    Love the x20 vids keep them coming! Only you and Mr. D really cover it in depth! Also, is the setup the same for a simulator like Liftoff?

      👍Thanks for the great compliment! I release new video every Friday, so stay tune 😃.. I never used Liftoff, but I would believe all setups would be similar.. just need to some tinkerings around with it. Thanks!

    Thanks for the video, I have the x20s also and now it works perfect with realflight. The only thing I did different is use the frsky wireless dongle so no need for usb cable.

      Hi, are you asking about the cable connection? At the video about 10:10 minute mark, I connected the cable from X20 to PC with a USB cable that came with your X20. The cable one end is a USB-A that connect to PC, with the other end of the cable a USB-C that connect to X20.

    Outstanding video. I am new to the hobby and just ordered the x20. I have a couple of questions about the simulator setup. Which version of the RealFlight simulator are you using? Do you have to use the FrSky simulator doogle? Thanks in advance for your help. Also are there other flight simulators that might be more compatible with the x20?

      You won't go wrong with the X20. I used Realflight 9.5.

    Great channel really love the instruction. For me even though the flap is setup as proportional it only does flaps zero or flaps one hundred, the center does not work. Anyone else?

    Hello Sir, hope you're doing well. wondering if you can me on this on my x20s on one of the demo planes notice has throttle widget at the top right. when throttle is active the the little squarebox has little red dot in the box appears. I can't figure how to have this on my other planes.

    • @8HrToGo
      @8HrToGo  ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe that square box with red dot indicates that you had enable file write logging in your special function. Check it in your special function icon, write log, to see if you enable it. Disable it to have red dot disappear.

    Can you connect with the FrSky usb dongle?

    • @8HrToGo
      @8HrToGo  ปีที่แล้ว

      The extra FrSky USB dongle would run you another $30 or so and as spoken with some of my flying buddies, I believe you can as u might need to do some firmware update on the dongle (and maybe some soldering also). You would still need to map the controller and it should work... some extra work though..

    Is this set up only work for planes? I fly helicopter and could not figure how to set it work properly.

    • @8HrToGo
      @8HrToGo  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Real Flight simulator software is too complicated to set up with the FrSky radio (bc it's mainly written for Spectrum radio), and I don't fly RC helicopters. But from talking to one of my RC buddy who do fly RC helicopter, and he mentioned that you best go with the Accu RC simulator for helicopter simulator flight. Hope it helps.

    Hi, Your RealFlight Simulator vid is very well done. I own a Frsky X18, do you think your instruction will work with it?

    • @8HrToGo
      @8HrToGo  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't have X18. But both X20 and X18 are based on ETHOS OS, so I believe it should work the same for X18. It's the same step where you would need to create a new flight binary file and follow the steps in the video. Hope it works out well for you. Thanks.

    • @carmineiacono946
      @carmineiacono946 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@8HrToGo I checked with Horizon and their solution was to buy RF and try it. Of course if it didn't work I would be out $100 (can't return software). Unfortunately there is no RealFlight demo version. So your vid was a God send. Thanks again for your time and effort😃

    • @8HrToGo
      @8HrToGo  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@carmineiacono946 My advice is maybe you can check and post on Facebook RC community or Facebook FrSky RC community.. and check if anyone has setup of FrSky X18 working with RealFlight.. that could help you determine whether to buy RF or not..

    Good afternoon, can you buy the simulator and install it on a PC or does it only work through Steam? . Thank you

    • @8HrToGo
      @8HrToGo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately few years back RealFlight was integrated with Steam, so it will now only work with a steam client installed.

    This is not working at all with RealFlight Evolution. I followed your instructions step by step. They worked all the way up to testing as a joystick. However Realflight Evolution does not recognize the X20s at all. Any Ideas?

    • @8HrToGo
      @8HrToGo  ปีที่แล้ว

      So I don't own a RealFlight Evolution to try and find the problem that you encountered. The critical 1st thing - does your computer Window, under "Devices and Printers" see the FrSky radio as being a Joystick/Game controller? (as in step 3 of video) If Windows doesn't see it, Realflight or RealFlight Evolution will never know it is connected. If it does, then it is a matter of setting up the TX correctly, and then configuring a controller in simulator to correctly use the channels coming from it through Windows.
      My suggestion is try another computer with Window 10, and make sure your FrSky transmitter is update to latest SW. If you got past this step 3 as I mentioned above, and RF Evolution doesn't recognize the X20s, then RF Evolution must have blocked it.

    • @hillbillyflyin613
      @hillbillyflyin613 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@8HrToGo That appears to be what has happened. The transmitter is recognized and working 100% as a joystick as per your video. However it does nothing in real flight. Probably a horizon hobby thing. Part of the reason I seldom buy their products. They don't like any competition and they don't play well with others. Their loss! Realflight returned to steam.

    You dont have to make this anymore,its allready fixed with an update👍,realflight use the first 8 channels(maybe more,i not try it ),works without issues😊.
    Das braucht man mittlerweile nicht mehr machen,es wurde gefixt mit einem update.
    Realflight erkennt ganz normal die ersten 8 kanäle(eventuell auch mehr,noch nicht getestet)😊

    • @8HrToGo
      @8HrToGo  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      During the Step of Verify Joystick Driver, make sure that your Flap and gear switch is working properly seeing the axis movement and rotation movement on the PC. If you don't see it then it will not work as PC driver did not map it correctly. Sorry, I don't have instruction written down, instead I made this video to share it to community. People were able to set it up successfully. Please double check again.
