A casino isn't a harmless addiction. Unless you're extremely lucky, then you'll win big. Or you have a fluke of luck. But they do lure you in with promises of winning. On the plus side - not all addictions are harmful. Some are harmless. Goes both ways.
I don't. My belief is that there are no 'addictions' without a health cost, whether, physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually or relationally. If it constantly drives your attention away and motivates you to consume more and more, disregarding the long-term future it's creating, then there is nothing "harmless" about it, I believe.
This is a real eye opener for everyone who has a gambling addiction and it’s not only affecting their family and friends but also their community as well and it’s not too late to get help

My father was a gambling addict. I was child and i remember the conflicts that my parents had. I hated the slot machines, what my father did. It seems like a paradox, but when I became an adult I also fell into gambling (especially slot machines). For years my life was a total failure. I lost money, energy, health, time and people. Today, i can say I haven't played for 13 years. It's been 13 years since Christ set me free from that destructive addiction. Today i can say I don't even feel like I've ever played, God has totally purified my mind of that garbage, and for that I thank him so much. Today i can say I ‘m married for several years, I have three awesomes children and many projects. At the time of my addiction, I never imagined I would be like this today. Praise God! Very good video, i very appreciated it! 😊

All the best! Overcoming gambling for good is indeed a remarkable achievement. You should keep offering others the example of your life. I also played roulette online, for real money, during a week-end in the COVID lockdown in April 2020, and I stopped doing it after losing 20 USD and 20 euros.
I was one of them. And yes, I regret it. Just wish I paid attention ahead before I did these stupid mistakes, I lost my life and getting back has been hard to pay everything back.
Gambling addiction is a terrible disease. It has ruined lives and destroyed families. This is another PSA episode with Serj Avakian. I love these episodes. This is another episode worthy of being a Special. Rob Feldman and Alexandra Soroka were wonderful in this video, but of course this story was all about Rob's character. Thank you for informing people that you can alway get help from gamblers anonymous. But realize that gambling can be the ultimate addiction and rush. Two movies that show this are Christopher Walken in Deer Hunter and Mark Wahlberg in The Gambler. Only heaven and God can help you if you get no thrill, except when you are gambling with your life.
Right, @yamagata008. All addictions are diseases and one of the worst is pathological gambling and the thrill of adrenaline in addicts. Many families have been ruined by the addiction of at least one member to gambling.... Excellent commentary, as always 🙂👍
Thank you soooo much on these types of contents that includes the statistics and how to get help, they are very informative. Great actors getting the message across .
This reminds of a movie called Going for Broke. Delta Burke plays Laura, a woman with a serious gambling problem which got so bad she lost everything including her freedom. Gambling can get you into serious trouble. I'm glad he came to his senses. Nice to see Serj back again, he's one of my favourite actors. 👍
Certainly, @ScreenBlaster13. Like all addictions, pathological gambling can get us into serious families not only ourselves but our families as well. And thanks for your complimentary comments towards Serj's performance. We will pass on your message to him... 🙂👍
Wow. It's really powerful. Compulsive behaviors towards gambling and other addictions can be damaging and dangerous. Anything can happen if you continue this path of compulsive gambling. Like former addicts will say you're not in your mind, and you're not yours history when you have compulsive thoughts.
100% agree with you, @RicoLC85. Pathological gambling is a very dangerous disease and like all addictions, it also has no cure. It can be controlled but the urge to relapse always remains latent. That's why it is vital, in addition to therapy, the support of other people... Thanks for commenting! 🤗
This is the content, I follow DramatizeMe for. This is the golden content. Thanks to Serj Avakian, Alexandra Soroka and all the other cast and crew for this and other eye opening videos. Keep up the good work. Sending loads of love to your team from India
I always admire your actor in the crew especially the man that often starred as bad guy. Each time he narrated the procedures of any scheme going on in this world, his way of presenting is of great concern with specific in-depth information very few know about. You come to the right way, Mr. Garry.
Gambling everything you have worked hard for in life isn't worth losing over an addiction. Like gambling for example. You lose everyone and everything. It's a very difficult; if not an impossible road to get your life back on track. Excellent and a very informative video this evening DramatizeMe! ❤

What a great story and I hope that lot's of people watch this video because it's such a powerful message and an eye opening..This addiction is the worse because once people start and cannot stop..It gets so bad that they start losing their families..I'm glad that he went for help and hopefully he will change his life to become a better person 👍
My friend has a friend from Russia where her boyfriend borrowed her money around $10,000 for gambling and he promised he will give it back soon. And she gave it because she loved him. And he of course, he never gives it back. He dissapeared to unknown and leave her and her family in shit….
Awesome info again! Wish my brother would understand this! Always going to Vegas. We have the Hard Rock here in Tampa FL, but rarely go there. Thanks!!
I admit once a week, I go play those machines. I never spend more than $40 worth. If I lose it all, I let it go and not try to win it back. If I win big like doubling it after a game fever, I walk away. It’s good to quit while you’re hot. Usually, if I’m almost out but then hit jackpot that takes me back to the amount I started with, I walk away deciding not to tempt fate. Rules to follow when gambling: Don’t bet more than you can afford to lose. Just use a little extra you have lying around not money you need for something else. Quit when you’re hot. Hot streak can go cold at any time. If you lose all you started with, don’t try to win it back because you'll likely just lose more. Just walk away because it's not your lucky day. If you win back all you've lost and have broken even, walk away rather than tempt fate. You didn't win anything but you didn't lose anything either.

