I am not a Baptist yet I enjoyed listening to Dr Stanley’s sermons whenever I caught the telecast. I found his Virginian accent to be quite endearing similar to Earl Hamner, Jr’s,author of ‘Spencer’s Mtn’ & narrator of the Waltons tv show.

What a great man of God!!! Oh, how I loved his teaching. He has left us so much to hold on to, and I am grateful. I am sad to hear that he's no longer present on this planet. I'm literally in tears rn. 😢 I just finished watching one of his sermons. After I finished I wondered in general if any of his uploads are recent. I check online just to see that he passed a day after my birthday last year. I am so hurt that it has been that long and I had no idea. I had been watching him since 2014. He never changed as a pastor & never did it for the money. I loved him. 😩 One of the most realist and original pastors who could ever teach the word, nothing more, nothing less. I am mourning 🥺 him right now as I am on my knees preparing to say my nightly prayers before bed. I would have loved to have visited his church and hear his teaching in person as I am more in my faith like never before. This hurts to the core, but now I am going to watch every last sermon from beginning to end in remembrance of his name. Thank you for all the work you put into accomplishing your purpose. God is proud of you & I am too. Rest peacefully! SN: I don't usually cry for ppl I don't really know, but this is so different. As God continues to soften my heart I find myself crying a lot more than I would have in the past, not to mention the reasons why. My sensitivity and vulnerability has increased, as I have even cried watching, "Boss Baby" for the first time, "The Good Dinosaur" & "Family Switch". What a wonderful man of God! I remember many years ago living in Houston TX and going through a marriage break up, a very dark time of my life. My mom passed away the same year, followed by my dad 2 years later. I listened intently to Dr. Stanley's sermons and read many of his books. He was such an inspiration to me and helped me as did prayer to make it through that time of my life. Thank you Dr. Stanley
The best part is he's finally where he's always wanted to be his entire life. God used him to touch so many people and I'm definitely one of them. I never got to meet you Dr. Stanley in this world but I'll be sure to give you a great big heavenly hug one day. What a day that will be!!
