They need to bring that unit back. It was by far one of the best pi units out there.

I wish they still made these. Can't find one anywhere.

I'd still like to find one of these. I've been looking for years for one.

Sorry for the delayed response !!! LOL. The Dual Field and Headhunter Pulse are very, very similar in performance. The Dual Field is completely waterproof where the Headhunter is not. The Dual Field gets excellent battery life from 8 AA's. The Headhunter gets poor battery life from 2 9 volts. the Headhunter is very, very light and packs small. The Dual Field is much more robustly built and is pretty light itself. I would personally choose the Dual Field. Hope this helps.

It would be hard for me to recommend spending nearly $600.00 for a Sand Shark unless you also scuba dive and need a detector to work at depth in salt water as well as occasionally use at the beach. Even then, I would go with the Garrett Sea Hunter which is in the same price range. You can find a White's Dual Field's for less than $600 on the used market. The are FAR better detectors for shallow water and wet sand. They will give you AT LEAST 4 inches more depth than the Sand Shark on a 7gm ring.

Is the sand shark worth buying? Or would you recommend another detector?
