're throwing out there - they're playing full strength defenses all the damn time The new goalie gear turned goalies into acrobats. Tight angles, controlled rebounds Even the trappers are designed to rebound more efficiently When they're able to create quicker transitions, they give you a power play right then and there Then your top line is now 3 on 2 Zacha and Pasta can approach the ozone more often with two-on-one chances That's the magic of creating quicker transitions in this new league, with this new gear I have experienced trying the gear that goes back to the 1960s, all the way up to this modern stuff. It weighs nothing It's harder and firmer angles designed for goalies to manipulate the puck off of that gear far more efficiently than we could years ago. The old gear was for defensive purposes only. Now it's not. The whole idea is to trap your opponents in your d-zone, That leaves wide open lanes for pasta to work Then he can do his head fakes and blade flicks And the goalie doesn't know whether he's going to pass it or shoot it in these mismatched situations. That's how we score We're spending far too much time in the D zone Those high danger chances would likely be goals if they came off of a quick transition that created a mismatch Try on the old gear Tend net for 1 hour Then switch to the new gear -it's a whole nother game. I've learned a lot about forward lines the last couple of years. I'm understanding the connections far more clearly They're asking this team to play five on five all the damn time! Goalies can create quick power plays!
@@bruinsdiehards You've taught me about forward lines sir! Some of that's help me connect the dots You have come up with every line combination that seems logical on paper - you have been the most balanced and moderate. Yet I keep seeing them taking on full strength defenses. no elite team takes on a full five on five team all times. That's the secret sauce. That's the main ingredient I learned about the last 2 years. Mismatches I worked under a swim coach who should have been at the racetrack - that guy could barely stand up some days, but he crunched the numbers creating relay squad mismatches that you would not believe. He turned a group of seriously low level swimmers into a state championship team. I was in awe. He told me what relay squads to work with, I reported back - we would kick the asses of top private school teams...... Pissed off their coaches to no end! Constant 5 on 5 play, meaning no mismatches, is extremely inefficient both physically and otherwise It's like ping Pong. It's exhausting. Mentally and physically Whether they physically take out a player from the play, or vasilevsky does his magic... That's how lanes are opened. These modern players are too quick. We need to catch them with their pants down in our zone. Give Pasta & Poitrais more Lanes to work with.. and they'll explode. The idea of adding the fourth touch statistic has come and gone before. And as you know through the league's history - that assist statistic changed over the decades. If the fourth touch statistic existed, fans would see the game more clearly on how they connect Until we get that back end in line? We're going to be playing back on our heels, exhausted - will never know the skills of some of these wingers because they're always playing defense! I'm sorry, I don't see any selkie candidates in this group. We can put up any combination line, we're never getting the perfection line back The only way for these guys to get through their learning curves, is to have a goalie and back end they don't need to worry about all the time. If 75% of last season's Ullmark was still with us, Potrais would have taken off by now I can't figure out how to spell Matt's last name You know who it is. Whoever we have on whatever line, they're not getting enough lanes and space to work. It's extremely inefficient ✌️
I love how everyone is praising them for this. Have I changed to a different timeline or an alternative reality? This team is trash. They had 30 scoring chances but zero goals. It's like the college years when we went out... if we talked to 30 girls and none of them came home with us, I can assure you we wouldn't be sitting around our apartment after having a sausage party and telling each other how awesome we are. The only type of people that would do that were the ultra losers. The Johnny Somali Harry Sisson type of losers. My friends.... our Bruins are those bottom of the barrel losers. The ones we point at and say, ''Thank fu(k we are not those clowns!''. I'm not saying they have no chance, but we are being WAAAAAY too positive right now. It is also becoming clear that Monty had been talking to St Louis for a year. He moved his family home to St Louis a long time ago. He never had any intention on staying here. He was demanding a 5-6 year contract last year. I swear to God he had been sabotaging the team on purpose this year.

We will see if things pick up by January.
coyle is not up at end of year.
I think you’re right.
pasta doesn't look good
@@911WASanINSIDEjob420 not many of them do offensively
we need a player who can score with regularity, I mean someone who other teams are intimidated by! Debrusks goal was something peewee hockey scores. The fact that he tried to chirp the bench should give you an idea of the type of person he is! WE CANT SCORE LIKE WE NEED TO! That needs to change, DUDE brazeau played his ass off for us!
I like Brazeau’s game. He has been great
your hatred for debrusk is comical. get a grip.

@@miked4309 I’m not a fan of him either because not for how he plays
@@bruinsdiehards debrusk went out with former teammates on sunday and monday night. he wasnt "chirping the bench" and after he scored he had half a smile to the crowd as not to rub it in or find joy in it.
I simply can't get through to internet fans that scoring starts with your goalie.
When they shrunk The gear, the role of the goalie changed.
I was goalie coaching then. I lived through this transition.
So you can criticize somebody for being a lower level goalie - but they start these changes with us before they hit the NHL
We lost a lot of goalies because of the expenses and changing the equipment..
You couldn't trade in used gear for new anymore. Had to buy new, lot of it was garbage, expensive and had to be backordered
I skipped a lot of freakin' meals to keep my kid safe, in proper legal gear and a new back up throat guard in the vehicle at ALL times!
I was part of this growth in the game. They started in the lower leagues first, two years before the NHL made many of the changes official
We had to go through it first in the lower leagues.
That's the only way I would have been able to afford it, and how my kid got so much experience so fast with so many different leagues
When they changed that gear, they were looking for higher-scoring games - and it worked, fans were so stupid they really thought hockey players got better at shooting.....?
The overall NHL GAA went up 40% in one season, nobody noticed!!
