  • The Herodium is an extraordinary man made structure, situated in the West Bank. It is a vast hill containing King Herod the Great’s Palace, and a network of tunnels built within the hill which lead to essential water cisterns. Some of the tunnels were constructed during the Jewish Bar Kokhba revolt, and they also built a synagogue. Joel Kramer, SourceFlix, leads us through the archaeology and the tunnel system, then up to Herod’s Mausoleum which was discovered in 2007 by Prof Ehud Netzer. Herod’s sarcophagus is on display in the Israel Museum. The white, limestone tunnels were amazing to walk through and the view Herod created to overlook Jerusalem is a great feat of engineering!
    • The Herodium model. Is... Joel teaching from the Herodium model before we ascend to archaeological site.
    • Herod the Great or Jes... Joel teaches on the issue of King Herod thinking that he was the fulfilment of the Star prophecy of Numbers 24:17
