People just buy shitty z’s and then think that they are shitty😂 the 300zx TT is amazing , i dailyed a NA for 2 and a TT for 1 and a half , ive got issues with mine but thats because i bought one that had issues LOL get a good condition one or fix it and theyr amazing
Lol my 1995 300zx TT it has been my daily for 7 years. They are not unreliable if you do this thing called "preventive maintenance" and you really dont have to do alot to fix them up
@@4444jackman Just your normal stuff like spark plugs all your fluids filters. If they’re not over 5k then they’re probably fucked and you’ll have to buy a new engine soon after. One guy was selling one near me but he said he used normal gas instead of premium and these engines were built for premium
I have been daily driving my twin turbo Z for 3 years now. Zero issues. Engine bay is a bit tricky to navigate, but if you are committed to a car you learn quickly.
I started with NA sold it and got TT 10 yrs ago. Main issues with these cars is that too many people don't know what they are doing maintaining it. My TT took awhile to undo many mistakes done by previous owner. But it's been super reliable for me. I did daily it for first 3 yrs. These cars started to appreciate in value just recently so might want to get one soon before prices go too high for avg guys. Engine bay is cramped but I've had just as much trouble working on LS400 engine bay. Mine is tastefully modded and a solid 400hp+ car. It gets alot of attention whenever I take it out. Never selling mine.
Quit warning people about its increasing desirability! 😁 You're absolutely right: many Zs were thrashed by people who didn't know better. Rule #1: If it's not in a garage, you're wrong.
Hey man,my dad have a NA z32,140000km , that need some fixes,do you think thats a good car to use to do simple things like go college, and maybe work? How much fuel yours used to drink? Sorry about my english, hugs from Brasil.
After owning a z31 and z32 as my daily drivers for 4 years, I can confirm they have their own small issues that arise constantly. But if you're a mechanic like me it's really not a big problem. I'd day buy one if you have time and patients
I have 2yrs now with mine. A 93 n/a 2+2 with 180k miles automatic. Took me like 6 yrs of searching around until I actually decided to go ahead and get it. Dream car for me. Even it's slow. Just love that body design.
Dude, stop regurgitating the same biases and opinions about the 300zx that everyone has. It’s a good car and like all cars, needs maintenance every now and then.
I have a 1994 twin turbo manual 300zx and it's a dream. Get the turbo version, more power, well built, goes like a brick shithouse. Have more faith in your car bro, nissan builds quality motors.
Wasn't in the market for a 300zx, but found one posted 8 hours ago for $1,000USD. I instantly bought it after a test drive. Worth every penny. I wouldn't say it's difficult to work on, just takes a big learning curve. Yes it's slow, its 26 years old. Reliability goes hand and hand with maintenance. The VG30DE is a great engine known for lasting a long while (besides trouble with the crank once your pushing 500+ HP). Price is reasonable. You don't see these cars anymore and there's still a lot of people that love them. I'm not sure about "upgradability" one. I haven't really tried to customize my Z that much. But yes there isn't many choices for brake lights. But that's a bad example
I had a 1992 Nissan 300ZX TT 5 speed and a 1998 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 at the same time back in the mid 2000s. Neither gave me issues surprisingly. The VG30DETT is super solid. Stock for stock the VR-4 was easily faster in a straight line but throw some curves in and the Z will beat it.
@@slop604 No there is not. Just like with any used car you have to do your due diligence. OEM parts can be tough to find tho. I have 95 TT that I am working on and I get compliments all of the time when I drive it. And you just do not see them on the roads. Bought a 2018 Q50 Red Sport AWD too. I enjoy driving my Z more. Lol...
I’ve owned a 90tt since 2004 and other than maintenance, the only failures I’ve had with it are injectors, knock sensor, coolant temp sensor, and the starter relay behind the driver side wheel well and they were all gradual over the course of the last 16 years. Not all at once. The Z32, turbo or na, are very reliable cars. Just like anything else, they lose reliability with modifications, lack of maintenance, and general neglect.
