James getting ready for big storm Ohio. So we fished last weekend, I threw every thing at perch/ crappie! We didnt move hut both days, gotta switch to evening s, when they are bitten. I caught to perch, 18.5 feet down. On a point between 2 coves used all your teaching. Was truly fun and relaxing. Thank you for the tips!
i like the spot breakdown james does on the lake map. i think thats super helpful and the explanation of why that particular spot is great insight to apply elsewhere. excellent episode
Years ago when I traveled to SD on Waubay we had to do the same thing. Stayed put with big wind and still had a great day of fishing waiting for the perch come to us. Great memories.
I drove back and forth through Webster and Waubay for years and it's a shame I didn't ice fish back then! I might have to make a special trip since I don't go back that way anymore. Keep up the strong work!
Awesome episode In Depth Outdoors team! I love how the video goes with the music and changes with the music there when the wind starts to come up at 10:03 minutes. Looking forward to the next episode. Tight lines!
Next weekend a buddy an I are doing an overnight trip for some walleye. Had the quick fish 3 for the first overnight trip this winter and got a little cold. Definitely bringing the 949i this time. You fellas should really check out Boysen reservoir in Wyoming. The walleye and sauger populations are booming. The state record walleye was caught out of there at just over 17lbs!!
You missed it by a day or so at the beginning of the show Friday evening prime time was off the chain! That was my silver truck and shack in the background! Didn't even see you guys out there, guess I need to pay more attention!
We're dying to get our studio remodel complete so we can get back in studio and do it right. Trying to source materials right now is killing the designer and dragging out the project by several months.
Just had a good weekend out there myself last weekend, some good fishing for sure

James I just hit your channel thinking I gotta find a video with ice hut. Lol
Such a great area to fish. Got a few videos on my TH-cam channel from that area as well!

Great show! Wish the spot on the spot was a little more in depth. Hard to see your screen. It's a good idea and helps put all the ideas together.

James Holst, the wind god.
Another great video. You guys should contact rapala and try and get them to bring the jigging shadow rap to the 🇺🇸.
all perfect eating size 👍
We are up that way tk went to bitter on the hot perch bite
Too cold here
-14 to start the morning here in Richfield Minnesota. It wouldn't hurt my feelings at all if it warmed up a bit.
What tucr rods were you guys using here?
I believe both Pat and James were using a power precision.
I know nothing about ice fishing. At the risk of sounding like an idiot, I'd like to ask, what is that electronic gizmo sitting next to the hole?
What locator cradle are you using?
That's the Hummingbird shuttle that comes with the new ice bundles. humminbird.johnsonoutdoors.com/fish-finders/ice/ice-helix-7-chirp-gps-g4
Thanks, never seen it. Looks really nice, of course made of unobtainium.
They're really nice. The new bundles include the shuttle, a Norsk Lithium battery and charger so you're ready to fish.
What size rod you use? M or m-h
Medium