DUH?
shrunk pads, blockers, trappers, helmet, restricted the size jersey a goalie could wear
measured their tape job to make sure it wasn't too thick
Goalies will take every millimeter of advantage from wearing a larger Jersey to double taping their blade to get that extra millimeter to stop that puck
The league caught on to it
This meant goalies needed to be much larger and more athletic.
Smaller goalies had to move more, get pulled out of position.. they had to work harder to stop the puck, they couldn't sit still, maintain their angle and get ready to flick the rebound out to their defenseman. Moving way too much, injury-prone
Can't tell you how many kids blew out their knees trying to keep up with the butterfly
More precise angles lead to more control over the rebound.
Hybrid style worked best, not blowing out young goalies knees with the butterfly
They're standing up more, their pads are up and angled - they are helping the forward lines when they control their rebounds to the point that they're flicking them out as passes, like Rask used to do
Linus is huge and strong - had the strength to use the boards, help transition the puck up quickly - handed players breakaway opportunities they blew
If NHL stats went back to include who actually sets up plays that lead to goals, go back one more touch of the puck, goalies would have a lot more assists on goals
Linus has three assists on goals, got two with the Bruins
Rascals somewhere like 17 or 19 assists on goals, but he came from that older League where that was more unusual.
If they would go back to the fourth touch, fans and sports jocks would see exactly what they do. Where goals come from
Then fans could play with those numbers.
But they don't know what to look for in this new league unless they're fed numbers, stats.
They don't have an eye for detail to see the stats that don't make it on the board - a lot of my support behind Charlie Coyle is the same thing.
Nobody else sees it!
He's the fourth touch of the puck setting up goals, his work doesn't get rewarded nor appreciated
So it's not worth spending any more time discussing why the Bruins aren't scoring because everyone still thinks that Jeremy is the future of the Bruins
So there's no conversation to be had
Just picking apart specific players and lines once again -
Scoring starts from the back end
It starts with your goalie.
If korpisalo could gain more experience with this defense? He'd be the fourth touch off of more goals
I don't know if korpisalo can keep up a starter schedule.
But I suspect, we may not win them? But we would have higher scoring games with a more experienced goalie like Joonas
I won't harp on this anymore. But I'm having a real hard time watching the same same comments,
same approach - with the same results - that's the definition of insanity.
Last night they had 13 high danger chances and had no puck luck. I see what your saying about touches but I to have been around the game for a very long time and scoring touch is needed as well.
@bruinsdiehards when your goalie creates quick transitions, chances are opponents are going to be behind the play going back up to their d-zone
It doesn't matter what combination lines you're throwing out there - they're playing full strength defenses all the damn time
The new goalie gear turned goalies into acrobats. Tight angles, controlled rebounds
Even the trappers are designed to rebound more efficiently
When they're able to create quicker transitions, they give you a power play right then and there
Then your top line is now 3 on 2
Zacha and Pasta can approach the ozone more often with two-on-one chances
That's the magic of creating quicker transitions in this new league, with this new gear
I have experienced trying the gear that goes back to the 1960s, all the way up to this modern stuff. It weighs nothing
It's harder and firmer angles designed for goalies to manipulate the puck off of that gear far more efficiently than we could years ago.
The old gear was for defensive purposes only. Now it's not.
The whole idea is to trap your opponents in your d-zone,
That leaves wide open lanes for pasta to work
Then he can do his head fakes and blade flicks
And the goalie doesn't know whether he's going to pass it or shoot it in these mismatched situations. That's how we score
We're spending far too much time in the D zone
Those high danger chances would likely be goals if they came off of a quick transition that created a mismatch
Try on the old gear
Tend net for 1 hour
Then switch to the new gear -it's a whole nother game.
I've learned a lot about forward lines the last couple of years. I'm understanding the connections far more clearly
They're asking this team to play five on five all the damn time!
Goalies can create quick power plays!
@ I’m not disagreeing that goalies aren’t assets but that is far from the reason they can’t score right now. That is just my opinion of course
@@bruinsdiehards
You've taught me about forward lines sir!
Some of that's help me connect the dots
You have come up with every line combination that seems logical on paper - you have been the most balanced and moderate. Yet I keep seeing them taking on full strength defenses.
no elite team takes on a full five on five team all times.
That's the secret sauce. That's the main ingredient I learned about the last 2 years.
Mismatches
I worked under a swim coach who should have been at the racetrack - that guy could barely stand up some days, but he crunched the numbers creating relay squad mismatches that you would not believe. He turned a group of seriously low level swimmers into a state championship team.
I was in awe.
He told me what relay squads to work with, I reported back - we would kick the asses of top private school teams...... Pissed off their coaches to no end!
Constant 5 on 5 play, meaning no mismatches, is extremely inefficient both physically and otherwise
It's like ping Pong.
It's exhausting.
Mentally and physically
Whether they physically take out a player from the play, or vasilevsky does his magic...
If the fourth touch statistic existed, fans would see the game more clearly on how they connect
Until we get that back end in line? We're going to be playing back on our heels, exhausted - will never know the skills of some of these wingers because they're always playing defense!
I'm sorry, I don't see any selkie candidates in this group.
We can put up any combination line, we're never getting the perfection line back
The only way for these guys to get through their learning curves, is to have a goalie and back end they don't need to worry about all the time.
If 75% of last season's Ullmark was still with us,
Potrais would have taken off by now
I can't figure out how to spell Matt's last name
You know who it is.
Whoever we have on whatever line, they're not getting enough lanes and space to work. It's extremely inefficient
✌️
@ the team is afraid of offence
Man, I'm the biggest Bruins defender, but I totally agree. People are mad coping 😅
Besides the offense the rest of their play was good especially the defense which was the major issue with Monty as coach
I point out the positives and the negatives all the time.
He looks like quagmire
Who me?
