Infact ,as we speak our knockdown house is being built in kon khaen and will be transported to our land up in the north,chiang khan. Beautiful houses they are and i can't wait for ours to be delivered on christmas day. Very exciting times ahead my friend ,and maybe we could meet sometime in the future. Happy times ahead my friend.

@@PavelPowel the gloss is just TOA high gloss varnish…we actually mix it with red stain that has a bit of a gloss as well…but it’s really the application using a sprayer that makes the difference…

Don't mean to be too fwd but can you give us a ballpark figure with regard to the size of the house (i.e. SQ meters, 1 or 2 BR & baths) as well as your cost all in on the home, delivery & setup? Additionally, who did you purchase the home from & are you happy having chosen the manufacturer that you chose? I'm retired & been living in Chonburi for the past 5 years. My Thai wife and I are planning on buying or building a house in TL next year.
No worries..thanks for watching… Ballpark I guess it’s about 92… But that’s with the front porch…It’s a two bedroom one bath… The house was 1 million Baht… that included everything… The delivery, installation, the modern bathroom… Kitchen cabinet that they gave us free built-in, they would’ve connected to power differently but I had made it underground coming from my pole so they connected it my way I think we gave him an extra $20 for that… Lol the foundation was separate that had to be done first so we pay construction company 25,000 bahtAll in for the foundation and 1 million baht all in for the house… And if you take a look at James Abroad TH-cam channel he actually walked through our house before we bought it when it was still on the company site… He made his video in December so you have to scroll through his videos for December… We bought it in January… On the video it was 1.5 million… Shortly after it went to 1.3 and then when we Bought it they gave it to us for 1 million… Very cool company… Family I believe their Facebook channel and videos they’re just down the street from us…I’m trying to find a sunny day when I can make a video tour of our house and talk about all that stuff… To be continued

I am retiring to Thailand in November and though I will rent initially, your house is so cheap (and beautiful) in due course I will be tempted to take the risk of leasing a plot of land and building a knockdown on it. I assume the wood is fully treated against termites?
@@malin5468 not sure about ‘treated’ but by nature teak is termite resistant.. that is they cannot penetrate the wood… They may try to stick to the outside of it like a mud wasp would… But your regular maintenance is just knocking those things off if you see them… we’re six months in and there are no termites to be seen… There are some ants on the ground like we spray that Jen dried in a can maybe once or twice in the six months and we don’t see the answer anymore… It may depend on if you put your house in the middle of a dance and humid jungle or the middle of an open field etc. etc. but in the end of the day this is a great house and it’s not giving us any worries with respect to insects…And we don’t even use screens in the windows… Lol
Thats cheating, bringing in prefab wooden house.. I do like the Traditional style houses though. The seat half way up the stairs is a good touch, you can have a rest before finishing the climb.