Bro I've had my 1990 300ZX Twin Turbo for 9 years now and I drive it hard as my daily driver and I have had no problems until recently with the injectors failing so I ordered the new style injector kit from Z1 Motorsports but that is the only issue
I bought mine in early 2014 and daily'd it until October of 2019. I do mean daily! Constant driving too and it really did its job. I drove it like a Z is supposed to be driven as well. If you are not a mechanic....PAY ONE! And not any mech either. They should have a familiarity with Z's. These arent civics or corrollas. There is little to no room in the the engine bay. Someone with knowledge and skill in Z's will have no problem but knowledge and skill are most definitely needed. These are not cheap cars but worth it. They...at least mine is a Dream to drive! Quick and they handle. As well as that, they are head turners! A Z32 is a classic and anyone thats knows cars will recognize that. I constantly get offers (and mine isn't mint either, on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being mint mine is a 6 or 7 at least in my opinion.) and compliments. I hear a lot of "I had one or my brother/cousin/friend had one yeeears ago and loved it"; "wish had (still) had it". Id stay away from TT for the reasons on cost. Plus theyve probably been rode real hard and thats why its for sell. But if you find one from a decent seller and you know your ish then youll be okay. Any car is a daily if treat it right. Watch out for T tops they leak... Other than that they're GREAT CARS! LOVE MINE! Mustangs are everywhere (and for girls lol), camaros are everywhere as well (although my 89 IROC 5.7 with posi was dope) and not as fun. Chargers and vettes are a dime a dozen. There will never be another Z car like the Z32. The 33's are ehhhhhh and who knows what the 34's are going to be.
Gone through a 91, a 92, and currently have a 96 with 18k miles. Great car if you just take care of it. Problem is: the Fast and Furious crowd riced them up and ruined most of them. No offense, but a lot of the ones you showed here are hideous.
I have a 1995 300zx NA with 99k miles in mint condition and have been daily driving it for the last 3 years very few problems. I just keep the maintenance up on it.
I haven't seen this video since I bought my car. So, I bought a 1992 N/A 2+0, and it has been great. I've had it for about 6 months now and daily it. It rides great and is still pretty fast considering its N/A. We have worked on the engine performing a timing kit, and it was not bad, after we did it, we put the car back together in one day! It's always easier to work on it after you learned the first time. It was one of my dream cars so I took the leap, you should too.
Don't know how you're driving on your daily drive but I have daily driven mine for 10 years now it's a twin turbo and haven't had any issues with it like you speak of... Just keep up on the oil changes and check ups when needed and not sitting there hot rodding it everywhere.
I have had my 1990 Twin Turbo 300zx since 1992. Was my daily driver for over 8 years. Then was in storage for 5 years. Now has over 150000 miles on it. I have done a lot of upgrades to it. Now it is a weekend drive car. Everytime I think about selling it, I do some kind of work on it and end up not wanting to sell it.
@dheamoresrocks323 I had actually looked into getting it painted. Found a place to do it. Planning on making an appointment for an estimate this summer.
1 Issue i have run into while owning a 300zx is that good parts can be hard to come by, especially interior pieces and parts for the convertible version. Even online random parts like switches are hard to find and also expensive.
Everybody sweats the mechanical parts, but those are relatively easy to come by. But just TRY to find an interior door pull handle! 🤣 That's why I BABY my switches.
I had a 95 n a 5 speed. I used it as a daily driver. It was fun and reliable, I didn't do much to it. I came upon it due to luck when I went to a car lot to look at a Honda Prelude. I had it for 16 years before the computer started to fail. It was a total dude magnet!
I got a 91 slick top for a drift car, without knowing what I was really getting myself into, and I’d never look back. Everything feels like it’s made to be driven by you, and I have yet to experience another car like that. Some of them were kinda there, some older Toyota’s, and other sports cars, but I’ve never seen such driver focus.
