    Considering the recent developments involving SVB, Signature Bank, and First Republic Bank, reminiscent of the 2008 market crash, is it prudent to continue saving in the United States dollar? Alternatively, would it be wise to contemplate investing in gold amidst these circumstances?

    • @richardhudson1243

      It’s always a good option to keep some gold. Well with the current market situation and everything at stake with the present economy, I’d say you’re better off staying away from stocks fr awhile or better still reach out to an adviser for guidance.

    • @darnellcapriccioso

      @@richardhudson1243 It is often true that people underestimate the importance of financial advisors until they experience the negative effects of making decisions based on their emotions. I recall a few summers ago, following a long and difficult divorce, when I needed a significant boost to keep my business afloat. I conducted research and found a licensed advisor who was diligent and helpful in growing my reserves despite inflation. As a result, my reserves increased from $275k to approximately $850k.

    Hugh was more precise and clear than in previous interviews. He's Brilliant, as you follow him, like I do, you get more clarity about how he can see and be honest where others can't. Most so called News platforms filter the truth or simply Corporate bosses won't allow the truth, because at times this would and could cause Panic. Plus most financial Chanels don't have a clue what there talking about, but there cluelessness can be entertaining. Hugh's only agenda is to tell the truth, then you can figure how you want to react. Great Interview!

    Yes, the banking system's lack of competitiveness in comparison to money market funds is the bigger issue (using reverse repo facility). They're through. Before this is resolved, the Fed needs to lower the Interest on Excess Reserves and remove money from their balance sheet. What happened with these banks is only the beginning of what will happen if nothing is done to address the current situation.

Nope , only big banks can , and for big banks to be able to take big decisions at the table amongst "friends" without the annoyance of small fry yapping , they gotta eat them .....

    • @PinballBob1
      @PinballBob1 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Chaos has been sparked by the Feds! Due to the collapse of these banks, investors have abandoned their predictions of additional interest rate increases and have dumped bank stocks all across the world. What's the greatest approach to profit from this bear market now that my portfolio of 300k stocks is in danger of going down?

    • @glenbert1396
      @glenbert1396 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In my opinion, some of these banks were attempting to restructure their bond portfolio, which involved selling their low-yielding bonds despite the potential loss, and compensating for it by buying higher-interest-rate bonds on the open market.

    • @smithmurphy
      @smithmurphy ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Despite the economy's resilience thus far, the banks scenario cautions that the effects of Federal Reserve rate hikes persist. During such periods, investors must remain alert to anticipate what comes next. It is not necessary to act on every prediction, I made more than $220K during this slump, demonstrating that there are more aspects of the market than the average individual is aware of. • @BigHenFor
      @BigHenFor ปีที่แล้ว

      That can't happen. That shouldn't happen. That's what the banks and their hedge fund customers want to happen. There's a problem. Protecting the asset values of hedge funds is impoverishing the present and future economy by making taxpayers debtors. Debtors whose real incomes are declining year on year, and have been doing so for decades. That is Socialism for the asset-rich, and hard capitalism for anyone else.
      And if you want to politically and economically destabilise your country force the Fed to go ahead and bail out these zombie banks. Either financial capitalism accepts the destruction inherent in doing stupid things, or you enslave taxpayers. It's time to stop pretending that hedge funds are part of the productive economy. They're not. They are vast, carnivorous, wealth-extracting parasites on the productive economy. They want the benefits, but none of the risks of really investing in the productive economy. They just want cash flows. And the easiest way to do that is to make others the debtors, and themselves the creditors. And that is a cancer on the present and future economy. This is a war about the future path of the economy. If you truly have free market capitalism, you cannot have taxpayers bail out your stupid decisions, by making them hostages to your misfortune. To do so would give the US economy a Darwin Award for being too stupid to live.
      It's about setting precedents. And losing 5% of bankers too stupid to hedge, may be a price worth paying. It's time to wean the Banking Sector off the teat. And it's time to get real about the broken global financial system, and the limitations of hedge funds. They are not a panacea. They are non-productive risk takers, and they should be insuring their own risk taking.

    Inflation is a quantity of money issue, not a supply issue. It is always a local, home-grown phenomenon.