A close friend of my family was addicted to gambling. I remember this from my childhood. They were pretty wealthy, with a house, a jaguar and a boat . They lost it -almost- all due to her gambling. They - husband and wife, and most of their 3 children took on 2 jobs to keep up with the debt. It was horrible. She eventually got out of it by doing therapy and having herself banned from casinos in a 50 km radius….
@cradleofcrime-bydeathmetal5823 Good that she has managed to overcome it with therapy, but she must stay strong and away from the anxiety generating sources with the support of her loved ones, as addiction can be controlled but it is a disease that has no cure and the propensity lasts a lifetime..... Thank you for your testimony!
@@DramatizeMe.Special 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 thank you for your understanding of the problem. I’m glad they overcame it as a family. It was super difficult though and we tried to help and give support as we could ( we were living overseas but still had contact with them). @@DramatizeMe.Special yes, it’s a great thing she managed to get it under control. But such things will always be a life long risk factor… . This is a wake-up call to many gamblers across the globe. There are so many gambling addicts in my country Kenya. The youths are turning to be zombies who doesn't want to work hard. The believe in the myth of becoming billionaires over night through gambling. So many families are broken because of this menace, students are out of schools and the poor are becoming poorer with the hope of winning a large chunk of money. Thank you again for your good work. I am your ardent follower from Kenya.
I went for brunch at a casino once, and overheard a woman saying that she just spent all of her kids Christmas money and she was now broke. The house always wins.
Yes, @emirinan5816, it is a very serious problem that has ruined not only the addict, but also entire families. Usually people talk about drug addiction, but gambling addiction is one of the most dangerous addictions....
I remember when I was 18 I went to the casino with my childhood friend and her mom, it was my first time in a casino and I had 20 dollars to my name and I said to myself I'm only going to use 10 of my dollars to play a few games after that I'm done. My friend mom showed me some games that only took a dollar so I played those and after spending 4 dollars with no luck I said I'll go one more time and try something else and I won 50 dollars and I said well that is it for me for tonight I knew my limit!

I went for brunch at a casino once, and overheard a woman saying that she just spent all of her kids Christmas money and she was now broke. The house always wins.
Love u Alexendra. Would like to see you more. Love from India.
Very good video. This is a very big problem now especially because you can now gamble online.
10:55 Alexandra is an alien, listen how her voice changes but she quickly tries to sound human again!!!
😂
Lol that's the vehicle's sound
Interesting and intelligent channel pure lesson of life 😊
Great lesson 😊
I didn't know that gambling addiction was this serious. Also who would have thought even the design of a casino is a trap. Very nice video.
Yes, @emirinan5816, it is a very serious problem that has ruined not only the addict, but also entire families. Usually people talk about drug addiction, but gambling addiction is one of the most dangerous addictions....
With that women as wife, I would lose the slot machine any day. Is that man crazy to ignore her advance. Damnn .
Now we r addicted of ur videos😂😂😂😂
I remember when I was 18 I went to the casino with my childhood friend and her mom, it was my first time in a casino and I had 20 dollars to my name and I said to myself I'm only going to use 10 of my dollars to play a few games after that I'm done. My friend mom showed me some games that only took a dollar so I played those and after spending 4 dollars with no luck I said I'll go one more time and try something else and I won 50 dollars and I said well that is it for me for tonight I knew my limit!

Saroka, You are the most attractive actress to me out of all actors... love you❤
Thank you for educating me never knew that.
This video is an important reminder to all gambling addicts, that you must know how to handle or limit one's self in gambling, Serj Avakian the host as usual has meaningfully collaborated the disadvantage of gambling that will ruin it's family and life. Alexandra Soroka, the beautiful actress and the guy who portrayed the role of a gambler portrayed their roles efficiently (kindly post names of the character casts to know them all ) 😊 tnx for this amazing reminder to all gamblers from the Philippines with love 😊

Good evening everyone. It's DramatizeMe video time again. Woohoo! 💯🙏😊❤️
Good evening, @mandeepsheera6272. Thanks for your greetings 😊❤
Gambling is a waste of time and waste of money as far as I'm concerned..
I have seen someone gambled his whole salary and had his wife and two children at home waiting on him. He couldn't go home empty handed so he borrowed money from a friend, bought some poison and took his own life. Gambling is a serious addition.
Very serious, @evelynbeharry7550. And any addiction can ruin our lives. It's a major issue, especially when we have children....
Roger should make another video, "If Casinos were honest" 😂😂
This video was really insightful ive never gambled and i never will gambling is truly dangerous!
You are 1 of my favourite
Thank you❤ @dramatizeme you made me realize that it's just a trap I'll try to avoid it from now on

In South Dakota gambling brought in many pawn shops, crime, and drugs. Ruined everything!