I’ve owned two twin turbos...they’re great cars. Don’t be scared of them. My current 95 twin turbo is 600hp and could be a daily driver. But I leave the average getting around to my M3.
never thought I'd see this video about the 300zx. smh, first time I saw this car, I never stopped hating no matter what anyone says. Right now I have a 280zx which doesn't get as much love as the 280z but I love it!
Z32 is a beauty. Doesn’t need aftermarket parts to look better. I have a TT and tore it down to the bare block & rebuilt it with no issues. Yeah sure the huge plenum blocks access to a lot of things but if you do your deletes you can have that thing off in 5mins tops. But yeah if you don’t know how to wrench expect to spend a lot on labor cause parts are a bit pricey at times. Z32 is meant for those who really love the car even with all the flaws it has. It’s kinda cringing hearing you compare it to a scion.
I own 2 300zx‘s TT and only one has had Injector failure. I absolutely love the looks of the cars even stock more so. Can’t believe you are a Z owner and sort of trashing it. Yes the engine is cramped and not for the average joe but they are wonderful cars and not a Honda Civic engine bay lol
Not sure why people try to drive 2 seater sports cars every day. It's like trying to take off a bolt with plyers. You can do it, but it's not the right tool for the job. Sports cars are meant to be weekend toys not daily beaters. Get a car that has space for your friends, can haul cargo and are designed to be reliable every day. Take the Z out when you want to have some fun. That's my opinion anyway.
I had a 1995 300ZX for almost 15 years. It had just over 100 k on it when I bought it in 2005. I wasn't looking for it, I went to the car lot to check out a Honda Prelude that turned out to be in poor condition. They had a 300ZX there so I got that. I had very few problems, mainly the clutch and master cylinder. I had the100,000 mile service done including a new tuning belt. I sold it and got a 350Z but I'd way rather have another 300ZX, especially a n/a like I used to have. The350s extra power is nice but it just isn't a good car for a daily driver . The 300ZX was way better and it really is my dream car. Thanks for the info!
I know plenty of people who have a TT 300zx, a few of them daily it. If you keep up on your maintance and don't constantly beat the car you won't have many issues. You just have to know more than nothing about the platform. I also have an NA 1995 and love it, but I want to upgrade to a TT, the NA is just too slow. Took me about 3 months and a 7 /1/2 hour each way trip to NJ with a uhaul and a trailler.
My boy bought a 300zx mom turbo with 88k miles clean title and 1 owner for 12k and he has no problems. We’ve been drifting the car multiple times. That shows u can still have fun with very little horsepower
So my buddy’s dad had a 300 sitting under a tarp since I’ve known him, after talking to the owner found out it had been sitting 10 years after an engine swap, he couldn’t get it started. 1 year later he asked if I wanted to buy it, it’s a z32 made in 89 2+2 n/a with Ttops and 5 speed 137k body 64k engine, anyway I picked it up for close to nothing and have been doing all of the repairs myself. I can vouch it’s a difficult vehicle to work on being obd1 and very crammed, however an experienced tech can do it. Currently my z runs and drives but first gears shot so it’s sitting for now. I’ve got big plans but who knows if the car will ever see them lol
I know people who daily drive tt 300zxs aslong as you take care of it check the fluids regularly and do proper maintenance you can daily drive it with no problems
Took me 2 months. But I got it for 9k with 60k miles... definitely a dream car. I'm in 12th grade, had a hot wheel of it in my backpack since 9th grade
i found mine by chance, it’s my dream car and i got it for 1.5k, engine needs pretty much a full install, it was already in the car but almost none of the wire ong harness or hoses were hooked up, lots of work, very confusing, stressful, but i can’t wait to get it on the road
Always did like the Z despite it's lackluster acceleration numbers compared to the GTO, Supra and FD3. Gorgeous shape, shame that it was as fast as a hot hatch.
