Fun fact about this Figuart subline, Shinkocchou seihou roughly translates to “true bone carving method” and the reason for that is because the main mission statement behind this subline back when it started in 2014 with the Kamen Rider Kabuto 2.0 release is that they wanted to make their Tokusatsu figures look like dudes in rubber/spandex suits & get the most accurate proportions possible. See, the toku figures prior to 2013 had tendency to look somewhat stylized & be a bit on the skinny side so the seihou line sought to rectify that by redoing a lot figures from the main shf line with this new design philosophy on top of also making new figures that aren’t based on old releases. They’ve gone as far as showing in a blog post that they actually did a full body scan of the suit actor for the recent Seihou Gokai Red figure. Recently, they’re also celebrating their upcoming 100th release in the Seihou line, that being the Kamen Rider the NEXT version of Kamen Rider 1 (P-Bandai) which is significant not only because it’s the 100th Seihou release but also because it’s a redo of the very first Sh Figuart… ever, from all the way back in 2008.
Tiga: Zeperion Beam Dyna: Solgent Beam Ribut: Galaxium Beam The Original Ultraman is Specium Beam For their eyes, yes it’s somewhat intentional depending on the lighting in the series or in night time
Something I love about the ultraman shinkocchou seihou line is that they model the figures after the suit actor's physique. They would bring them in to model for them. The original release of tiga came with a pamphlet that showed the process behind it.
Some information for you :3 Tiga Dyna Gaia are heisei era's first three ultraman shows (commonly referred to as TDG mainly due to their collective influence & popularity which continue to this day) Tiga and Dyna are of the same universe While Gaia is in his own universe Most modern Ultra shows (seasons) happen within its own universe (different Earths), but many of them can travel between dimensions for collab There are a few planets that are either Ultra's (as a species) homeland, or has mystical powers that bestow people with the ability to become one Most Ultra's signature beams (commonly fire in the + or L pose) has their own names, for Tiga it is Zeperion Beam, Dyna is Solgent Beam, Gaia is Photon Edge (unique because its not a beam fire from his hands)
Tiga sold out because it's one of the most influential Ultraman this decade, it was so popular back in the day that it practically reenergized ultraman outside of Japan
The eyes on tiga should be slightly yellow-er like dyna's, I used a gundam real touch yellow marker to stain it and cleaned the excess with a cotton bud which works really well since the eyes are slightly textured
This has become an example of a range Ive only got a cursory knowledge of but the product is so well executed and fairly priced that I cant help my self. A testiment to how quality can get new customers rather than selling garbage to only the most invested. Jada toys have been the same way. Theres something that just scratches the collecting lizard brain when something looks good and moves well. I know its wrong but Ive always heard/said the beam as "Spacey-on" ray. Close enough for government work.
Bandai is knocking out their figures for a while now. I actually love the ultraman model kits too, it's so good that you don't really need to paint it anymore, just Bandai doing amazing with their ultraman line from both figures and model kits
I’m really tempted to get one of the ultra men or kainmen rider style figures from Figuarts. Just seems like such a large range of figures I have nothing to do with
I can tell you why tiga sold so fast because that season is one of the most beloved seasons of Ultraman so whenever there's something with him in it that shit will sell
Hey Anthony, I think that comparison shot between Dyna & Spider-Shot really proves your point about what’s wrong with the proportions on most marvel legends figures. Dyna has a much wider chest and has bigger shoulders than Spider-Shot which makes Dyna look much more heroic despite being relatively slender otherwise.
I have been eyeing these Ultraman figures, and it seems to me Bandai really puts some love and care into them. I may get Z as my first to see how much I like the line. They all look so good though, and the accessories are just a Chef's kiss.
Honestly I feel like Bandai's Toku releases (Kamen Rider, Sentai, & Ultraman) are the ones that get the most effort put into them and are genuinely top tier stuff. Compared their other stuff, the anime releases can be kind of a mixed bag depending on the line, and their Marvel/DC stuff feels phoned in imo.
@@justicemagnum5242 I also looked at Kamen Rider and Sentai and I gotta say have to agree. I managed to order Z Original for 35 bucks on Amazon, and I personally feel like it's a robbery. I'm excited for it, and hoping it's the first in the Toku collection I am playing on having.
@@brockwtrs Awsome! hope you enjoy that figure. If could recommend some stuff for Rider & Sentai in the future: for Rider I'd recommend checking out Kamen Rider Geats Magnum Boost form, Kamen Rider Gotchard, or any of the Heisei Generations releases (Heisei Generations figures are re-releases of older main Rider figures but are still super solid, some of which have m,ore accessories than their original release), and for Sentai I'd recommend either Zenkaiser or Don Momotaro.
Yeah I'm not paying $85 for a figure with a bad torso and paint rub issues. Will still go for ZD toys Ultraman for light up features and equally poor articulation for $20.

Also you should review the power type version of tiga. He's got great energy effects. You can find him online pretty easily for below msrp.
I might get him. Idk. But i agree. Modeling after the suit actors is great.

While Gaia is in his own universe

Yeah but it sold out right at the time of the review... That's what i was referencing.
Tiga was my first Ultraman back in the 90s. So I have a lot of nostalgia for him lol
Great review and agree the heroic proportions on these Ultramen are fantastic. So cool to see you reviewing more tokusatsu characters
The eyes on tiga should be slightly yellow-er like dyna's, I used a gundam real touch yellow marker to stain it and cleaned the excess with a cotton bud which works really well since the eyes are slightly textured
Nice to see you review shinkochu seiho figuarts. You should review the main character kamen rider figuarts. They’re generally very solid for the price
I’d like to see these Ultra Men scaled with those Hiya Godzillas. They’d prolly fit pretty good together.
i suspect so

My favorite Ultraman beside Zoffy and Q.
Love Dyna as a show, figure is awesome too, really happy to see these reviews comin from you!
Dam you be really diving into the Ultraman now, Im all for it!!
You did Tiga and Dyna. Now you just need Gaia. T-D-G forever 👍
Dyna was actually the sequel series to Tiga if it didn't know.
HE GOT THE GOAT, FINALLY!!!
I’m really tempted to get one of the ultra men or kainmen rider style figures from Figuarts. Just seems like such a large range of figures I have nothing to do with
Hopefully they will make Nexus for SS Version.

SOMEWHAT related, but I hope we get a 6-inch Jet Jaguar
We are. They're making one now actually
@@AnthonysCustoms awesome! I hope to get that along with a Hiya MechaG and Godzilla and Kong when they all release!
you dont wanna buy first release tiga or reissue version both got lots problems ,only the second reissue one is good one

Anthony, will u also review the SS Classic Ultraman?
The Ultraman Rising Ultra is especially weird, thinking of reviewing that?
I don't think so. Too much weird lol
