    The guitarist's name is Wes Borland. He is known for outlandish costumes, make-up, solid color contact lenses, etc.
    He's an underrated musician in his own right.

    This video makes me very nostalgic because when I was a teenager like you back in the late 90s and early 00s Limp Bizkit was one of the bands that were always on my Discman in high school. They were two pioneering Nu Metal bands in implementing a DJ in their ranks along with bands like Linkin Park or Incubus and great erans. Also one of the peculiarities of the band is that each member has their own style, and I was always impressed by Wes Borland, the guitarist who was characterized by wearing makeup and strabotic and bizarre outfits that gave him the image of the band

      It sounds like he asked what it "was" called (as opposed to what it "is" called). Before everyone knew of NuMetal, MTV VJs would usually refer to this and Kid Rock as being a rap rock hybrid. How acceptable is this?

    • @FlyboyHelosim

      More rap metal really. They have some elements of Nu-Metal but true Nu-Metal has a much more diverse sound like Slipknot.

    Nice! They are from here, Jacksonville, FL; back in the early nineties we used to watch them play at the Milk Bar on East Bay street downtown and also Einstein's at Jax Beach. They were just a local bar band, but nice guys that loved to drink. I remember my ears ringing when we went home after they played because their amps were turned way up! Once this video dominated MTV, they moved away. Thanks for the memories...

    • @DPW864

      No they didn't. It was either Nu Metal or to a lesser extent, rapcore or rapmetal but Nu Metal was the generally accepted term

    • @RichLuciano1
      @RichLuciano1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DPW864 yes, they did. Do you think I'm making it up? They didn't have a buzz word for yet. I can even recall a vignette MTV did lumping Eminem in the Kid Rock and LB calling it the rap rock hybrid. However, they did say in the clip the Em was purely hip hop. Anyway I hope this helps you recall back to the late 90's days.

    This genre was pretty much called nu-metal. Some bands were more rock (Korn, Rammstein) while others were more hip-hop based (Limp, Linkin Park). But all those bands were friends who all kinda revolved around Korn's Elementree Production company (at the time). What's actually kinda funny is how every youtube reaction account has listened to all the Elementree friends (Korn, Rammstein, Limp, etc) except for one band - Orgy. You should try reacting to their songs called 'Stitches' and 'Fiction' and I bet you'd like how they're more electronic/80's sounding than any other band from the time =)

    Nu-Metal straddled the line between hip hop and rock. Or more specifically metal. They had a DJ as part of their setup, which is why it was a hybrid of both. So in a way, yes it does technically count as hip hop.

They've had collabs done with them by Tech N9ne, songs Wind Me Up or Work on This, Serj from SOAD & Morgan from Kittie, song Feel Good, Lajon from Sevendust, song Stand Up. Other songs you should react to by Hed Pe are Bartender, Ground, Represent uncensored video, Suffa, Renegade, Blackout or their new song/video First Blood. Thx & keep the great reactions coming 👊🤘

She screwed his friends, used him for his money and when tried to understand why he endured it, he just figured he just did it for the nookie.