I wonder if turboing the NA engine will make its acceleration incredibly fast. The motor already has a high compression being a NA, and just boosting it to around 5-7 psi will result into a highly responsive car from the get go
Had my 91zx for 5yrs and only issue was changing the spark plugs/coil packs, two o2 sensors and a flat tire. So dont beat the car, do normal yearly maintenance and please DONT RICE IT OUT. OR IT WILL BLOW UP AS PAYBACK.
It’s not a daily driver especially a Z32! Last year you did this an Damn you cannot add. A 90 300 Zx is 31 years old not even close to 25 years. I enjoy working on my car. Doing it now. You need to do preventative maintenance!
I agree with you till the part you in which you mention that aftermarket support is not as good as other cars.............you can't possibly be serious the aftermarket support is just as strong and a lot more seasoned and older. Thus the process of proven and unproven parts and gains has already taken place. We already know what works and what doesn't while those guys are still trying to figure it out. You may not find discontinued factory parts but there are tons of performance and aftermarket parts to choose from if you know where to look. Hence, If you can't find any Z-31 or 32 parts I am sure any Z shop will help you; since, there are plenty of those popping around lately. I really do not see anyone wanting to go into business restoring Z's if what you say is true as far as the support is concerned as it would be a pain to get parts. Thus if you really are concerned about being daily driven then you should LS it it should take care of your Nissan discontinued parts problem since I have few of those problems myself here at the house.
You definitely make some really good/right points.. That being said, I've wanted one for 25 yrs. or more honesty.. LoL 😆.. I got mine 6-7 months ago... And I got super super lucky... The guy I bought it from needed to get it out of his condo neighborhood... I ended up paying 4.6 for it.. He wanted 5.5.. Wouldn't go no lower then 4.6.. And MAN did I get lucky... he had spent $9,000 on the Nismo rebuild. And he got a carbon fiber racing flywheel clutch combo.. It dark dark green... Twin turbo.. 5 speed and the 2 seater.. And the condition it crazy good.... .. I'm on the east coast.. Baltimore area.. If you ever want to get up let me know.. I like your opinions more than most for some reason... I can tell you love your Z as much as me.... LoL 😆 LoL 😆
I agree with everything. I still love my N/A Slicktop. I think the car is a pure driver's car, though. The way the cockpit is set up is so amazing and comfortable. I live in the Bay Area and go canyon carving all day long on Skyline, 84, and Hwy 9. Don't need the power there, just my big brakes, my suspension, and those fat tires. Other cars might be more fun. I also have an old Datsun that is also not fast, but lots of fun.
I found a 1989 zx 2d coup for sale that is also $4000 with only 96,000 miles. Looks pretty clean. We are in Florida btw so the interior has some 4 rust spots and some cracking on the dashboard still trying to decide if I should go for it
I had one. Nightmare to work on and it’s my dream car always has been. When I had kids I sold mine but I will get another down the road as my midlife crisis whip. It’s my corvette. My favorite car of all time.
I know these videos were a trend :) Bulletproof transmission. Iconic JDM 90s car. It's a 30 years old car so it's a great weekend/summer car. Great project car. It's a unique and beautiful car.
There are tricks to the z32, 1. Electrical issues in the z triggers a multitude of codes, prepare to sacrifice $500 and just change the efi wire harness, eliminates 75% of your issues. 2. Deletes. There are alot if things under the hood that you could delete to make working on it easier in the future.
