Palma de Mallorca - Life and emotions in the capital

Almost half of Mallorca's population lives in Palma de Mallorca. The city is located on the southern coast of the island of Palma Bay. Palma de Mallorca is famous for the La Seu Cathedral - an extraordinary building in the Gothic style, on which the famous architect Antonio Gaudi worked. The old town, located northeast of the cathedral, is a tangle of small streets reminiscent of the city's Arab past. Most of the houses there are privately owned, with some open to tourists and housing small museums or galleries. The Arab baths remind of the presence of the Moors.
