For years I tried to make persimmon bread and it never came out right, reason was I didn't know you had to combine baking soda with the persimmon pulp. Without this step it turns gummy and dense. Not all recipes mention this so thank you that you include it

@@lisatutler-jones5992 yea add walnuts I actually scoop them out when ripe and put them in freezer bags and I have some all year round