I dissgree with the performance part. I have never found an issues with getting parts for my Z. Z1 Motorsports, specialty Z, concept Z and steeve millen made alot of parts for this car.
had my 300zx n/a for 5 years no problems car cost $2200 and stomped most cars on the road( brz easy). not to mention they sound the best for this price point hands down. then now i had my 300 TT for 3 years now havent spent more then $1000 to maintain it. stomp all who come my way c6 corvette/2010 camaro and alot of others not worth mentioning. only 300whp. daily drive them putting over 25k a year no problems
jake beavs hey I have a question to ask you. So I’m buying a 300zx off my dad. I want to know if I should keep it stock or swap the engine. I ask you because i think your the only one with a 300zx profile pic. Cool btw
@@uncloggedtoilet1195 just run it stock for awhile see what you think and if your serious about wanting more power then what u got. your looking at around 10-20k to swap to any engine. if you just wanna do a twin turbo swap it would be around $6000 to do so its going to be spendy either way. like i said just drive it stock and theres SOOO many mods you can do and have fun with before you think about swaping the motor. Z1motorsports Concept Z performance have everything you really need. its almost more effective to have fun with the N/A and sell it then buy a twin turbo down the road then to try to swap engines. :) hope that helps
Or u could just twin turbo the NA engine. With stock internals, the engine should handle around 5 psi as the compression is already high for it being a NA motor. No need to swap the engine.
When do issues usually come around for these? I’m looking at a twin turbo right now with only 10,000 miles. Its an absolute diamond in perfect condition.
I've had my 1990 300ZX TT for over 25 years.. )you heard me), often it was a daily driver. I've hardly had any repairs so I have no clue what you're talking about bro. It's one of the most reliable car I've ever had, and others alongside it. Puzzled.
Have NEVER owned one, & UNFORTUNATELY, after watching this video-------- I STILL WANT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🤣🤣 Every since I laid eyes on the Z-I have been AWE-STRUCK!!! To me, it's the LINES, the STANCE & the OVERALL FEELING I think I would get by just OWNING one. I have ALWAYS been a HUGE fan of IMPORTS but the Z has ALWAYS had a 'SPECIAL PLACE' in my heart. To me-it seems that an UPPITY PORSCHE & a HANDSOME, but COCKY SUPRA got together on a ONE NITE STAND, made love-& created one of THE MOST BADDEST, BEAUTIFUL BABIES in the AUTO WORLD... ...& telling ALL of you Z owners that I HATE YOU(because I don't own one, of course), but I ALSO LOVE YOU GUYS(because our taste in AUTO-ART is millennia ahead of everyone else)🤣🤣🤣 So GET YOUR KEYS-START THOSE BABIES UP, & CRUISE TIL YOU CAN'T CRUISE ANYMORE!!! I owned a manual TT from 2003 until 2019. I had very few issues with it in all that time and I was running 400hp. I removed the engine when I first got it, fitted a lightweight flywheel, uprated clutch, exhaust and boost controller.
Just sold my 300ZX Twin Turbo after owning it for 10 years. It was my dream car. Bought it for $6150, then dropped $4000 on the engine due to a host of issues. Mainly the seals on the twin turbos. They were leaking and the pressure in the engine suffered for it. This became a recurring problem that plagued the car. Loved the looks and treated the car better than either of my ex-wives. But the performance suffered due to the seals. She was beautiful, but I wouldn't buy another one.
Hey james i got a 1989 300zx TT the other week and i noticed blue smoke coming out of the car on start, the car only has 78000kms on it and the previous owner hadn't driven the car for about a month though so it was just sitting there, he said the blue smoke might be because of a turbo leak, and also when i turned my car on to park it in the driveway there was black oil that spitted out the exhausts. This only happened once though. I haven't driven it anywhere as I have to register it first, but what do you think is the case with it??
I had 2 85's with over 200k on them and I never had an issue with them. Drove them hard daily with no issues. As long as you maintain them you'll be fine.
I picked up a na z32 that hadnt been turned on in 15 years according to the owner and all it needed was a new battery. These things are bulletproof if you know how to handle it
I like the taillights already , I never had any issues besides to put your hands but above all .. when you really love your car you don’t have any complaints what so ever ... it’s just not the car for you my g
These cars aren’t half as bad as people make them out to be. I’ve had mine for years and my motor was put together and dropped in back in 2006. Still driving it and doesn’t miss a beat. But I will say this. If you don’t take complete care of it properly or you buy one at the mercy of someone else’s maintenance habits, then you will run into issues. And I can’t stress enough that you should never buy the cheap stuff when it comes to these cars. But 300s aren’t that bad to work on if your familiar with the car in and out, and know what your doing. I’d rather work on a 300 than a few other cars. But that’s just my opinion from my experience
I’m actually impressed people daily this cars. As a technician in the automotive industry. I’ve seen so many unreliable cars out there that are meant to be daily For ex focus, Cruze, equinox, escapes, muranos, altimas, enclaves list goes on and on. The 300zx being a 90s car it’s understandable plus it is beautiful so who cares.
I have a green TT. Was not crazy about the color initially but I get so many compliments on it that it grew on me. I'm more of a loud color guy. Lol... BTW your Z is Dope!!
Looking at buying one now, 18 years old in england so insurance would be bad but luckily the one im looking at is the SWB edition, so it is limited and somehow lets me get cheaper insurance, is this a good idea to buy? It runs smooth, sounds great no issues as of right now and comes with spare parts, 85k miles and been in storage from 2007 to 2021 (Its a 2005 300zx). Am I just blinded by the looks and sound of the car? Is this a good idea?

These cars started to appreciate in value just recently so might want to get one soon before prices go too high for avg guys. Engine bay is cramped but I've had just as much trouble working on LS400 engine bay. Mine is tastefully modded and a solid 400hp+ car. It gets alot of attention whenever I take it out. Never selling mine.
Quit warning people about its increasing desirability! 😁
You're absolutely right: many Zs were thrashed by people who didn't know better.
400+hp? can you let me know what you’ve done to the car?, i’m trynna start a build
I have 300zx bro, 😂 I love it!.
@Noble Khanzahdah what?
I have a 1994 twin turbo manual 300zx and it's a dream. Get the turbo version, more power, well built, goes like a brick shithouse. Have more faith in your car bro, nissan builds quality motors.
Only flop is fuel lol
You lost me after the 185th time you said 'Nissan 300zx...'
That’s a steal wtf
How do you sit there inside the beauty that is the 300zx and slander the name of it 😪 (this comment is mostly a joke)
One of the best cars out there. This guy has no idea what he’s talking about. I own three of them and they are very reliable.
Sounds to me like you don't really know what you are talking about
So is there any actual reason not to buy one cause im on the fence
@@slop604 No there is not. Just like with any used car you have to do your due diligence. OEM parts can be tough to find tho. I have 95 TT that I am working on and I get compliments all of the time when I drive it. And you just do not see them on the roads. Bought a 2018 Q50 Red Sport AWD too. I enjoy driving my Z more. Lol...
@@Fly-mg8we oh nice bro! Yeah, everywhere within 500 miles of me has gone dry with 300’s, still on the lookout though.
I was gonna comment about the fast and furious thing, seriously this dude is just spewing nonsense they're great cars
You don t really help your case when you say it's a good car but you have gone through 3 of them
@@eduardo9163 doenst really help your case when your name is the same sound a plunger makes
Everytime I think about selling it, I do some kind of work on it and end up not wanting to sell it.
update? haha
@dheamoresrocks323 I had actually looked into getting it painted. Found a place to do it. Planning on making an appointment for an estimate this summer.
Literally took me 6 months to find this 300zx that I always wanted. By far one of the coolest cars ever made
In my case, I love working on cars and learning, so I think I’m good to go and ready to buy one that I have laid eyes on here in mexico
That's why I BABY my switches.
My Fake Guugl Account man I betttt lmao I luckily haven’t had that issue yet
I found a 300 for 1500 and only had 60k miles it was kept in a garage a old lady use to own it it’s been good hasn’t given me issues yet
Nathan Rodriguez congrats your a lucky son of a bitch. Vg are reliable engines. At 60k (original?) miles that thang is practically brand new
gus parra took the words out of my mouth lol, great find indeed
the Z32 is one most beautiful cars ever!, and it’s so underrated
I had a 95 n a 5 speed. I used it as a daily driver. It was fun and reliable, I didn't do much to it. I came upon it due to luck when I went to a car lot to look at a Honda Prelude. I had it for 16 years before the computer started to fail. It was a total dude magnet!
"I didnt want the twin turbo"aka ...you couldnt afford it
I got a 91 slick top for a drift car, without knowing what I was really getting myself into, and I’d never look back. Everything feels like it’s made to be driven by you, and I have yet to experience another car like that. Some of them were kinda there, some older Toyota’s, and other sports cars, but I’ve never seen such driver focus.
Well said i feel the same working on this car is PAIN but still in love with it
I’ve owned two twin turbos...they’re great cars. Don’t be scared of them. My current 95 twin turbo is 600hp and could be a daily driver. But I leave the average getting around to my M3.
Are there any big problems to having a TT 300zx?
5 reasons not to buy a car thats been discontinued for nearly 25 years.
Cant wait for the next video. 7 reason why not to get dial up internet.
never thought I'd see this video about the 300zx. smh, first time I saw this car, I never stopped hating no matter what anyone says.
My 93 300z is my daily driver and I will never sell it. Love driving it and love all the attention it gets wherever I go.
Had a yellow one, 1990, twin turbo...man those tiny garrets did scream. Loved that car
Why is it that every time I accidentally click on this guys vids, I really want to flog the shit outa him
So my buddy’s dad had a 300 sitting under a tarp since I’ve known him, after talking to the owner found out it had been sitting 10 years after an engine swap, he couldn’t get it started.
When I was 20, my dad wouldn’t let me buy a Z 😔
if its your money then why would it matter
Hater! Lol.... Get your Z Bruh!
Took me 2 months. But I got it for 9k with 60k miles... definitely a dream car. I'm in 12th grade, had a hot wheel of it in my backpack since 9th grade
i found mine by chance, it’s my dream car and i got it for 1.5k, engine needs pretty much a full install, it was already in the car but almost none of the wire ong harness or hoses were hooked up, lots of work, very confusing, stressful, but i can’t wait to get it on the road
good luck you will love it!
I had a 1993 z since 2001 had so much fun with it i sold if about 1 month ago and i miss it
Always did like the Z despite it's lackluster acceleration numbers compared to the GTO, Supra and FD3.
Gorgeous shape, shame that it was as fast as a hot hatch.
I wonder if turboing the NA engine will make its acceleration incredibly fast. The motor already has a high compression being a NA, and just boosting it to around 5-7 psi will result into a highly responsive car from the get go
@@mosswine5417 No, id engine swap all the way, it's much more solid.
@@mosswine5417 Try a Z forum! They're an awesome group of people.

Every car as problems however the 300zx is a fantastic car.Bullet proof and if you know about cars repairing isnt a problem

There is actually plenty of aftermarket support. Enjukuracing.com, stillen, etc etc. Small engine bay only concerns people who can’t turn a wrench.
We are in Florida btw so the interior has some 4 rust spots and some cracking on the dashboard still trying to decide if I should go for it
I love how this dudes pretty much saying how it's a bad car to own and everyone here is like nah haven't really had many problems haha
There are tricks to the z32,
1. Electrical issues in the z triggers a multitude of codes, prepare to sacrifice $500 and just change the efi wire harness, eliminates 75% of your issues.
2. Deletes. There are alot if things under the hood that you could delete to make working on it easier in the future.

jake beavs hey I have a question to ask you.

That is my dream car never forget you got to enjoy many people's dream!

I got my 2 Z32's when they were 9yrs Old and Still have them....1992 NA T-Top and a 1994 Convertible

I’m actually impressed people daily this cars. As a technician in the automotive industry. I’ve seen so many unreliable cars out there that are meant to be daily For ex focus, Cruze, equinox, escapes, muranos, altimas, enclaves list goes on and on.
